This is one of the better HR packages out there. A little bulky on the user side, but decent functionally.
As mentioned, the user experience could be better. The software is a bit timeconsuming (vs an Indeed or CareerBuilder).

I have hired several people through ICIMS but I find it so much easier to use Indeed.
I love what the potential of ICIMS is. There are so many ways of recruiting different positions, linking items together, and collecting names. The ease of emailing applicants is great and the templates are very helpful if you are in a rush.
Whenever new applicants come in, it is very difficult to understand how to even open up the applicants information. I am very computer savvy and have had three training's on this and my team and I are still confused. Then there are so many steps that they need to go through. The initial accept or reject is easy but then you have to email, set up interview , etc while documenting all of this. This all seems great but for someone that has to do many other things than like just hiring the ease of use is not there.
Thank you for providing constructive feedback Aimee and letting me know about this issue. I apologize that our service did not satisfy your expectations. We set a high standard for ourselves and are truly disappointed to hear that standard was not met in your interaction with our business. Your happiness is our number one priority and we¿d love to chat with you to provide a solution for you and your business. Please contact your Customer Success manager so we can find a solution to this. Thank you!

Organizing our resumes, classifying applicants, applicant tracking. Indeed can't scrape sites with less than 3 openings, I don't love the applicant interface.

We have been able to quantify on a week-over-week, and now year-over-year bases key factors such as the number of open positions per region versus the number of applicants, an average number of applicants per job by region, and many other key factors on the regional level. This is important as we now know and have been able to identify why the struggle to hire is greater on one region of the country versus another.
iCIMS provides us with the ability to manage the thousands of applicants we recevied each year for over 500 locations around the country. Our account teams can independently manage the applicants for their open positions, but we have full visibility to all activity and can choose to be as active in the process as necessary on a per-job level.
The majority of our employees are "front line" employees who are working at or close to minimum wage. We need a 1-click solution, and have not been able to do that using iCIMS. More than 70% of our applicants come across Indeed, and we have a real need for a 1-click solution, but that has not been negotiated between the two companies. By the time an applicant is asked create a password, provide information that is already on a resume (phone, address, email) and then start answering job questions, they abandon it. If they could simply click once from Indeed and send it directly to the specific job advertised, it would increase our application rates exponentially. Note this is true only for our front line positions, but again, they make up more than 90% of our job postings.

There are a lot of ATS systems out there. Look for a good one that can grow with your company. ICIMS charges for everv new technology they put out there, social media, website upgrades. They bank on you being captive since it is difficult to migrate to a new system.
ICIMS is a very robust system and has alot of capabilities, add-ons and overall functionality. It is highly configurable and allows you to add custom fields. There is a reporting feature that allows you to select specific report data and save the report for future. Additionally, libraries will store your requisitions, and other position information for easy reference through foldering capabilities. Tracks email communication through your outlook system, to capture both sides of the email conversation. Additionally, they have a lot of pre-recorded training and webinars to get to learn the system.
They didn't have a direct feed through Indeed and our positions were picked up randomly and after several days. Additionally, requisitions are difficult to post, show up with multiple fonts (even after various attempts at editing, which is a poor representation of your company.) ICIMS is very difficult for EEO/AAP reporting. Our standard reports didn't work well for this at all. Customer service...

TMR, Inc. is a government contractor in the Washington, DC metro area providing an assorted of IT services to the federal government. This is TMR's first on line recruiting system and we plan to go live on April 22, 2013. Before then, recruiting documentation was manual and laborious, though administratively consistent. We looked at two other on line systems including iCIMS and made the decision to...

hiring talent for vacant positions
Indeed is super easy to use and we have found the most talented individuals on the platform. It is essential for my business when looking for talent.
The emails get a little annoying but you can adjust the settings for how often you receive them in your account settings.
Hi there, thanks for the taking the time to leave us some feedback! We're glad you're enjoying our site for your hiring needs! If you ever need assistance, feel free to reach out to us at capterra@indeed.com.

Some times hiring new talent for short term work is very difficult, Indeed can really help to find thw right talent in relatively quick time.
not necessarily best for hiring a full time vacancy with the desired traits as multiple profiles are not up to the mark

Indeed has truly helped find the right fit for our organization as we prefer season sales representatives with strong sales backgrounds.
Indeed is a great source to find sales talent. My company employs sales reps who cover the entire southeastern division. While we do retain our employees quite well, but we are growing and need additional talent as such Indeed has been a wonderful source in finding the talent that we need.
The talent that I've gotten as a result of Indeed has been a great fit for our organization, as such I have not experienced any negative association from using Indeed to locate talent.

You can get the right talent from it.
The website is too quick, and you get an application from the applicant within a minute after posting your job advertisement for free.
I need a local candidate & I received the most application is so far from the job location. I think there should be a job location filter or an option for an employer where from you get your applicant.

Accessing talent categories across North America and the UK.
This job board functionality definitely allows access to many job talent categories. Especially strong for volume and corporate roles rather than tech.
Could add more data insights and market dynamics to the offering to help it lift from an advertising platform to a 'so what, and where should I post' enabler. Great p[roduct though.

It is a very useful tool to find talent or job.
I like that most of the biggest enterprises show their vacancies in this job board.
I think Indeed should demand more details from some recruiters. Because sometimes I have found a job offer, but the company name cannot be found, and in my country this is a bit dangerous, because some fake recruiters publish this type of "vacancy" and very often it is a fraud.

Definitely the best tool to use for job searching and talent searching.
Indeed is THE top spot to post new jobs and search for jobs. They make it very user friendly and tailor searchs well.
When applying through Indeed it doesn't seem that that is the best way. It doesn't feel that Indeed transfers the full information to the job in a professional manner.

Great. We wouldn't use anything else to try and find new talent.
The accessibility that employers have to your resume. There is a large number of jobs available here as well.
Overall, a very good experience. There aren't any negative aspects of this program. It's easy to use, efficient, and employers are responsive.

It may work, but man - their customer service was not professional. They tried to call us and we didn't answer (because we were busy), then they started to message us on our website... and we asked them to wait because we were busy and he was being weird and cryptic. Then, they still continued to call and got me on my direct line and it was not anything important. Really unprofessional
Was easy to set up, and a lot of people seem to use it - which is great when you need to hire someone
The customer support was terrible. Also, the talent pool was very limited so we really didn't get any qualified applicants
