For all of our spending management and accounts receivable tasks, we utilize QBO. We compare spreadsheets of income and spending records maintained by cost centers across the company with the activity in QBO. Everyone in the organization can access the spreadsheets to varied degrees, but we restrict access in QBO so that only administrators can monitor and manage income and spending. Without granting administrators access to the bank accounts, which have the strictest access policies, QBO allows them to reconcile bank activities. It's just such a good thing.
Quick Books is now a great option for any small- to medium-sized firm, especially those wishing to automate procedures. I like how well it integrates with the financial tools we use, such as Rippling and Ramp. I'm a CPA, and QBO combines user-friendliness with functionality in a way that works well for me. The facility for reconciling credit card payments and bank accounts is excellent. Also, it's a great idea to provide invoices or receipts to QBO for auto-matching.
The program frequently crashes and has bugs. Support claims that any issues we see will be sent to engineering, yet it seems that these bugs last for a very long period.

Rippling has taken the manual process our of employee management. We are easily able to onboard and let go of employees with a few clicks. Since moving to remote workspace this has provided a smooth process when it originally seemed daunting.
The seamless integration to Quickbooks takes the guess work and human error out of payroll accounting. Transactions are automatically ported over after payroll is issued each period, providing piece of mind and extra time in my day.
We frequently receive late filing notices from states for SUI/STI. This results in additional fees and time wasted trying to identify the error and make the appropriate corrections.

Rippling has been an excellent solution that I would highly recommend.
The fully integrated payroll with our 401k provider and our insurance solutions have made running payroll so much easier than quickbooks. I also really enjoy on the ease of onboarding and off boarding employees as it has saved me a lot of time.
Support has been quick to respond via email but I would love to have a telephone support number for immediate needs.

Great experience!
I appreciate the depth and number of apps available to manage different areas of the business. it has provided everything we need to get started with employee management, from onboarding to payroll to remote IT device management.
Would always love to see more integrations with other business partners in the space (although there are a fair amount already, i.e. microsoft, quickbooks, etc).

So far, my experience has been amazing. sales was great to work with, easy to understand, program is user friendly.
So intuitive, complete and thorough. Easy to set up and use, pricing is very competitive. Integrates with quickbooks and a bunch of other software apps and programs.
I haven't found any yet, but will update this if I do! so far everything is intuitive and easy to set up and use

ABSOLUTE WORST PAYROLL PROVIDER I've ever used. Had no idea my state's attorney general has an open investigation.
The dashboard is user friendly and aesthetically pleasing, but the product itself does not work. Compared to ADP, Paylocity, Quickbooks Payroll, and Paychex... it doesn't offer anything of greater value.
I would give 0 stars if I could. Improperly managed my organization's benefit deductions. Made false promises and fixed nothing. As a result, stuff under-paid their benefits by thousands of dollars. Worked with "customer support" for 6 months without resolution. There is no live support or tech support. If you can somehow get a live person in a chat, they will just send you "help" articles rather than answering your questions. They also withdraw payroll 7-10 days before scheduled pay date and place the payroll money in their own account to collect interest. If you want to change your payroll 5 days before pay date - forget it - your staff will get paid on the following Monday.

Overall, this is the easiest payroll system I have ever used. I especially enjoyed the ease of set up.
After a year of using this product I am very happy with how easy it is to use and process payroll. I love the integration with Quickbooks Online and how it automatically books the journal entries after the payroll is completed.
The navigation on the payroll page annoys me because of how you have to expand the page every time you want to see past payrolls. You cannot keep the page expanded.

From the sales process to leaving Rippling every step of the way was filled with poor service. In addition to the above, an employee's benefits were cut off without prior approval, wage reports filed incorrectly and offshore customer service was contradictory, unaccountable and untrained. When I finally received service on the second level, I was subjected to more sales pitches, my favorite was the PEO person telling me that employees really couldn't reach the HR folks any way but email because, you know, this is a software company. Yep. One that shouldn't be in the payroll and HR business. I have never had such a bad experience running payroll with any company, and this is something I have been doing for my company and client companies for over 25 years.
I liked leaving Rippling the most. I've used Paycom, ADP, QuickBooks payroll, none of whom are known to be easy and I would recommend all of them over this software. I did appreciate the email reminders for payroll, but that was it.
Onboarding. I was treated like a fool who didn't know what a payroll period ending date vs a check date was. The constant pop ups on login. The confusing user interface and poor reports. The horrible customer service.

It tracks PTO and vacation time owed, as well as the Sick time hours of employees.
It doesn’t keep track of the changes that are made until it’s to late. Then the employees suffer as the they end up owing their employers money. Even though changes were made to correct the issue!

Lots of features. I like how easy it is to clock in and out, adjust time and schedule time off.
Some features on the interface can be difficult to navigate. We have it integrated with Guideline and setting up the 401k was somewhat confusing. It is hard to figure out what specific things to invest in.

Rippling helps me track my time and benefits and manage my staff's time as well.
The site design / layout is clean and simple and really easy to find what you need. And functionally, it integrates so many features in one place, which saves a ton of brain space.
I'd love to see more features / integration added. Haven't found any downsides yet.

Availability and time savings.
I like the user friendliness. Anytime I need to submit time off, I can just open my app and do so quickly. It is also makes it easy enrolling into benefits with my current organization. This app has everything I need in one place so I'm not stuck logging on to multiple platforms!
