Pros
BambooHR biggest strength was it's easy of use. I liked their tracking of historical data, user friendly interface and ability to also allow employees to access the information and update it on their own- which reduces the work on my end and is always appreciated.
Cons
The cost was out of our price range, although the value was there it wasn't feasible for our budget.

Pros
This product is really good quality and they don't nickel and dime you for everything thing they have. It is one flat price for everything that they have and that can be great for some companies. Their staff know what they are talking about and the sales people are not very pushy which I really liked.
Cons
Bamboo is on the higher end of the HR software market. Its not the most expensive but its definitely not the cheapest.

I have had BambooHR for 5 weeks. I have been unable to import my employees information into the system, at least 3 times a week the system doesn't recognize my username or password. I have been unable to implement this system due to the fact I can't use it.

It doesn't work. Too many bugs. It takes the customer support team too long to fix basic issues.

We use the Applicant Tracking portion of Bamboo HR. It is easy to add names and information, download resumes, pull reports, and manage our flow of applicants. We have the site linked to our company web site and we point people to apply from there. It's easy to use! For the price, it is definitely a bargain!

At times, we could use more features to track information required by OFCCP. But our company is medium sized and we've found ways to work around those limitations.

BambooHR has been great to work with from the start. Every member of the team has been super responsive and they are constantly expanding services and functionality based on customer feedback. The system is user friendly and the price blew every other HRIS vendor we looked at out of the water. I definitely recommend working with BambooHR for your HRIS needs.

*Amazing customer support. Our current project manager for our implementation has been outstanding. She is extremely timely with communication and feedback.
*Excellent functionality. The power edit tool is amazing and saves so much editing employee profiles. The reports generator is also easily generates effective reports.
*Integrates well with Lever and Good Hire.

So far, my boss and I have not come across any cons. We were using another HRIS system prior to Bamboo, but needed to make the switch because we had so many issues with the previous system. We are extremely happy about making the jump to Bamboo

It is easy to use and fully featured. The price point allows any small business to take advantage of an enterprise grade HR system at a fraction of what more "enterprise" solutions cost.

I'd like to see a little more configurability with the product. Some of the features are a bit take them or leave them, where if there was a little more flexibility, it would meet our specific needs a bit more closely.

If your needs are basic HR administration with limited integration with other software, then Bamboo HR should work great. If you have extensive data integration needs, I would consider other options.

BambooHR is a pretty inexpensive online HR software. The cost of entry is low and it's fairly full featured. It provides all the basic HR administration capabilities.
Cons
The integration options are a bit problematic. The available REST APIs have quite a few gaps and require jumping through hoops to get all the necessary data out.

It's a godsend for the hiring process. And it really helps us centralize where a lot of HR info lives. And being able to set up signature templates for forms and the onboarding/offboarding checklists are fantastic. But it's not the cheapest. Still with it though.

It's so great to have a centralized place to organize all this info. Before we were keeping things in hard copy folder, random folders on our server, etc. This is definitely more organized.
And I love the signature templates and the way you can set up an onboarding and offboarding process. For a small team like mine, you don't do that stuff very often, and now I can just click the "onboarding" button, instead of spending a few days trying to remember everything I need to do.
And OMG, it is a godsend for the hiring process. The way you can collect resumes, review canidates, rate them, leave comments, change their status based on where they are in the process, it's AMAZING. It has saved us HOURS and HOURS of time when hiring.
Cons
The cost is a little steep. And sometimes that hurts when people seem to keep forgetting that it's there for them to reference. And we pay extra for the reviews, which can be great when you use them, but they take so much time that sometimes we skip them.

As a business owner/finance director/HR manager/office administrator, it would take years to learn processes for time off, and business issues. We have been using BambooHR for a year now and have been super happy with it! Our whole team loves it and it makes my job of wearing many hats much easier. Quit wasting your time trying to do it on your own and get BambooHR!!

We've been using Bamboo HR for awhile now. They've been very responsive when we've had any questions about the product or have needed some custom field options for our employee records. Document management could be improved, but it's functional. The job listing/applicant tracking system has been a useful tool; we've received some applicants through the job postings they created for us, and we've been able to share a link to the job listing on Facebook to make it easier for people to apply. We haven't yet tried their performance management module, and do not plan to do so for the additional cost per month per user.

Setup and configuration is simple, and their support team is quick to answer any questions.

I would like to see 2FA (two-factor authentication) as an option for a web-based application that can be used to store HIPAA-compliant employee information, as well as employee social security numbers.

Overall, we've been happy with this ATS and onboarding. It has made our lives smoother for both the employer and employee (candidates too). It is scalable too, from small company to larger company.

The program is reasonably priced, easy to use, visually appealing, and frequently releases new features/updates for all components.

Customer care is harder to contact and usually only via email. Trainings are usually only offered one time/day each week which isn't usually ideal for meeting the needs of many customers.
