Overall, I much prefer ADP Workforce Now than Paylocity.
What I like most is that it is better than Paylocity for staff to utilize in time keeping. I also enjoy that it has an app that is fairly straight forward to use.
What I like least is that this requires training and support. The app is much easier to use than on a desktop, however you can only do so much on the app and do need to use the desktop version. It is confusing to navigate.

We currently do not use Workforce but have been using Paylocity for the last few years due to the cost difference.
Workforce was easy to utilize and train. It allows the employee to track what they need and print specific tax documents.
Certain job functions require an administrator to complete, and corrections sometimes can take a while to update.

we moved from Paylocity to ADP. Implementation was seamless. the product itself has a lot of information at my fingertips, just need to learn where to go to find it
there is a lot to this product. it takes the average person a few weeks to completely understand where to go to get the information you want.

Overall I’ve been pleased with this platform and it’s functionality. The app is a nice “on the go” tool for employees. Similar tools like Paylocity can’t compete to WorkforceNow.
I like that it’s a “one stop shop” for human capital management such as payroll, benefits, HR and talent management, labor and analytics. The self service portal is user friendly and allows employees to easily access their information. It’s also easy to streamline payroll processes which makes our workflow more efficient.
There have been a few instances of vacation accrual not calculating properly so an employee’s time doesn’t carry over. There also seems to be some infrequent issue with the back browser function. Sometimes it doesn’t take the user back one page but instead either to the beginning of whatever process that was started, or it simply cannot move back one page and the user has to start over anyway.

Overall, we were disappointed with ADP and their services/features and ended up using Paylocity, which solved many of our frustrations. ADP seems like it is need of a major upgrade in looks and functionality.
It's nice to have the ability to manage employees and your business all in one place.
Seems archaic, missing a lot of features that other similar services offer. Hard to figure out certain features. Customer service not great.

Wonderful! Love it
I previously had Paylocity and I hated how hard it was to get into it, it makes you change your password every time you use it and won't let you change anything in your account from the app. ADP is so much easier to use and I can do everything I need right in the app, I don't have to keep changing my password every time I log in.
It tells me well after I've been paid that I got paid. It would be nice to be a little faster but it's not a huge concern

As a whole it only makes all steps more time consuming and complicated when doing payroll than it was with previous payroll services
I'm not the administrator although I check all time cards prior to processing payroll. I like the ease of being able to edit time cards, add lines, remove lines and adjust shift times.
What holds me back from giving a higher rating is how frustrating it is to check my employee's time cards. Many front of house employees work multiple positions with different pay rates. When viewing the group time card I'm unable to see what department they are clocked in as. This forces me to bring up the first name on the list, and scroll through each time card individually to make sure they...

Perhaps Paylocity has improved since my agency last used this software for time management, but between ADP and Paylocity, I prefer ADP.
For the most part, this software was easy to use (back when my agency used it).
For the most part it was easy to use, but there were so many issues I would have with my time tracking and time off.

This software has transformed how we work as an HR team. Further, it has made day to day processes easier and put data in the hands of leaders quickly, where in the past both things would have been highly time consuming and often paper based.
Everything? We are using time and attendance, payroll, benefits administration, learning, surveys, applicant tracking, and onboarding. We also use data insights frequently. If I had to pick a favorite right now, it would be learning (the LMS), as we have used that a great deal over the past year of working and training as a remote workforce.
None that I can think of. When we have had an issue, the support team is quickly able to address the issue and we are always seeing system improvements.

This is the best HCM software that I've used compared to ADP, Sage Abra, Paychex, and PlanSource.
The ease of use is great, the software is so user friendly and easy to learn.
There are a couple of functionalities that I wish we had within the system and that the report write tool would be easier to use.

Great idea, but not worth the price or the hassle with the details missed. Switched from ADP due to cost, had issues with Paylocity through onboarding, switched from Paylocity to ADP due to hassle and cost. Tax issues were discovered much later and took over a year to resolve. Received the run around for many months.
Awesome features for employee engagement and employer cheerleading.
The price. Way too expensive for what it is. Onboarding issues. Didn’t retrieve all the information needed and missed some employees. Tax issues. Didn’t file taxes for a quarter. We received invoice with penalty and interest. Had to fight with them to get it paid.

Love it. At prior company, looked at switching to Paylocity, but decision was made to remain on ADP. Super glad when found out new company was using Paylocity. Switching support center with ADP was a hassle, and adding CA was difficult. But with Paylocity adding a new state/location was easy. Adding time and labor tracking took a few months.
the support team assisting a small company is awesome! The ability to add features was easier when compared to alternatives. Employee mobile use for paychecks and for entering time is great.
need to switch from time and labor and had to push over time to HR and PAYROLL is a step and is not as smooth as I was hoping. The gps limitation/Geolocation is hit and miss when trying to limit where an employee can enter time.

Overall it's good.
Product is pretty easy to use. Payroll processing is much easier to use than ADP and Paychex. Mobile app is solid for the most part. Easy to request time off via mobile.
There is almost too much! It makes it difficult to find stuff because there is too much. I wish the mobile app had some other items.

Ease of use for remote managers/departments Reporting: Stock report library is fairly comprehensive and custom report writer works well to fill any specific needs No additional charges for updates such as the ACA tracking and reporting system.
No integrated 401k/retirement module. This requires manual data entry unlike the ADP/MyKplan where everything is linked and managed almost entirely through the core P/R module as far as weekly/biweekly contributions. The onboarding process was bumpy at best. The files needed from ADP (our former P/R processor) to proceed with the conversion were not spelled out as clearly as they should have been. Once we got up and running the experience improved.

Paylocity has enabled our organization to export very complex and detailed GL import files for the payroll journal entries. No other payroll software we looked at (Paychex, ADP, Quickbooks) offered functionality that even came close. Furthermore, they post the charges and refunds to our bank in bulk charges (by payroll) which makes the reconciles much easier and the tying out of the transactions to the payroll Journal Entry quick and easy. In my experience with ADP for example, there were hundreds of transactions that would hit the bank and I would end up calling customer support almost every payroll to determine what the charges were actually for.
Creating custom reports can be, at times, more confusing than I would like. That said, I have successfully created many custom reports and a lot of the difficulty is due to the number of earning, tax, and deduction codes that we have (164+ different types of earning, taxes, and other deductions).

I liked the features of Paylocity was a hybrid of Paychex and ADP together, yet so much simpler to use. The implementation was quick and a seamless process, unlike any other payroll implementation I have ever encountered. They truly build the platforms with you so you have a great understanding of the product.
There isn't much I can say negatively about Paylocity. I truly liked the functionality of the program.

The program does the job for me, but I wish there was a simpler version. Cheaper would be nice, too. Your customer service is excellent, and that means a great deal to me.
Now that I am used to it, I can submit Payroll pretty smoothly.
I needed a simple solution, and Paylocity is more complicated than I hoped. It has so many features I do not need.

My experience with Payroll was on an administrative HR level. I used it for Onboarding, benefit enroll, reporting, changes of employee status and terminations. I would also assist with payroll functions.
I really love that Paylocity has a minimalist and easy to use interface. The learning curve is low compared to other HRIS solutions such as ADP. I think what I liked most about Paylocity was the ease of use. It was a very intuitive software. It met all of our business needs and when we did need help their support was aways able to find a solution that worked well for us.
It doesn't have all the bells and whistles that you need for payroll in a large or enterprise level company but if this isn't an issue Paylocity is still a great option.

The product can utilize GPS location to see where an employee is signing in/out from.

It has been one of the most challenging HRIS payroll system I have used in comparison to other systems on the market.
I like how it integrates different services into one system such as onboarding, database management, etc.
It's not easy to navigate since there are more than one way to accomplish a task so it lends to a lack of consistency in data if someone else is using it differently. Do not like the way new updates are launched without notice or training. The report feature is the most difficult to use than any other HRIS or Payroll system I have used in the past such as Paycom, ADP, Paychex, Compupay, etc.

Implementation was awful and error-filled. Fortunately, the problematic CSR was removed from our account but then I needed to redo some things multiple times. I had to spend about 20 hours per week on nothing but Paylocity issues for about 6-8 weeks. I was furious--my partner wanted to withdraw from our agreement, but by that time I had already invested so much effort that I did not want to give up. Fortunately, all of my other experiences have been positive.
Customer Service is excellent. Payroll is much easier for me now because support staff can do most of the data entry. Of course, they feel it is much more work for them.
Some features and language are hard to figure out. Currently we are having an issue with adding a local tax code and the issue has been dragging on for days...we have not been able to pay this provider.

Most of the features are really helpful! Early this year, we started PTO tracking and employee engagement has been really wonderful! I get feedback from the managers how it is easier now to track their people's time off days and balances.
There is always room for improvement. It would be nice if we can upload videos directly in Community instead of using a link. I know that in the training videos or posts, that you can do that but I don't see that feature in ours.

Our overall experience has been very positive. The implementation process went smoothly and felt like we had a good team at Paylocity helping us get started with the product. The system was able to meet our pretty sophisticated needs and has been a very good investment if you are looking to move into a more user-friendly product.
Some of the best parts of this product is how everything is connected and works well together. There is no disjointed feeling as you move from one part of the software to the next. This makes life as an HR professional, payroll preparer, or general accountant a lot easier. We appreciate being able to place all of our HR processes and especially onboarding into Paylocity and eliminate a lot of busy work behind the scenes.
We wish the workflow software was a little bit further along but we have been told it is a priority in development right now so that is good to hear.
