The experience that Blackboard gives you is satisfactory since several other platforms, its management system between courses, and the power to upload files or open documents that teachers upload to their respective courses, are not as easy to do as in blackboard, since the software is very friendly for students like us and makes it not cost us work in performing all its functions that it gives us.
Being still a student, I love the ease with which I can move within the interface and change courses because if you have several subjects, you can easily locate them and see the content very easily. Inside the software, you can see practically everything as if it were a classroom since you can hold virtual meetings, see your content/tasks to do, see your final grades, take your final exams, etc. It is a platform that stands out for its excellence in education since the page rarely crashes or presents some difficulties.
It may be difficult at first to navigate through the different menus/pages/courses because the platform does not give us that simply look the first time we see it, as unlike its competitors in the market, this one has a slightly less friendly view. But it is rescued if for example our school/university gives us within Blackboard a small tutorial on the essentials you should know about this software. But honestly, I do not see many cons to Blackboard because it is a platform that gives us what we are looking for and that is why it is one of the top e-learning software.

The mobolebapp is not functional, there is no gamification nor maestries.
I like the advertisements they did in the past, everyone knew how expensive and famous it was.
They did not innovate, they both a lot of little competitors and lately they are selling them because that strategy has lost again more innovative platforms and cheaper.

I am consulting for two institutions - the one a large higher education institution - 45 000+ Blackboard users - self hosted and the other - smaller business school - 1000+ Blackboard users - hosted. I present training and support to the faculty on how to use the LMS. Although one can discover a lot for yourself using the Blackboard help site, there are a few tips and tricks that make life a lot...
Everything is in one space - lots of tools - the sky is really the limit. I also like the Best Practice parts of the help site - it helps you to get ideas of how you can use the tools.
In terms of support from Blackboard, sometimes the person who receives the inquiry do not read properly or English is a second language because we often have to explain again and again before they understand - that is the only frustration I currently have with the support. It is unfortunately a very expensive product since the institutions are not based in the USA and therefore we are subjected to the exchange rate.

Blackboard is a rather intuitive learning platform, packed with a huge amount of features. If you need it for your school, it can be done. There were also a number of training materials and good customer support. It's reliable, which means students and instructors will know when to expect outages and prepare accordingly.
The UI, until recently, was a bit stale and outdated in appearance. Thankfully this has been updated and seems more modernistic now. It is also a bit more expensive than alternatives.

Blackboard is a classic case of good product upgrading too much until you lose what made it great. It has a lot of value added features, so much so that you can no longer find the simple things. They should also focus on getting the bugs out of what is really needed and not focus so much on adding more. Keep it simple, stupid KISS. over all a pretty decent LMS but there are better for less.
Feature Rich - lots of value added functionality Love that there are break out rooms for each session Clickable rubrics - awesome Cons 345/100 characters minimum
Grading system is too granular. if you use this it makes it too easy for a few bad assignments to tank students grades and gives the instructor more work. What do you have against independent content. I create videos using Camtasia and Movavi, but its often a fight get them placed where I'd like or even to get them to run in the first place.

This is our LMS system and we are in general very happy with it.
I have found it easy to use and easy to get used to. I like the value that it brings to the educational experience.
It's not the most modern product. That being said all the tools exist once you get used to it and find them.

I have used BlackBoard Learn for 5 years now, and I can report that it's a tool that I've tolerated with a fair degree of frustration, as opposed to a tool that I'd relish and recommend to others.
BlackBoard Learn is a reliable tool for basic communication, content collection, and assessments. There are convenience factors baked into its framework in the sense that instructors can readily copy and reuse materials from earlier semesters, but other capabilities have far surpassed the benefits of this complacency factor. Also, the price point of BlackBoard Learn is extremely compelling, and they have reliable customer support and service.
Doing anything on BlackBoard Learn requires significantly more clicks and testing than competing products. The design is clunky, and it directly contradicts the instructional delivery of faculty who know what else is out there, as well as the learning-design preferences of Gen-Z students.

We see widespread use of Blackboard Learn at our institution for a variety of purposes, not just for online classes. Even university administrators have found ways to make use of the LMS for content sharing and assessment far beyond course work.
Instructors and Trainers can do almost anything they want with content in Learn. Pretty much the only limits are those imposed by your institution (cost, security, resources, effort).
We find the reporting (especially activity) less useful than it could be. I don't know if that's just a shortfall in design, or if it's a configuration problem in our implementation.

There is little question about the advantages of Blackboard over other lms; however, the cost for using it year after year is a problem that bears consideration prospectively.
I like its many features, from the journal to the discussion board and the integrated gradebook. The discussion board is especially useful, as it can be manipulated to affect teaching strategy and learning outcomes. The gradebook is helpful because its weighting help students to understand where they are at all times in the course.
I do not like that, on occasion, copy and paste are difficult. I am not always happy with the ease of prioritizing items listed in certain aspects of the course.

Good value for money, very convinient, multi task, contemporary, easy to use teaching tool. I love it
Easy to use platform, easy to configure depending the current needs. Rich and attractive interface. Sharing is a piece of cake and motivates the students to interact and comunicate. The price is affordable and it works in any smartphone and tablet, any available device. You are capable to get any tool when you need it. It fosters both independant, self pace learning and collaboration and interaction.
There is an issue for the educatior, when it is about the assignments and assessments. Not so easy to handle. Utilizes some standards that it might not fit to everyone's taste. It need to be updated more often.

Overall it is a good platform to use to learn from your teachers and to receive many documents to help you learn and to upload your assignments to be graded from.
It is a great program to use to contact your teacher and students online. You are able to access announcements your teacher has posted and are able to receive assignment and notes from them with easy access. There are a lot of tools to use in this program. There is also the Best Practice part of the website to use to help you practice the tools to make it easy to use.
Submission is sometimes a bit confusing to use when you want to upload a certain file. It is a expensive product to use when you want to learn with ease. It also requires a lot of steps to learn something and there are sometimes bugs in the program.

The Blackboard Learning Management System (LMS) for Business has the pedigree of a well-established education company behind it but, much like its Education-based software, lacks many of the bells and whistles of its competitors. Unlike its competitors, it lacks a modern interface and is largely unintuitive, if not overly complex to use. While it lacks in overall usability, it does has a number of...
Interoperability, software extensions, and ability to build and scale coursework.
The software is somewhat unintuitive, with a cumbersome and clunky interface. The user interface and user experience is in dire need of a facelift.

We have the Lite version of Blackboard LMS and even with on site training for our teachers the product is not user friendly enough for our teachers to use it. It comes to supporting self-learning which is one of the learning ways many companies are looking for in this age.
I like that the features are easy to use and friendly, also I like that for learners there is a general overview in the dashboard about subjects, tasks assigned, and important information/announcements.
I did not like the price since it is a little high compared with other Learning Management Systems.

It was fine but it needs to be updated. Also it thinks it’s the best but it really isn’t. The company should look at how much they charge and are people really getting what they should for that price tag.
The software is very traditional. It has great capabilities for pulling information out across courses and makes evaluating courses easy.
It is not very user friendly and is sort of clunky. It needs to have easier interfacing for both the student and the teacher. It would be nice if it had flow guides for online courses. It gets very confusing in there.

It is expensive for what it is, but if you learn how to use all its functions, it can be a handy tool in delivering asynchronous classes. It can handle grades and other submissions fairly well.
Blackboard Learn streamlines online learning - it is intuitive for both students and lecturers. It allows for progress tracking and student-created content. It has integrations with Zoom.
The interface could be improved - it can sometimes be too clunky. It might have a steep learning curve for those who are not tech savvy. Formatting can be improved to allow for more creative outputs.

The pros of Blackboard for Business is the price, however, as is commonly said, you get what you pay for. There are many alternatives that are more responsive and current in design. A few dollars more is well worth the money spent
The slow response, the archaic design, the lack of intuitive processes all lead to a frustrating experience with this platform.

It has so many features that new users would never discover for themselves, it takes time to adapt to them. It's not especially easy to use, and it's completely poor on mobile devices. for creators of content is a great tool, because it is almost impossible to get lost when designing and building an educational material, it is so intuitive that a long specific personal training is not necessary.
In intensive or massive uses it is very slow .. the interface for the instructor is not particularly attractive, lUI / UIX is complicated, you have to navigate a lot to reach the desired destinations ... the multilanguage support is very poor, if you do not know speak English, you're dead ... It's a very expensive product .. It has many useless and redundant features that until now I have not found use ..

Great product for when your company doesn't have internal tech support. The company took care of everything for us. Unfortunately there were lots of limits and everything had an extra cost.
· Diverse approaches to problem-solving. · Common language for interaction. · Efficient storage of information · Flexible representation of information. · Iterative approach to problem-solving. · Organized participation.
Expensive. Long wait times for tech support.
