Dayforce - Straighforward & Helpful

Automated HR functions such as performance management, payroll management, benefits, employee communications.

Pros

We utilize this system for employee alerts, employee accured time, timesheets, manager approvals, payroll, benefits, requests for time off and performance reviews.

Cons

The timesheet option is a bit complicated. It takes many steps to find your weekly timesheet with the totals added for each week, need to click on the calendar option which is confusing. Not very user friendly during the navigation process.

Great tool. Have used many HR products over the years and this is by far the easiest, and most user friendly tool of the bunch. I would recommend this application to anyone searching for their next HR suite.

I love Dayforce and would highly recommend it to any organization looking for a cloud based Human Capital Management System.

Pros

It's also been great for allowing our employees to record project coding hours for units they have worked on for the purpose of billing our customers for labor costs. Exporting and importing can be set up automatically or done manual for all reporting requirements.

Cons

The only issue I have with Dayforce is the reporting aspect.

Pros

We love the SourceTax and single database approach, and reporting has been very flexible.

Cons

We've had some issues because we didn't start our training until we were already in implementation, and we made a few mistakes that we're stuck with at this point. They frequently release updates, many based on customer suggestions, which is good, but sometimes the new releases (two per year are mandatory) cause unanticipated issues in previously functional areas.

Dayforce has changed HR and Payroll at our organization in a postive way!

Pros

With Dayforce, the employee now requests time away in Dayforce, the supervisor either approves it or denies it, if approved the time is automatically placed on the timecard and the entitlement is deducted, both the supervisor and the employee can see the timecard each and every day and if any questions arise, they are taken care of before running payroll.

Cons

I do think Dayforce can improve upon the Recruiting module.

When choosing Dayforce compared to the competition: Dayforce's user interface blew away the competition. When we reached the final stage of our RFP process, we brought in future end-users to demo the products (without vendor intervention). After giving the end-users time to play with different products, 9 out of 10 chose Dayforce and the top reason was ease of use. While other products demonstrated better competencies in other areas such as analysis/reporting, the area which mattered most to the future users of the products won out. We even had future users showing us the products before the demo was even over.

Employees dislike this over their previous ADP time tracking software. Too difficult to use.

I do believe that it is better for the people who process our payroll, but for us users like me (time clock punchers), it is more difficult than our previous software.

Pros

There are many options and it keeps track of daily time, time off requests, sick days remaining, vacation remaining, etc.

Cons

Some employees, like me, who punch a clock find it difficult to use as far as approving "time", requesting time off. Often takes too long too load before punching in.

Call other customers for reviews. I checked out many software solutions and found this system was the one that checked all the boxes. We found it had everything we wanted (and more) in a software solution and was a lot less expensive than others. The customer service is really what sets them apart. Even if you happen to have any issues throughout implementation, the team ensures your issues are resolved and always strives to exceed your expectations.

We like the freedom to do our own configuration. The interface is very user friendly.

Cons

Initial set up and implementation is a little challenging because when converting, you don't know what you don't know. Some of the hidden features and functionality don't become apparent until you make a mistake and have to seek assistance.

We would like to see the system calculate any retros due or owed from employees. Right now alot of that is being missed since the system is not calculating.
