LMS system.
Its UI is very similar to facebook. It gives user a sense of familiarity so that working in the system comes naturally. It offers everything a LMS should such has having a gradebook with assignments, virtual quizzes/tests, ext. Users can posts annoucements/discussions and even markup documents.
The documentation markup has two different versions, one is ancient looking and is buggy. Also The API webhooks doesn't post changes when a teacher deletes a category. Lastly the API requests per second is 10 which is very low and frustrating for integrating.

One of the best features of Schoology is the ability to drip-feed content. Teachers can easily lock class pages until previous requirements have been met.
Like every LMS, one of Schoology's flaws is the inability to establish a deeper page/course hierarchy. School --> Courses --> Pages. Still waiting for an LMS that will offer more option (District? --> School --> Dept? --> Courses)

Good aspects of a LMS, and the support operation is great.
Too buggy at times and can be disruptive instead of engaging.

Was an affordable LMS for my school.
The first feature I like from Schoology is that wer were able to incorporate our Student Information System to Schoology. This allowed me to pull information that was already available instead of recreating users. Second, I was able to use a Single Sign On authentication with my users so they could use an existing account instead of having another set of credentials. Third, this has a Facebook feel which is great for users because most of them are already familiar with the facebook layout, which decreased the length of time it took for them to use the product.
Schoology has a lot features available for users to utilize. Unfortunately, a lot of these features take a lot of time to learn properly. Certain environments sometimes do not work properly.

Schoology is a LMS that will enhance the learning taking place in the classroom. Using the LMS has made my students active learners in the classroom by completing assignments, discussions, and assessments inside the program.
The program has a free side and a paid site. The free side does offer a lot of information, but could offer more.

Schoology is a great tool. It is easy to navigate for all ages.
Easy to use and very accessible. A lot of features that other LMS do not have.
I can not think of anything. I guess I would like more things in the outside world to embed in so students don’t have to go to other sites to do work.

Through Schoology it is easy to manage and design coursework for blended and personalized learning. It is designed to integrate other platforms like Google and NearPod. It can be used with students in K through 12.
At this time, I do not see any cons with this LMS platform. I was not on the panel that decided to purchase this LMS, so I cannot comment on the price for quality. I will say that I have heard the Schoology team is very receptive to suggestions for improvement.

While Schoology targets K12 education , I use Schoology as a student at university level , I find it to be very user friendly especially the mobile application were I can swipe to reach the next page
While I like the simplicity of the LMS I think Schoology should work to improve some features like the calendar events.

Schoology has transformed my own teaching and assessment strategies, and I have seen it greatly impact the classrooms of my colleagues. It remains one of my top recommendations for any educators across the educational technology spectrum.
Schoology's greatest asset is its ease of use. When my institution adopted Schoology as the LMS (to replace a previous, more complicated LMS), we saw a 2/3 increase in active users, effectively transforming our classrooms. Schoology excels at communication (to your entire course, co-workers, or individual students) compared to other learning management systems. Additionally, schoology is an LMS visibly built around a learning centered classroom, unlike the obvious content-centered approach favored by prominent, older learning management systems.
Schoology's ease of use does mean some loss of complicated features. At first glance, schoology has a smaller feature set than some LMS's. However, if you are willing to be creative, the platform engages very cleanly with third party tools to accomplish any functionality that may have been lost.

The flexibility and control you have within the LMS along with the ease of use. I like how you are able to determine if you want to use a course or group based on what you are trying to accomplish. Not only is this an LMS it can also be used for clubs or things of that nature.
The app and the web version do not always work the same. They do not sync with your Active Diretory in order to have it so when you add an account to AD it would then sync with Schoology instead of having to then also add an account to schooolgy.

Highly recommend this learning management system. It is the best at this point in time.
This is a great LMS, the best right now in my opinion. The design is great and easy to navigate with little instruction.
I would like a better option than the existing one for real time meeting. At this point there is an option but it has delays and other problems.

Vetted Schoology with the free version for corporate training. Very intuitive setup, clean design, internal course authoring elements, and a central repository for materials.
Not robust enough for the high level corporate solution we were seeking, but very well suited to schools and organizations that need to establish an LMS for students.

Great Product. Highly recommend.
I absolutely loved using Schoology in my classroom. It had ease of use for arranging materials, submitting assignments, and grading them quickly. Probably the best LMS out there.
I had trouble figuring out the Turnitin integration, but that may have been more of a user error on my part.

Overall it was good, I'd say that you can do many things with this LMS so long as you know how to do it.
This LMS is superb, it has many features and you can do a lot of things that can really make your classroom management more efficient. For example, you can take attendance, post your course materials, and even have a good discussion board. Overall, if the lecturer that is using it knows what they're doing, they can really use this application to its full capacity.
There are so many features and you really have to take some time to learn it all.

This is a great product, and is super easy to use for almost anyone, it is lacking in some features but overall great product.
This is the best possible LMS that I have found out there-has several features. Organized folders, quiz giving ability and integration with ExamView, discussions, and district wide setup ability.
It is very spendy if you want to implement it into your school-hard to justify when Google Classroom is free. I wish the integration with google was more seemless, and the lockdown browser option was free for quizzes/tests.

They've been great. I have gotten the opportunity to learn from many users and become a resident expert in my school as well.
This platform has been a savior in the current remote learning context we are in with this extended closure due to COVID 19. They've adjusted their settings, provided support and are responsive to the customer needs.
I wish they would make blind scoring a reality in their platform for written work! This would allow us to eliminate one other platform and it seems like something that this LMS could manage.

This LMS is intuitive and easy to use. The best features include storing and copying information over term after term along with the clean look of assignments and information on the homepage.
Our standards-based grading and report cards in Skyward do not integrate with Schoology. Because of this, we lose some of the functionality of Schoology making assessing and grading the assessments seamless and direct to our gradebook.

I don't know what my classroom would look like without schoology. It has become a part of my classroom and I rely on it as my means of communication, lesson planning, scheduling, testing and assessing, gradebook and so much more.
Using schoology as an LMS allows for quick communication between teachers, parents and students. Even when a child is missing from school, they can stay up to date and now worry about falling behind.
This software is constantly changing and making updates, which is a good thing. Currently, I am not impressed with the teacher analytics of the new assessments tool, but I can gather the information I need through the tests/quizzes.

LMS helps teachers to give out virtual assignments and grade them easily. Export/Imports through software with API make integrating with other SIS systems quick and easy.
Easy to use, simple clean UI, they have an app, many options to import to quickly get started. Also, they have an API that is well documented.
There are annotation aspects for drawing on worksheets, what I do not like is there is two different version. One is really one looking and isn't really intuitive.

What I like best about this LMS is three-fold. First, it is super mobile-friendly, and has an excellent app for all OS's. Second is that Schoology is intuitive. Our students and faculty have no problem learning and navigating the software. And third, the LMS is built for design! Our instructional designers can focus on working the the SMEs to design extraordinary courses and not ahve to work about being HTML experts. What I like best about the vendor is their high level of personalized service.
Its not really a "least," but Schoology was born in the K-12 world and functionality for higher ed is not as strong as it could be. But we have been thrilled with their responsiveness in incorporating our design suggestions.

Schoology has been extremally useful to me as a teacher both during the pandemic and after. I appreciate the Schoology teams constant innovation and dedication to teachers and students. I look forward to using it again next year. Students and parents both find it easy to use and I have had positive results using the platform.
I love that I can login once and be able to access a variety of programs and software. The one user login is awesome! I like that I can send out messages to students either through the messenger feature or by placing an announcement in each class. I also like being able to go directly from one website (for example Newsela) to another (for example Nearpod) with in the platform itself. Set up classes is a breeze, and I appreciate how seamless Schoology has made it for teachers. The training I received from Schoology staff is also very good.
As with any LMS, there is a learning curve, but it ranks as one of the better LMSs in terms of easy of use. I would like to see Zoom integrated directly into each class, as an additional option.

*The LMS is appropriate to use for K-12 students. *It was easy for me to use Schoology to administer quizzes and tests to my fourth grade students. *I also used Schoology for my students to have online discussions, which they greatly enjoyed.
(Warning: The last time I used Schoology was in 2016. I have since switched careers. They may have upgraded features since then.) *The email functionality was terrible. Our school administrator told us we were supposed to use Schoology for all email communication, but none of the teachers did because it was a huge was of time and effort. We stuck with our Gmail account. *Using Schoology to store grades was also a nightmare as well. We had to use to other programs besides Schoology in order to administer our report cards.

Schoology has been an easy way to help keep my classes organized, and students up to date with what we are learning in class. It has also come in handy for those that have had to stay home for whatever reason. I can post assignments, quizzes, and videos. I also like that students can leave me videos. This is helpful when I need to check their fluency, or hear/see them explain a math problem.
Schoology is a nice way to organize classes, and lessons/assignments, that is easily shared with students and families. This LMS also has options to create different types of quizzes, including multiple choice, short answer, and even matching! Another great feature is being able to easily create badges to award students.
Schoology has so many features it can be overwhelming at first, but does get easier with time.

We've used several vendors for our Learning Management System (LMS), and Schoology has the most user-friendly and intuitive interface. As a vendor, they are very responsive to the needs of their users, from teachers to students to parents. The parent communication portion is also much better than other LMS's we've used.
I think the calendar feature needs some updating. This is a relatively minor point and can be worked around, but I would like to see the ability to have a live ics feed imported into the existing calendars in Schoology as many districts or schools already have calendars in place that should be easier to integrate.

Overall happy, and on top of being a great tool, the customer service is amazing!
This is one of many LMS tools we use in my school, however this is my personal favorite. It has dozens of features that make lessons easy and practical and simplifies the lives of teachers. On top of that the basic package is free and anyone can really use it!
I have been fortunate to have no issues with this tool. I haven´t had issues with it nor with the prices.
