Pros and cons

This PMS has allowed us to improve our revenues. It is great and easy to navigate and allows for good data capture.
We love the fact that we are able to change things on the go by having an app. The cloud based system is great and changes are implemented immediately.
The Hops system has an excellent colour scheme and layout, and has many useful features.
They don't have mobile app and you can go in the past and edit historic transactions which is not ideal.
Transfer of data from previous system was a little sticky and stressful and has on a couple of occasions let to a little confusion down the line.

One stop shop!

Pros

Cons

Based on the data captures some more reporting would be great!

Happy Hop User - A small hospitality business with complex needs.

Really value working with HOP - forward thinking, great customer service, they tick all the boxes that we need - the only software package that could do this within our budget.

Pros

HOP offers everything that a medium size hospitality business would need but they offer it at a price that is affordable for smaller business too.

Cons

As a small business, some of the features are not needed and the terminology is challenging for newbies - but once you get the hang of it, it is easy to use.

A Creative Property management System

Really good tech team , friendly , responsive and they keep increasing their features . OTA connectivity is on par with other Systems. I have 12 property with HOP.Dale at HOP is very good and knowledgeable,.

Pros

I have used numerous property mgmt system and HOP is way better then any of the competitors as it comes with significant features and can be used effectively to manage events , Small to mid size hotels .Cloud based so access is easy from anywhere . Reporting system is robust .

Cons

They don't have mobile app and you can go in the past and edit historic transactions which is not ideal .

Overall I am impressed with the software and the amount of features it has, only minor tweaks are needed. No critcal defects observed.

Pros

The Hops system has an excellent colour scheme and layout, and has many useful features.It has some very useful customization features for the reports in the CSV format, where you can choose what columns you want and alter the text size and data format to make it easier for other users to access. It has online support with friendly customer service.

Cons

The navigation, minor tweaks would make it easier to find information and then I would rate it a 5 star. Some times it can take too many clicks to carry out a task, needs the number of clicks analysed and shortened e.g. by minor tweaks to the navigation. Information can be burried where you have to drill down through the navigational levels. Would like a similiar navigation to Amazon where it is much easier to find things.If it could recall previous settings such as calender date last entered, it would reduce repetition of tasks, such as entering the same booking date numerous times.Have observed very minor defects, nothing critical.

HOP is it!

I have implemented HOP across multiple properties that I have managed and would keep using it in the future.

Pros

Easy to implement and to use the basic functions of the systemHas the best support team I have ever encountered across any system and developers do listen and implement requests for features in, normally, a timely manner

Cons

HOP is complicated to master and lacks some reporting tools that bigger properties would require. These reports are able to be gathered indirectly by compiling info from CSV files across other reports.

HOP Software

HOP is basically a one stop shop and has everything a hospitality business would need at reasonable prices. The revenue management tool is great as is the conference diary.

Pros

Great system that does so much, its always being updated too and they are happy to take on board any reports or changes in the system to make it slicker. Migration was a bit of a nightmare but I think we were one of the first groups to sign up so I'm sure they have this down to a fine art now.

Cons

I feel reports perhaps could be improved and more easier to pull.

Great start

Due to the Pandemic and us only just setting up in Jan 2020, we haven't had the opportunity to really explore the software but the support from HOP was very promising.

Pros

Ease of use. Reporting. Able to manage many facets of the business from one place.

Cons

Transfer of data from previous system was a little sticky and stressful and has on a couple of occasions let to a little confusion down the line.

Pros

HOP has been easy to use for all of our team, has not required lengthily training and customer support is always fast and readily available. We love the fact that we are able to change things on the go by having an app. The cloud based system is great and changes are implemented immediately.

Cons

As discussed with the team - we have made a few minor suggestions to the software which would make our daily use even easier.

The onboarding process was thorough and the staff always had time to assist with enquiries. The ongoing support is fantastic,the staff are very knowledgeable and assist in a very clear, calm and patient manner. Everything is explained easily while navigating the screens ensuring we achieve everything required when reaching out for help.

Pros

The main tasks are easy to complete. Adding or amending bookings, viewing a general schedule of bookings. The integration with online booking companies is an essential part of our business.

Cons

We are still learning a lot about what the system has to offer.

Good overall product

Pros

We used several different softwares over the years and never been 100% satisfied with the service received. Last year we changed to HOP and the process of moving system was very easy and the support is second to none. Any issue is getting dealt with immediately.

Cons

Every two weeks the new features which are getting implemented are getting updated. During this time we are unfortunately experiencing some down time for the system but we got assured that this will change soon.

Ive solved accomodation settings for when clients come along to visit, it is helpful to the team given that the we save time in accomodations for everyone involved in doing business with our company.

Pros

This software was impactful from the very moment I started using it, it completely facilitated the work done by all of the office saving us a lot of time, to focus on other tasks, the UI was neat and easy to navigate beginner friendly and customer service was readily available.

Cons

Not really difficult to use but having such a simple UI maybe can come as an issue in the long road since features can be quite limited, as it evolves im sure the hospitality setting will improve.
