The benefits outweighs the negatives therefore it is a musty have tool in engineering design for projects
I impacted very positively to our business as it helps us to produce designs faster of higher quality
Learning to use the software takes a bit of time to first time user’s as such companies need to invest in training employees

It is a good tool to teach
Even though the software is not easy to use, the interface allows the user to manage the features according of what he needs. Also, it has improved the commands making easy the design task.
The 3D interface consumes the capacity of the graphic memory, so the resources of your hardware has to be high quality.

This is the pinacle of design software. It can do anything you need from it. In fact, it is so advanced in its capabilities that you could not properly utlizes all of its functions. If you need a program for design, this is it.
Large program can weigh heavily on your CPU. Its 3D rendering is not up to par with other programs like vectorworks, but it makes up for that in its 2D design elements. Can require too much knowledge or schooling to effectively use this program fully.

It was a nightmare to use and after signing up I had to look for other alternatives
It had all what i wanted to finish my designs and 2d floor plans including 3d designs and rendering
The software is not easy to use and so confusing. One needs to take lessons which are very expensive to know how to use the software

Its improvements from its earlier versions to the current 32nd release which fixed the small bugs and issues found in the previous versions. PDF and Text capabilities that now allow for pdf importing and SHX recognition tool that allows for the conversion of shx files to text has greatly improved user input into the software. For users working on large drawings, they can now begin a selection window in one part of your drawing and then pan and zoom to another part of the drawing while maintaining the selection.
Very technical and confusing interface that makes the software seem difficult to use and interact with.

I don't have to worry about drawing to scale. It helps me draw to scale
AutoCAD has made visualization and construction designing so much easier. I like the flexibility of Auto CAD the most.
Integration with other softwares on autocad is difficult, it can be hard to set up dimensions when you are just beginning.

I would recommend this software for a friend. I really like it.
I like most the facility of use and how this software is simple and the same time is robust. I make all my Projects in it.
I dislike the system of suport and how is complicate to plot a draw, the system of layers for this isn't efficient.

As part of my PhD I have been using SolidWorks more because we find it easier to use.
I have used AutoCAD (and its competitor SolidWorks) quite extensively as part of my Bachelors and Masters in Mechanical Engineering. It is a great 3D modelling software
The user interface seems to be lacking compared to SolidWorks which has a sleek look.

Strong for 2D CAD schematics and drawings but newer 3D CAD softwares seem to be the better decision in the new breed of engineers.
AutoCAD is a strong 2D design software that is perfect for schematics.
The software just seems ancient. With newer 3D softwares in the market that can also do 2D, AutoCAD just seems like Board drafting to today's engineer.

I like how easy it is to tour through the program and get around on your own. I was able to pick up on the features fairly quickly.
I have to say I didn't find anything bad or hard to use in the program besides me just having toinvest more time into getting better. I highly recommend it..

Experience is great for experienced users.
Autocad is a very advanced platform that takes care of all my engineering needs.
If you havent used a CAD platform before, its very difficult to learn all the different options with AUTOCAD.

This software has an incredible capability of creating lighting effects on your 3d models. It is far more professional looking than some of the other 3d CAD products I've used.
The user interface is somewhat counterintuitive in my opinion. This might be because I was originally trained on other 3d CAD packages though.

The ease and the functionality in this product is great. The features are also pretty good to use them in my daily life as a Civil Engineer working for an organization.
There are still some glitches in the product and some features at the same time needs to be updated to keep them up to date with the present industry standards!

For years that I haven't using this application/software, updates really helps a lot that my work years back is like a piece of cake.
When I was studying, I encounter some difficulty doing basic icons but it is nice to come back and know that all my worries before are all solved.

Overall AutoCad is a good product and I would recommend it to others.
I use AutoCad to model out manufacturing lines and processes. It works well to ensure drawings are accurate and to scale.
If you are not trained on how to use AutoCad it can be daunting to use. It is not an "out of the box" product.

I first learned to use AutoCAD as part of my engineering studies and have used it frequently since. There really is no alternative for serious drafting and modeling work.
It is challenging and even frustrating to learn at first. A lot of trial and error, even if you're learning it as part of a guided course.

AutoCAD helps someone to solve complex problems with minimal effort.
AutoCAD is widely recognised and I can see why, the abundance of feature for a basic user as well as an industry expert makes it the top choice.
Performance improvements can be tweaked, for a snappier experience. The learning curve is steep, but well worth it.

i usually design my equipment to send it to the merchandiser for their understanding of my demands. autocad has made its place in the market for 2D designs
it is very easy to use. the user interface is the best part you do not have to put in a lot of effort to get use to it.
its really good for 2D but for 3D there is not a lot you can do about it

I have been using autocad since 2004 and I must say it is a great tool especially for architects. It allows you to draw your project with exact details and measures.
Since it offers really detailed drawings, it is quite slow to render it. Also, it requires a lot of training to be average user for this program.
