Pros

The ability to navigate is very easy and almost like common sense.

Cons

The ability to create reports through BrightMove would allow our clients to have more ease when creating reports for upper management instead of keeping it in an Excel document as an example.

The limited configuration for users in the dashboard, the ad-hoc reports need to be improved all user-defined fields should be available to create a report.

Brightmove Review

2009-11-04

Brightmove was developed by a recruiter and the workflow allows the user to benefit from the structure but it's not so rigid that it makes using the system more difficult.

Pros

It has four key components (Clients, Contacts, Requirements and Applicants) as well as a dashboard, calendar, and reporting tools.

Cons

System lacks some minor features like user groups, saved searches (advanced), percent signs needed to search, limited fields in email templates, inability to search multiple JO status (open and hot and contingent), and an inability to import contacts from .csv, outlook, etc.

I appreciate the customer service most. The "Chat" team is quick to respond and answer and questions/issues that I have.

Cons

The reporting abilities and I wished that candidate communications were recorded in the activity section of the candidate not just the respective manager.

Pros

We have a chrome extension added to this site (Text Recruit) that allows us to text from Brightmove and stores the conversation history that is super helpful.

Cons

Better yet, I would like that report to have hyperlinks to the candidate's profile or job so I can work off of the report.

I have used a number of recruiting systems this by far is the best. you can track workflow and analyze your performance. many items are customizable. very easy to use easy to input candidates, great search capabilities etc.

Pros

unlimited storage capacity, you can track email, send mass emails, email resumes directly to the system that are parsed by the system checked for duplicate candidates etc, customizable dashboard for individual users. automatic posting of job ads

Best customer service of any SaaS platform I've used for business, most robust ATS for the money.

The comments field is required which means you have to type a character in to save your activity. Only one sales person can be assigned to a job which is difficult when you have 2+ people working on an opportunity.

Pros

Brightmove is intuitive enough that it allows new employees to get up to speed quickly without hours of training and is customizable so that we can use it in a way that meets our needs.

Ability to organize mass amount of recruiting data contained in excel spreadsheet and tabs

Pros

Ability to create my own career portal and get it up and running almost completely by myself (with some guidance from Customer Service).

Cons

Candidate and job profile pages are pretty busy and am unable to remove a lot of the fields I don't need; would like photos to display if candidate's LinkedIn profile is linked

I recommend if there is an issue just making sure to send an email and stay in contact with the help feature so they understand the issue that is causing the problem. Screen shotting the issue in question helps them resolve it much faster.

Brightmove posts positions to Indeed, Simply Hired, Glassdoor and Zip Recruiter. Very easy to look for candidates if someone calls, provides space to write screen notes, can source candidates within data base with key words.

Cons

Not really sure if there is a feature that I do not like.

I like being able to preview the candidate resume, activity and submittals without fully opening the candidate profile

Cons

Hard to source (boolean logic appears backwards in example) System doesn't seem to be set up for corporate recruitment, but for contract/agency recruitment.

BrightMove Makes it Easy!

Very easy to use.. My company migrated from a more expensive ATS and have not looked back

Pros

I like that BrightMove is very affordable for small business to take advantage of, yet does not skimp on the strong performance of Applicant Tracking Systems costing twice as much.

Cons

The only negative I can think of is that the software is so customizable that at times you can get lost in the options and integrations.
