When it comes to HCM Software, ADP is the world's recognized leader. They continue to improve their software and bring new innovations and products to the market.
Every cloud-based software experiences downtime. While it happens from time-to-time, ADP does their best to minimize and resolve outages.

ADP Vantage is easy to use and user friendly, mostly it is great to use. However I guess, if you want to use function smoothly, you need to use full HCM software.

Our goal is to provide an easy access point for employees so that they don't have to remember 3 or 4 passwords to different sites. ADP is offering us a way to meet that goal with the modules that they are implementing and upgrading. Our experience with implementation of these modules hasn't always gone smoothly so I think they could do a better job there. However, our account manager is fantastic so we have no complaints there.
The focus on bringing better human capital management solutions to businesses. ADP has always been a go to for me with regard to payroll, but I am utilizing more and more of their HCM modules as I continue using it.
They are still behind their competitors with relation to the human capital management side.

Overall a good software. Not too complicated and gets the job done.
I have used this software for a couple years and I can say it is very user friendly and always evolving to ensure its customers are satisfied. There software is very secure and you don’t have to worry about any of them being compromised. The scheduling, HCM and payroll functions work seamlessly as well
The customer service could use some improvement and being that they are constantly evolving at times it is hard to find old features.

We like the real-time payroll processing capability and also to have WFM and payroll in one system.
Workforce management. Our move from Kronos and our complicated rules seem to be non-standard in the industry.

Easy to implement from other products, especially ADP Vantage. All features are straight forward and ease to use.
there are many good features, I do not know it is a cons, but since it has too many good features, it is little hard to remember all good features.

Very intuitive and easy for the end user to navigate; overall, less clunky than ADP. Even people who aren't familiar with software or computing for that matter can figure it out easily. The app is great as well and a necessity due to our mostly mobile workforce. Pay stubs and forms are clearly organized, labeled, and the graphs are a nice addition. Good value for money in comparison to other tools.
Sometimes it's confusing to have different login pages for SSO vs. regular login. Also, the SSO portion is iffy. At the end of the day, this is highly confidential financial information - perhaps SSO isn't the best method if someone could very easily be on someone else's computer and have access to their compensation information by clicking one link on a company intranet.

Bumpy at best. Some days I actually say I miss ADP.
I like the 'one' database aspect the best.
Implementation was very lacking. Nearly a disaster. I am over 2 years in and still have not been able to get everything we originally intended to do up and running.

When implementing, you must know ahead of time what your organization set up is and how it will expand out to all levels. It would also help to have some programming background. Dayforce is one system, so be aware all changes can effect another.
It is an incredibly comprehensive and customizable product. The training that is offered is vast and at all levels. Implementation was supportive and provided a team that worked well with ours. The offer so many avenues of training, support and networking. I love the payroll side and I find it much easier to use than ADP's Workforce now.
Customer support is not as responsive as I would like. It is not an instant set up, it takes a lot of programming to customize it to your company. Dayforce is not a cookie cutter system it takes work to make sure that your organization is reflected correctly for HR and Payroll.

From payroll to time keeping, benefits to recruiting, Dayforce fully integrates all functions of managing a workforce. The Ceridian support team is also very responsive and knowledgeable.
It is a newer product so there are a few things that need tweaking for it to improve even more, but again, the support is there, Ceridian cares about its customers.

The company I worked for moved from ADP to Dayforce for Payroll and it was an easy transition and the mobile app was great.
I didn't have any issues with this software while using it on my PC or mobile device.

Overall Dayforce is the best workforce management software in the industry. If you have to do anything HR related, Dayforce will definitely help you get the job done.
What I love most about Dayforce is its ability to integrate payroll, benefits, talent management and other HR related features into a single easy to use software.
The software is excellent. I wish there was a bit more documentation on new features since there are always new features coming out.

Dayforce allows our organization to house all of our employee records and performance reviews. Previously we had ADP and we had issues with retaining employee records with accurate information.
Very easy to maneuver through screens once you get the hang of what you want to see.
Terminated employees were not included in the search feature but this has recently changed and a box has been added to show those employees.

Reporting is very difficult and sometimes limited. Instead of being easy to use, it requires admins to understand computer science logic equations compared to what we had with ADP

We were able to move from five different systems and realign staff while gaining numerous efficiencies.
We like the total integration of the Dayforce solution. The real time feature is exactly what we were searching for. Ceridian is constantly upgrading the features. This is a huge advantage with the emerging workforce we see today.
The implementation process is very time consuming, but well worth it in the end. We are still working out some issues that were not set up properly, but gaining ground each day. Communicate constantly with your implementation team to ensure you thoroughly explain your expectations and needs.

It is easy to use, when the function is there. But really, it is so limited. Hopefully, it can allow me to do more.
I use both ADP and Dayforce. There seems no much difference between them. I don’t prefer either. For Dayforce, I like it most is it is straigt forward to use, when the function is there.
I don’t like the software is the function is so limited and restricted. I cannot change direct deposit; cannot change W2 form; even cannot update my personal information like phone number and address. So, the functionality is very basic to me. I need to seek other ways for more functions.

One of our major wins was the consolidation of HRIS, Workforce Management and Payroll under one roof with one employee record. We were able to move Canada, UK and US employees into ONE SYSTEM. Huge win for our users and technical team.
The implementation was complex and our team struggled throughout the phases. We required strong project management resources on the Ceridian side, and that role was not a strength. We went through multiple Ceridian PMs and eventually hired an additional PM for the client side. The implementation team approach to certain functions - specifically entitlement setup - did not align with best practices endorsed by the Ceridian support team. Unfortunately we did not learn this until after go-live. We ended up reworking Entitlements post implementation.

Great HCM platform that allows you to have all of your data in one place. It is cloud based and can handle HR, payroll, benefits and workforce management in a single app, so you can stop using multiple applications and move into Dayforce. Very intuitive and easy to setup

Dayforce HCM is our main source for anything employee-related and it has been a consistent and useful resource for us. It has the information we need and when we need it, and we can trust and depend on them to provide the functionalities we require. Although not as UI/UX friendly as other software platforms such as Workday, it is a relatively cheap platform that allows employees to do what they need to do.
Dayforce HCM is a good HR software program in that it is a cloud-based platform for workforce management and other essential things such as payroll, benefits, and document management. It essentially gets the job done for the common employee and offers enough functionality to be a useful platform.
The overall aesthetic feel and functionality wasn't as smooth and intuitive as the previous HR software our company used, which was Workday. It's not a dealbreaker but it goes a long way to empower the user to feel like they understand and to a large degree have a comfortable control of the app in the first few experiences.

Dayforce caters to our needs. We can now do so much more than we could ever think of doing in our old HRIS system.
During our performance evaluations we had some trouble with the settings not being so customizable as we thought it would be.

The implementation process was great. The consultants were very helpful. We have been live for more than 6 months now, its been a great experience so far.
We had some difficulty to have the carrier feed to get to work, the testing took more time than expected.

I like the fact that I can now access Dayforce from multiple internet applications, including my Mac. The convenience has helped me tremendously with my very busy schedule.
What I like least about Dayforce is it can run slow and reports can take a while. There is no mobile application available for employees, it is view only from a mobile device.

Dayforce HCM is a one stop shop, user friendly and easy to navigate. We were able to streamline our processes and introduce the system to our field staff. Information they would normally tap into corporate office for is now at their finger tips and easy to find and use. The self-service portal has been a big hit with our employees as well. We are now totally paperless.
I don't really have anything that I least like other than support which has been addressed.

Good company overall
Very easy to use with minimal problems. At first there were issues directly after implementation but now little to no issues at all. Just improving as we go along.
implementation team could have been a bit more hands on as far as being more involved in our implementation and learning more about our company's needs.
