We use this platform weekly to attract good applicants. We have hired several quality employees from them.

Pros

Easy to set up and track applicants. Better quality of applicants than other recruitment services.

Cons

One con and it really isn't Zip Recruiters fault but seems like some applicants are not serious about employment and you can waste your time trying to get them to respond to you.

Ziprecruiter is great for both employers and job seekers.

Overall, our [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] have been extremely pleased with the ease of use and the quality of candidates and employees we have located using Ziprecruiter.

Pros

We have successfully filled numerous positions since implementing the software into our recruiting process, ranging from simple grounds/maintenance positions to high level sales and administrative positions in a very specific industry.

Cons

We struggled a bit with intial use of the applicant tracking features.

I would use this product again, mainly for lower level, non management employees.

Pros

This was very easy to use, save templates and so on.

Cons

It didn't have the most professional looking interface for applicants and for higher level jobs it just doesn't get the response of LinkedIn

More expensive and not better than an ad on Craiglist

I didn't get better applicants with the more expensive ZipRecruiter than I got with traditional classified ads, such as Craigslist.

Pros

The best feature is being able to emphasize what items you want from an applicant. I also liked that I could login to a single portal and find applicant information, as opposed to having to keep track of ad responses on a spreadsheet.

Cons

Applicants were able to bulk spam their resumes without responding to any of the requirements in the ad.

Zip recruiter is great for contacting job seekers, but about half the time, we get applicants that have no experience in our field - they don't even claim any - and are as baffled as we are as to why we've been matched.

Pros

There is a skills section within the job ad which has a matching technology and this field is a very important part of the process, my recommendation would be to add very specific skill words that match the job title so the algorithm will work in your favor.

You get out of it what you put into it

Ziprecruiter does help you find jobs or employees, but it's hard to say whether it helps you find the RIGHT jobs or employees.

Pros

It effectively matches me with jobs that are relevant to the data in my resume.

Cons

Once the connection has been made, they aren't involved in any further interaction, potentially exposing either party to a lot of wasted time or even fraudulent activity.

There’s never been a time where we didn’t have more than enough applicants to choose and interview from.
