Support is everything

Really like working with filefish

we have used Firefish for several years now and its a key part of our business. For me the most important part of the product is the support. They are always so patient if I can't work something and always happy to help and always quick to respond.

Excellent, hugely reliable and supportive team

Pros

So many things that tick the MOST button - ease of use, logical thought process, support, engagement, cloud-based, ease of onboarding and batch uploading, security knowing that if my PC crashes, my business doesn't

Cons

Very little ... but I do think I could be using it more effectively if I dedicated a bit more time to exploring more, but it more than meets my needs on a day to day basis

The Firefish platform is excellent and I couldn't see what features another data base could offer that would better it.

Pros

The ease of use when processing candidates through the interview process. The simple way to populate all candidate information directly from an email attachment. The fun updates on special days e.g Christmas/Halloween ha!

Cons

Nothing to note. Reviewing candidate CVs used to be a bit of a pain but an update rectified this where you can now simply hover over the candidate and get a CV preview.

Firefish review November 2022

Firefish is a really user friendly recruitment platform that is easy to learn and navigate. I have already recommended it to several start up recruiters.

Pros

Really easy to navigate and use. Quick and easy integration with Outlook making it very easy to import CV's to the database. Easy to write and upload job adverts. Looks good!

Cons

No FTC Contract job option (only) which can be difficult when advertising externally without tweaking. Difficult to reformat candidate profiles to quickly search on location, rates etc..

Pros

Interface is very easy and new starts to the company can be on-boarded very quickly! If you feel FireFish should make any improvements they have an open community site where ideas are talked through, shared and voted on and regularly updated. Great team and very friendly customer service.

Cons

Generating reports can sometimes be a bit confusing but this may be down to my own understanding rather than what FF can do. It is a powerful product with good analytics.

mainly use system for extracting data and management information

the hierarchy of the data is well thought out

Cons

there is no api, no other way of extracting data from system apart from set exports which arent flexible

Pros

I've used a few terrible recruitment software products over the years and Firefish is definitely not in that camp, the UI is very good, all the features are well labeled and easy to find. It makes recruiting easier and less cumbersome.

Cons

I can't really think of much off the top of my head, it's a great software product.

Easy to use on a daily basis

It saves me time which makes it easier to go about my day, I'm very happy with the product.

Pros

I can call, text and email from the same platform, makes it very efficient compared to opening outlook, another VOIP system etc.Applicants are very easily tracked.

Cons

Formatting is a massive issue when doing CV sends or email sends, so much so that we don't use them and usually hit 'skip email'.It would be good to track how many left messages/voicemails you leave so you get a clearer picture from your KPIs how much contact you are making.

Fantastic sotware, very modern and has helped us a lot with find candidates who we might have forgotten about. Wouldn't think to swap to any other software any time soon!

Pros

This software is the most engaging software I've used, very easy to keep candidates active

Cons

When candidates send updated CV's it would be good if the software could update contact information when the CV's has been transferred - I don't believe Firefish does this but i could be wrong!

The experience so far has been a very positive one. Everyone i have spoken to has been helpful, the training has been good and it has been an efficient process for me from sign up, through traning and now whilst using it.

Pros

It is developed by recruiters, who therefore think like recruiters. The result of this is that it makes sense to a lot of recruiters. It works how you want it to work and how you think is the logical way a recruitment CRM system should work.

Cons

I have only been using it a few weeks so there are still lots it does that I have not utilised yet, however at this stage i dont have any negatives.

Our overall experience with Firefish has been very positive and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Pros

Firefish is easy to use, fast and extremely reliable. Their support team are also excellent - available, responsive and keen to provide the right solutions for you. And all at a very competitive cost in the market. We're a small recruitment business, and moved from a server-based to this, our first cloud-based system. The Firefish team were superb at helping make this transition as smooth as possible. Features I particularly like (which we didn't have on our old - and more expensive - setup): fast CV previews and links to LinkedIn for quick candidate updates; auto updating talent pools; and easy candidate mailshots.

Cons

Firefish provides all the key elements that we need from a system like this. Yes, there are a couple of small things that we'd like to tailor but can't, however, I don't think any system will be a 100% perfect fit (at least not without far greater cost). The team are also great at exploring these points where they arise to find the most effective solution.

Safe pair of hands

I went to Firefish when first setting up my business. They were very helpful on supporting me throughout the onboarding process and continue to be supportive as my business grows The product itself is a dream, easy to use and navigate through its constantly evolving with really good updates. Great for my small business and I'm confident it can support us as we grow

I have used numerous recruitment products over the years and Firefish has to be the best. Ease of use and the ongoing training/support is the best that I have experienced. I recently attended a webinar on searching and picked up loads of new tips! Well worth the investment in time.

Cons

When someone applies for a role it automatically assigns them the salary of the position rather than their salary expectations.

Just the kind of CRM we were looking for

Just having to write content once is just what we were after, saving time to get onto other jobs.

Pros

The ability to load job sepcs/descriptions to the software, which will then also load to google for jobs, our own website as well as other jobs boards and social media. Just what we were after, write the infoamtion once and post everywhere.

Cons

Only keeps track of emails for people in the system, not everyone turns into a customer or client, so do not want to put everyone into the system.

Ease of implementation

Very positive experience. Everyone I have dealt with has rightly been very proud of their software. Nothing has been too much trouble. Cal has even liaised directly with my web designers to ensure a seamless integration. I am very confident that if i did have any problems (which I don't think I do currently) that they would have them resolved super quickly and with a smile on their face

Maybe more integration with linked in for the future. If the software could search linked in and make the connection

I have been using firefish now for almost 2 years, having used a number of different CRM/ATS in the past i like this one. It is very simple to use, has lots of features which I am sure i dont know all yet. But for what I use it for its perfect.

Cons

Nothing not to like with firefish. Its perfect for our business needs

Pros

Frirefish is the most efficiant CRM system I have used in recruitment. The functionalities make your life easier and support less admin, which is always a bonus! The team are quick to respond to queries and I love how you can highlight recommendations to make it better and they listen! Everything all in one place with a papertrail that covers all your tracks. Highly recommended and easy to use.

Cons

I think a consultant visiting the office to provide training would be useful as I don't feel I know everything about the system and may be missing more tricks!

The starring system on the candidate info is a quick and easy way to navigate and to find your best options!

Cons

Often the email function to link emails and candidates may be faulty but there are other ways around it.

Customer support second to none

Pros

The software has an easy to use interface and is simple to use with an extreme amount of power for boolean search to optimise the candidates in relation to the adverts and jobs, allowing you to continually keep in contact with the candidate and understand the journey when speaking to the candidate in the future.

Cons

It would be nice to have Outlook support for the Apple Mac users and more user friendly mobile interface.

One stop overview

A great software which collates all our needs with minimised steps

Pros

This is an easy-to-use software, which allows for the integration from outlook and calendars to ensure a "one-stop overview" for all our company needs. The new feature of being able to customise the terms within each client provides an easy overview of the terms, also this feature links through to new jobs minimise steps and speeds up the process.

Cons

With the preview windows being in PDF format, this can mess with the format of Word documents, so we have added an extra process to convert word documents to PDF to ensure documents view correctly

Great product, great service

I really enjoy using Firefish. If I ever have an issue I get a response from them the same day and their team are very helpful and quick to get to the bottom of it. Would highly recommend!

Pros

Having used Daxtra in my last job, I find Firefish to be far more user friendly and self explanatory.

Cons

The only thing I would mention is that there are some functions that would be better if only management/compliance users could have access to instead of all consultants so we have more control of certain data to help keep our database accurate as possible. Other than that I can't think of anything else!

I enjoy the streamlined and easy-use layout of the platform. It makes it easy to move through each section and complete tasks. Keeping track of client processes every step of the way and informing clients through the click of a button.

The lack of Integration capabilities with other platforms- lack of integration with Job oards
