Pros

We are using the free features of home base and couldn’t not be happier. It is reliable, accessible, and just plain awesome.
I love the ease of making schedules and tracking of hours. I also love the fact of when hiring someone I can send them the invite and send them a schedule right away.
I have LOVED it every step of the way. I tried out lots of other solutions through online systems to local business management organization offers, and this was by far the BEST and MOST AFFORDABLE.

Pros

The good overview, the easy access and very good help and quick responses from the developers for requests of new functions.
Pleasant intuitive UI, intelligent UX design. Responsive support team, lets me keep all team communication in one place for my sanity aaa.
Me and my collegues arent pleased with Soon. Soon gives us more questions then help.

Cons

With applicant messages, there's no way to end the communications/block disqualified applicants so I've had former applicants continually message and harass with no solution from Homebase.
I don’t like surprises and that happens. That feature alone is my only complaint.
The only problem I have is once my drivers download the app it can be difficult logging on the first time.

Cons

Sometimes there is an error, probably something with cookies so when you delete them it is fixed.
As a user, it is frustrating to not have visibility on other users' schedules. This may be an option open to administrators--I don't know).
Absolutely none, if there's something you don't like they will adjust Soon to your preferences.

A Must Have for any business

There is nothing out there that even comes close. Easy to use but packed with very useful features, this product has really helped streamline tracking and scheduling.

Pros

Homebase takes all of the effort out of tracking hours. Saving time is saving money. Simple as that.

Cons

I wish I had found it sooner!

Saves me so much time doing payroll

I am coming from doing payroll manually--this product is so great. Keeps employees accountable. Keeps a record for me. I wish I had started using it sooner. Only had to use customer service once, but they were very patient and helpful.

Pros

Since I have been using Homebase they have upgraded some of the features and I love those fixes.

Can't think of any.

Time clock, ease of use, labor controls.

Pros

Labor tracking, time clock and ease of use. The ability for employees to use the time clock with picture capture is awesome!

Cons

Wish the time clock was available for managers on phone app. I have had some managers and owners that want their employees to report directly to them soon arrival. They don't always have a tablet or iPad with them. So having this on their phone would be easier.

Homebase is great for small business!

We really love using homebase. It is very easy to set up and get started! I love that the schedule is sent out either via text or email to my employees as soon as I publish it. I am able to make changes easily. I also like the fact that my employees can put their availability in, it makes it very easy to see who is available. We are also using the timecard feature. Highly recommend it. Best part about it, is it is FREE! LOVE IT!

The Eatery & More

Before, our business was using paper schedules and there would always be problems when it needed to be changed for whatever reason. Homebase has helped us better communicated with one another. People can see their schedule where ever they are and can talk to team-members whenever needed. It has been a great asset to our business.

Pros

I like that my team all have access to the schedule as soon as it comes out. The ability for them to request days off on the app is amazing because I do not have to remember all the days, it comes up while I'm making the schedule. The ability for my team to clock in and out on their phones makes it easy and efficient and the ability to track where they did so is very reassuring. Everyone on the team is also able to message on it which means everyone can be in contact even without everyone sharing their phone numbers. The ability for the team to see who they are working with and in what positions is a great bonus too.

Cons

I would love to be able to put on the schedule that we are closed on certain days (for holidays or other reasons) just as a reminder for the team. I would also like an option to remove employees without having to terminate them. In cases with students going back to college but working on breaks or families taking maternity leave, they don't need to notifications from Homebase, but they are still planning on continuing to work later on.

Customer service is lacking, and No functionality for multiple store locations

To honest the experience hasn't been great, it feels more like a start up and they haven't worked out all the kinks with the technology, service, and training. They are very nice on the phone i have to give them they still have a long way to go.

Pros

it's easy to use, and the staff can use the app to request time off, and they can chat to one another.

Cons

1) It doesn't connect to your payroll system (even if they say it does) 2)you can't have more than one location and share staff between 2 locations, because the 2 separate schedules don't recognise each other which means when you auto-populate the schedule it double books staff members. (so then the auto-populate feature is useless to you) 3) The support staff are friendly but they ARE NOT very knowledgeable...

Scheduling issues

Two months ago, I would have given this software 5 stars all around. I think the software is easy to use and loved that I was unable to schedule my staff during their approved request off time.

Cons

The last 2 months have been a huge scheduling struggle. First, when my staff requested off, it would only show the amount of hours on the schedule builder, not the actual times I had to go look up the request off times every week for everyone and write them down to make sure I didn't schedule at times they couldn't work.
