ATS that has great value

We first chose this software because it was more competitive and more user friendly than our previous ATS. As the years have past, the customizable features to make it work for any industry and the reporting capability is why we have continued to renew. The Help Desk team is extremely responsive and don't make you feel stupid for asking a question.

Pros

We like the ease of use for job seekers, administrators and Hiring Managers. The customer service in the Help desk is excellent as well.

Cons

The reporting is so robust, it can be daunting to figure it out. Once you get the hang of it, you realize the possibilities are endless.

Pros

A full featured talent management system that meets nearly all of our organizational needs.

Cons

The process to integrate with our standard recruiting tools was timely and expensive compared to others I've seen in the industry.

We have improved time to fill, system analytics, and can produce actionable data to improve our recruitment process.

Pros

It’s extremely configurable and they put out quarterly releases in direct response to customer feedback.

Cons

The Offer product is an additional cost that is quite hefty. Without it, the offer letters through iforms can be a difficult process.

Review on iCIMS Recruit module

Our overall experience with iCIMS is amazing. With the help of iCIMS, we gain a bigger pool of candidates from different sources, we manage well of the applications within the system and we build up a stronger talent pool for our company.

Pros

- expand our reach to wider groups of candidate: iCIMS has partnered with Google job and other free job aggregators, that job posting function helps us to reach more candidates, we do see a significant growth of quality candidate profiles for our job openings. It is very cost effective and it saves so much time on populating our jobs on different portals. - navigate with ease within the platform: it is very easy to pull out different applications and review the resume and cover letter. I like the tabs which are very clear and categorise information in good order - Very good customer support team: Whenever I call the iCIMS customer support team, there is always someone on the phone and solves the problem for us. The customer ambassadors are professional, friendly and knowledgeable.

Cons

Overall, I would say there is no big issue in my user experience when iCIMS. Just two minor things, - When I move the candidate to the next bins in the recruitment workflow, I couldn't find an update button. If I reload the page, it will show up the main dashboard and I have to go back to the particular job profile again. - The cover letter button does show as the same tab of resume, I have to go back to the candidate details tab and find out the cover letter. It will be great if I can see the resume and cover letter on the same tab. Besides, we think that the hiring manager app may need more modification as right now the app doesn't equip with all the functions from a web version.

Robust Tool with a Challenging Interface

We've worked hard on getting our sourcing solidified so we can truly see where our candidates are coming from.

Pros

Incredibly robust - most cases anything is possible and can make the system meet that need. Reporting, while difficult to understand at first, is strong and can report on almost any business need that arises. Love the customization when it comes to recruiter dashboards, what we find important, and messaging. First class customer service; love working with our client success manager to improve our use of the system.

Cons

It seems iCIMS is an ATS built with admins in mind which can make it a bit more confusing for Recruiters, especially those just getting started. It heavily relies on our administrators for some simple things in assisting our recruiting team (especially reports). Our pricing went up drastically when we came around to sign our second contract.

A robust, affordable ATS tool that punches well above its weight

ICIMS has allowed us to automate the full recruitment cycle from requisition through to on-boarding. Its powerful abilities to advertise jobs on various job boards has significantly reduced our overall job advertising spend, in addition to this, we've greatly reduced our dependency on external recruitment agencies as ICIMS job posts has the ability to capture the most "passive" of candidate. The power of social media has everyone looking for better job opportunities.

Pros

We love how flexible it is, it can be molded into whatever recruitment steps/process that your department/company decides on. The customer support is second to none.

Cons

Recent updates only cater to US market, what about the rest of us poor souls scattered all over the globe ?

Great ATS at a Great Value

I came from a Taleo environment, so I thought that iCIMS would have fewer features, but I have been extremely pleased with the feature set that iCIMS provides and the customer service is some of the best in the business. Their representatives are knowledgeable and have always answered my question and explained items in a clear and concise manner. I would highly recommend iCIMS to anyone who is looking for an ATS.

Pros

I like the great customer service to help me with all of my configuration needs. I like that it has all of the capabilities and integrations that are easy to setup and get working. I like the annual review of the system and the helpful advice iCIMS provides to improve the system.

Cons

I don't like that their is no auto progression. Auto progression is extremely helpful around key statuses.

- Exceptional customer service on all levels. - Working with customers to fit their budget. - System configuration flexibility. Lots of configuration tools available to the system admin on the front end. - Decent reporting. - Continues improvement of the product. - Work with customers to improve the product. Yes, you as a customer can influence development team to improve product features. - Customer oriented. "Can - Will do" attitude.

Cons

- Still need to improve reporting capabilities. Even though reporting is easy to use and reports can be fully automated, iCIMS still need to fork on developing tools for data correlation/query builder.

GOOD tool, great support, one big miss on features

Overall a GOOD tool. Great email response time and support and most customization is easy. implementation was a breeze, and setup was smooth. price is good when compared to other tools in the market.

Pros

We're very pleased with the basic product and with the email support. Up time is like 99%; response time is usually solid. Features are good to great in most areas, and are regularly being advanced adn improved. seem to listen to most customer feedback and build on areas of suggestion -- like the major upgrade to knock out quetsions in the most recent built. we use the system for unit and non, interns to executives, local to national field offices, and with one gaping hole, the product works very well.

Cons

the product has no email integration. so, candidate applies. i have a q for candidate. i send him an email out of icims. candidate answers that question? it comes to my email; it does not also come back to icims. as a result, i avhe an intern who spends 10 hours per week copying notes back into candidate profiles. notes aren't there in real time , things get missed or misplaced, etc. it's a very real...

User-friendly customizable ATS at a great price!

Previously implemented the tool 3-4 year ago,and going through a new implementation now with another company. Happy to see the improvements that were made during that time period and excited to see the platform grow with recruiting trends.

Pros

The customization to fit your recruiting needs. From the various modules to user access to dashboard management - iCIMS will tailor to your needs more than any other ATS I've experienced. Great reporting functionality as well.

Cons

iForms can seem a bit outdated to the candidate as far as design goes - however this is optional use.

CAME BACK TO ICIMS

Our HR department used ICIMS for a year and raved about it. Then our company moved to an "all in one" package to connect the functions between billing, payroll, HR and more. During this 2 year period HR simply had a data base of applicants .... not a recruiting tool. We came back to ICIMS specifically for it's ability to match our varied hiring flows, customize requisitions for each facility, hiring manager access, and the ability to capture metrics.

Pros

- Truly customizable - Easy set up process - after a few ATS we knew exactly what we wanted - Clean visuals - Intuitive design - easy for new Hiring Manager to learn - Catches duplicate applicants - Search and reporting options are vast! Not limited to a few canned reports. - Ability to capture hiring expenses - Nice addition of Connect to capture passive applicants - Nice integration with Job Target to push our jobs out to job boards - Responsive Help Desk Team - Multiple learning tools (printed guides, videos, web conferences) - Reasonable price - we had been paying more for less functionality and consistent performance problems.

Cons

NO CONS With this system we have all the basics... plus areas to grow!

I love iCIMS

My overall experience has been good with iCIMS. This is the second company that I have worked with that use iCIMS. The first company, everyone was all in and it made it easier to use all the functions and to take full advantage of the entire product. The second company is coming along because it is small, but as we grow, they will see the value of the entire system.

Pros

The ease of use and the functionality from a recruiter's prespective.

Cons

Making changing can be a daunting exercise.

So happy we switched to iCIMS!

We have loved this system! Our last ATS was very inefficient, so we were unable to track our success. Now, I have full faith that we will be able to not only track our successes and concerns throughout this hiring season, but we will be able to compare this season to future hiring seasons, as well.

Pros

Customization opportunities. We've been able to create all kinds of reports and display them graphically according to our needs, so that we can quickly and easily review the data we need at any given time.

Cons

The only thing I haven't liked so far is that there is not an easy option to integrate employee reference checks into the system that doesn't cost extra. We are a start-up organization and cannot afford many extras, so this is an extra we've had to cut.

LOTS of features, and great customer support!

We do everything from temp staffing and contracting, to long term contract hires, to executive 3rd-party recruiting ... and it handles it all. We've grown to a nationwide mid-size business, and iCIMS has kept pace with us without breaking a sweat!

Pros

Amazing flexibility and customization potential. Very responsive and knowledgeable US-based customer support.

Cons

Not set up out-of-the-box for our kind of operation ... took a while to make it useful, not just usable. Some features we would like to include were cost prohibitive.

They seem to be moving toward working with large companies, with multiple locations. Probably too expensive for most small to medium size businesses

Pros

highly customizable, technical support team always available and knowledgeable; implementation took some time but they are careful to make sure they understand your process and how you want data organized, process flow

Cons

nothing I can think of, sometimes it is so highly customizable that you might be inclined to over-engineer a process or report

Effective candidate management

Pros

This product is reasonably priced and is well worth it. The program is highly customizable and the reporting and auto reminder features are great. Being able to set up position approvals and auto reports to be emailed out are a bonus!

Cons

While most things can be customized, some features cannot be customized. Every now and then, the help desk is not familiar with how to set up the program to meet all of our needs.

I think iCIMS is a great purchase if you are looking to buy an ATS that is built and focused upon being an ATS. Lots of other products in the market for social networking, HRIS, addons...but they all have lost sight of being a best in class recruiting tool.

Pros

Our Project Manager, Karen, did a great job tailoring the process and timeline to my needs, she did a ton of work that I needed help with, and she got us up an running before our expected go live date. Not only did she do a great job, she made me and my department look awesome to the company as a whole. So far I have had zero resumes make it into the system that were not tagged with a source....

Cons

iFORMS have a recurring monthly cost on the onboarding solution. I would use a lot more of them if they were more affordable.

Speeding up candidate communication

Pros

ICIMS heard that communication can be slow with candidates and they made it happen by partnering with TextRecruit. The integration is seamless and so easy to use!

Cons

Overall, iCIMS is a great system but could be more price conscious for small businesses.

Pros

I find it is very easy to disposition candidates, create positions and manage the recruiting cycle.

Cons

It is not that user friendly and a lot of the way it is configured does not make logical sense. We have over 30,000 resumes in the database and it is the last place we go to search for candidates because the searching capabilities are useless and it is very, very time consuming. There are so many features that we do not use because every single one will cost more money each month and it does not seem worth it.

Overall, ICIMS is a good system. I think the best thing about ICIMS is the team, we have had great support from our reps and technical support.

Pros

ICIMS integrates easily with other platforms.

Cons

You have to do a lot on your own in the system (make changes, creating searches, etc.) Also, not as intuitive as it could be.

Great experience low pressure

It was a pain

Pros

Very valuable to have some my ability to customize as an administrator. Not have to request that change be made by someone outside of the organization for every tweak is amazing

Cons

Reporting is not a flexible as Id like to report metrics for my organization the way my management would like to see it. Reporting is not as intuitive as the other aspects of the system.
