Calamari is a nice, easy to use leave management app. It has a few quirks in the UI that occasionally confuse, but it's easy to figure out and the support team is fast and friendly. Less expensive than other comparable apps with as nice or a nicer UI.

Nice UI, great support, good price. Integrated with Google Apps (Google for Work).

Cons
Occasional confusion about settings or workflow, help desk provided solutions quickly, though, so not a big deal.

This software has streamlined the approval process for time off requests at an affordable cost.

Pros
Leave accounting and other functions are very helpful to a small business.

Cons
The set up is initially a bit complicated. Support was however, very helpful. The time clock function doesn’t have custom features that allows it to calculate overtime according a specified labor laws in the US.

The cloud-based nature of Calamari allows it to play well across multiple devices. After installation and integration leave management started to be invisible. Employee self-service is also a focus with the ability for employees to request vacation and sick time themselves and clock in/clock out.

My overall experience is great. It accomplish what promises and has help us a lot. By the other hand, we are still working in finding solutions with a non user/cost model.

- Price (do not like user/license model because if you are in the limit of users and you have a flexible number of employees it is a pain in the ass to pay more if you are going to have more than 50 only for several months and you want to pay for the whole year subscription). - Lack of customising (if you have very concrete situations, you do not have too much freedom to customize)

The Calamari app saves trees (and lots of time). The local law requires us to maintain formal documentation with regards to employee leave applications. Most companies deal with this on paper. Thanks to Calamari the process becomes paperless, all it takes is just a few clicks. It's simple to add new employees and manage their leave applications, it's easy to set up the chain of acceptance for different departments, and the application also allows me to quickly check and report on the number of days of leave for each team/individual in the company.

Pros
Simple to use, does the job well, affordable.

Cons
Some things could be more intuitive, but I can say that about nearly every app I use.

The application can be very useful for perfectly save everything. Calamari helps to manage staff attendance. Unique login credentials are used and access to the database is limited, therefore it helps to maintain an accurate record of the check in and check outs of the staff on each working day. It also has added features for keeping a track and record of the staff working hours. A further demarcation can be made to specify who was at which duty during which hour of the day. This can then be analyzed to make progress reports. Thus, It is an efficient tool for effective time management of the team.

Cons
It becomes useful for the marketing teams of various departments but for small-scale businesses, the pricing might be a bit too much. The customer care and guidance are very limited.

We need a leave management system and Calamari delivers all that we need, perfect for a small organisation looking for a simple solution for a simple problem. The UI is the most user friendly I have seen among applications of the similar type. Their customer service is impeccable. The pricing is very friendly for small companies as well.

- Easy to use and set up - Single google sign-in so one less password - Great UI and good usability - We need a leave management system and it provides just that, a leave management system. Clean and simple with no other functions that we do not need - Great price for a small company

Cons
- XML needed for historical data entry which might not be everyone's cup of tea - It focus on leave management only (but that is exactly what we need only, so it really depends on what you need)

Transparency, choice between different groups and the approval flows. Easily adding new employees to the system and editing employee data. Easy transfer of data into excel tables. Modeling the types of absences is very easy and transparent. Everyone is equally accessible. We like the quick response of the Calamari Group!! We recommend this software to all types of companies!

Cons
The price could be slightly more optimal, otherwise it is OK. We would like to have a chance to insert collective holidays, to put all employees in the calendar at the same time. However, the Calamari group always helps.

I like most about this software is that it is easy to administer and you can plan and track, answer questions from your employees, and have specific and crucial characteristics that companies need to provide an efficient management system. In addition, it is available in 4 languages English, Spanish, French and Polish.

Cons
The price could be a little more optimal, I would like to have the opportunity to insert collective festivities, to include all the employees in the calendar. However, it is nice to be able to connect through social networks.
