I've used other POS systems and Semper is one of the least user friendly
steps are not simple
does not take into account the pressure from waiters side in processing orders as it takes very long and becomes frustrating to use - wastes time in waiting for simple tasks to be completed (e.g. waiting for the text box to open, merging a table, splitting a table etc.)
No easy to follow User Manual for Semper Conference especially.  It's difficult to understand how to use the various functions, e.g. function sheet etc.  (not activated on our side)

Not user friendly

IT HAS BEEN A BIT TRICKY, BUT HELPFUL. I USE CMS AND IT IS EASIER AND ALSO LOVE THE FACT THAT YOU CAN CHANGE THE DESCRIPTION OF THE PRODUCT WITHOUT ANY HUSTLE

Still Learning

Overall, Semper is a great management tool. It is user friendly and even if there is something we do not understand, we can call Semper and we will immediately receive help.

Thank you very much for the positive response. On the accounting side, a tremendous has been done in recent releases and we would like it very much to share that with you.  

Functional PMS

Hi You are able to use multiple properties on one database and distribute to different OTA's as well as the own website booking system. 
Semper has a built in CRM capability to enable you to build extensive profiles for each guest. 
In addition, you are able to integration to 6 different CRM systems. 

Using Semper for Reservations

The system is good for small independent hotels, It serves the daily needs of reservations, front office and housekeeping and accounting.

Customer services is easily reachable although I do feel like we shouldn't have to call in so many times for a variety of issues. [sensitive content hidden] is quite amazing and always helpful; her product knowledge range is great and there is no issue she has been unable to help me with. She is empathetic and resourceful. A lot of us on my property actually like speaking to her mostly.

Frustrating at best. I have to add that we had a junior technician who constantly impressed us with her service and willingness to help us. She was a breath of fresh air and I felt that she was a gem. The system truly disappointed compared to her desire to resolve issues.

Great Easy to use system
