Still Learning
Self Service Functionality. Once implementation is finished and issues resolved, I am going to love it. Ease of finding functions.
Tickets take a long time to be answered, and when we update info, all of the sudden entries we did not do appear. Calculating payroll takes an eternity. I am still not able to Commit as I cannot do Audits. The perils of implementation.

I really like how user friendly Ceridian Dayforce is! And not only that it provides real time tracking which is great because I'm able to view my calculated vacation days before and after scheduling.
The software could improve in regards to making notes that I input easily accessible by my manager.

I will continue using this program as long as I’m a practice manager
This software makes it easy to calculate hours and submit payroll. Imputing schedules with ease. Showing associate availability and pto requests.
I honestly didn’t have much to complain about. I feel like every software can be improved but nothing bad to say about this one

Pros include the customer support and success manager. Pros also include the technical acumen that the system offers.
Dislike the dashboards & My Project. It appears that Ceridian needs to invest a bit more time and money into these features.

Getting to know the system can be overwhelming initially. However, if paired with the right Success Manager the transition can be great.

I have no other software to compare to but Dayforce has been a great tool. HR is continually working to utilize more features and make it easier for both them and the employees.
I love that I can check my earnings statements, request time off, and communicate with my manager in one location.
Password resets are difficult; I am not sure if this is just because of the way we have it setup but it is an arduous process to get someone's password reset when they forget it.

The integration of 5 systems into 1! The real time between the timesheets and payroll. Also, having an environment for testing purposes.
The implementation of this product was very challenging. The Project Manager will need to be 100% focused on implementation as well as the team.

Dayforce has greatly helped our HR team with payroll and benefits.
The time sheets for manager is easy to look over and to approve. PTO is also easy to take and approve.
The biggest issue has been on the accounting side with reconciling payroll with the banking transactions.

The opportunity to customize the modules and forms are amazing in the recruiting feature and make for a one of a kind experience.
It is a forward moving product. They are constantly improving and it is a lot to digest.

We love it, my controller loves it, and my HR manager cannot live without it. She considers it essential software.
Prior to using Dayforce, our staff relied upon our controller to manage their time off, sick days and other HR related issues. Dayforce not only allowed our controller to free up her time, but as promised, put the control back into our employees hands, empowering them to monitor their individual HR related tasks.
While excellent in it's functionality, some users complain about the slow load times. As a SASS based software, this may be a problem with my internet connection at busy times. In reality, this represents a very small problem, and is a very small price to pay for an otherwise excellent program.

The integration of schedule, time, and employee information is genius! All information is at your finger tips to make wise staffing and scheduling decisions.
I find the weekly view as a Manager a bit frustrating when doing staffing and scheduling and would much rather have a customized VIEW for (day, week, month).

Generally speaking, the Dayforce product features a pleasant professional looking user interface the is quite intuitive. The single user interface and single client record allows for less time in the system, and more importantly, the ability to run nearly endless metrics for strategic planning. The system is quite robust and offers a full set of features where most competitors lack a full feature set. When you sign up as a new customer, the customer support, training, and networking with other Dayforce customers is fantastic. Overall, the products sets the bar for industry standard.
Dayforce provides a single user interface and a single client record. Many products have multiple records that impact the flow of data point. The Dayforce single record supports advanced metrics for strategic planning.
There learning of the product is extensive. This is initially a con, however, the learning and networking opportunities are vast.

Dayforce is a great platform for many HR related purposes. You can track/assign employee hours and shifts, monitor and approve time off requests, and calculate payroll. In addition, it allows employees to monitor/track their benefits, retrieve pay sheets, change direct deposit information and more.
Compared to other software that is payroll only, Dayforce is a little clunky. It takes too many clicks to do simple things like adjusting time clocks, approving payroll, and using it as both a team manager AND an employee. Certain features, such as a manager adding a time off request for an employee, requires Silverlight, so we can only do that with Internet Explorer and no other browser.

Overall, DayForce has been a positive experience with not a lot of heavy lifting to get everyone engaged and familiar with its navigation.
Super easy to manage the time away for a large team and UI and features are very easy to use from both an employee and manager profile perspective.
It shuts you out for no clear reason and the user experience isn't ideal across all major browsers we use daily. It would be a game changer if we could add custom messaging targeted to our employees on the home page. It's a wasted opportunity that we could have used to push out important information to our team.

worked hours are logged and kept in a system, removes filling out paperwork for time off requests.
data management of hours work, vacation earned and banked and lieu hours. You are able to request days off on your virtual calendar which is then approved by your manager. Soft copies of your pay stub.
you have to scan in and out this is how they capture your time. sometimes the vacation earned is not up to date. Does not send notifications when a manager approves your time off request. If you make a mistake or change your date of your time off request after it has been submitted, it has to then be approved by your manager again before you can change it, this can be tedious.

I've had a very good experience with Dayforce. The system is robust and has a lot of capabilities that we aren't even utilizing. I love that there are options and it is still very easy to use.
I enter in timesheets for my team on a weekly basis and Dayforce makes it super easy to do. I can see my entire team in one spot and go through and enter all of their hours easily.
From my perspective as a manager, I would prefer an easier way to get to information regarding my team's overall pay and performance. It would be nice to have more reporting and dashboards.

I like that you can have goals and KPIs in there easily accessible for my manager. It is also nice to have more options for what type of leave you need to take
Massive minus: Less functionality in Google Chrome. Works best in Safari, but who uses that as a standard browser?

Easy access to schedule and requests off
I love the fact that they made it so easy to request certain days off and give reasons why, you can even put comments in so that the manager understands what's going on.
Sometimes it takes a while for the system to load up, and I have to refresh often to get it to show me anything new with my request offs.
