Pros

I love the recognition portion of Motivosity. This allows employees to give shout outs and recognition more than just verbally.
I love how quick and easy it is to give a shout out to another colleague. It’s fun to see what everyone is sharing as well.
Motivosity is a great way for me to recognize my direct reports, my peers, and my leaders. It is easy to use and fun.

Pros

I like the ease of use of the software, very user friendly, and best of all it has an app that you can use on your phone should you be away from your desktop computer.
I like the ease at which I can view PTO/Vacation. It is great for accounting for my personal schedule.
The customer service is great and the overall value of the software is fantastic.

Cons

There are little to no parameters as to what is allowed to be commented on and this opened the door to futile and irrelevant comments to be passed.
I dislike not being able to edit my posts, if I make a mistake.
The check-in function is very basic and can lead to misunderstanding if comments are not fully utilized.

Cons

I cannot edit time off requests if I make an error. It is also very difficult to view the calendar with so many people on it.
It is a little confusing if you need to change a request.
I would say the only negative of the website is the calendar it is slightly confusing.

Great tool for quickly giving props to anyone in your company! With a little set up, a great culture of giving recognition can take on a life of its own.

Pros

Easy to give recognition to anyone, including those that you supervise. A great way to give the small spot bonuses that are so effective. Everyone sees the recognition, but not the $. Also, the org chart is easy to use and very helpful!

Cons

APIs are not all built out yet.

A Great Tool to Show Gratitude

I have absolutely loved getting to use this tool in order to extend gratitude to my team. It also makes my day when someone sends me a thank you note, sometimes with a gift. It is a great way to promote team bonding and appreciation, and adding more humanity to our operations. No matter what kind of business you're in, people need to feel appreciated and noticed. Great product! Thank you!

I love that it is so accessible, and that it is so simple to show gratitude in a built-in way with our company.

Cons

I wish that the privacy configurations had customizing capabilities so that personality tests could be private or public.

Great Product!

A lot of our employees are separated by space and time (sales reps being out in the field all week, warehouse crew working at night, etc.), which makes it hard to make people feel like they are all part of one big team instead of in individual departmental silos. Because Motivosity is available any time of day and from anywhere, it has really helped people from across the company connect with each other. Not only do our employees love receiving appreciation from their coworkers, they also get really excited about giving appreciation and reading the appreciations between other coworkers.

Pros

Very userfriendly, and available anytime/anywhere through the mobile app. Love that it has a built-in engagement survey, also really appreciate all the available reports.

Cons

There is nothing I can think of that I would like to change about this software.

Pros

Simple and great price for what you get. Great reporting insights and dashboards built into the rewards portion of the software. Packaged differently then competitors of what you can have access to.

Cons

Definitely less functionality than most. Not a great setup for one off large awards such as presidential awards or initiatives. Really best used for peer to peer.

We built in the business OKR's and the metric that we will be using to measure our analysts on. This will be very handy in our yearly reviews as it give the full transparency on the progress through the year. It encourages healthy conversation with managers and analysts alike.

Pros

Overall, very positive.

Pros

I use it most days and have found it very useful in giving extra incentives very easily and using it as a way to motivate my team and show my appreciation. It is built into my processes with my team and we use it very often. At first I was critical of it but now, especially with COVID, it has really be such a great system to work with and easy to use.

Cons

I was critical that losing the immediate tangible gift cards that we used to give out to our team would be a big negative. However, COVID changed all of that and I am so glad we had this in place when COVID hit.

Motivosity is very easy to use with a small learning curve as the software looks and functions in a similar way to other social media apps. The interface makes it simple to post or respond to other's posts. The addition of monetary rewards is a great way to recognize peer's work. I like that there is a built in way to add a comment with a monetary gift in a couple of clicks.

Cons

I do not like that using the "add a buck" feature to reply to someone else's post and add a monetary gift shows on the reply that a gift was added. I feel that this can cause issues if a gift is left for one person but not another. The original posts do not indicate if money was added or not.

Overall a positive relationship and I love selling the system to new candidates. It does improve our culture a bit. I wish we could find a way to have it make a bigger difference.

Pros

I appreciate that it encourages staff to complement each other. While that happens organically, I do believe this helps encourage more of the peer-to-peer feedback. We all want to know we are doing a great job, and every positive comment is important. It definitely helps our culture stay a bit more positive.

Cons

It is not a perfect system, but it does help. I think the eNPS survey is stupid and it should be replaced by a better system. The questions are awful and the scoring is worse. How is someone who rates your company a 7 or an 8 a passive score? We altered the questions to the Gallup Q12 employee engagement questions. We have seen some very mild favor trading with money. (Employees trading direct money for benefit.) Which we put a stop to. A prevention system built in would be nice.

Thanking Made Easy

Pros

During a hectic day it is easy to forget thanking someone for their amazing work or congratulating them when they reach a milestone. Remote work makes it even harder because you cannot simply walk up to someone and chat. Motivosity and its built-in reminders help to keep track. It allows you to share appreciation or highlight your team’s accomplishments for the entire organization to see. My favorite Motivosity feature, however, is the “Last Thanked By You” list. It shows you exactly which team member you have not thanked in a while, making you think back and ensure that everyone’s contributions are noticed and appreciated.

Cons

The navigation of the Org Chart, while really helpful, takes a little bit to get used to. The history section gives you a good overview, but it would be nice to have filter options.

The concept is great, and we have seen great success in our company. even outside of giving money, just giving people recognition outside of an email is really nice.

Pros

I love recognizing employees and being able to make announcements about great wins by different teams or the company.

Cons

When I pull up a profile's history, giving or receipts, I cannot like or comment, It has to be in the feed. Feature functionality: Create a money request, then submit it for approval. Essentially get rid of buying and expensing out gift cards, and use motivosity as the approval platform to get someone a block of money. This could be done outside of the tool, and have money added to a user. But it...
