With autocad I learned to design with a computer, I learned to model, I learned CAD, it was my initial school.
Working in AutoCAD is much easier than working on paper. We saved a lot of time and it's much simpler than that. Doing it by hand can be tedious and we also have to consider our prolixity when it comes to doing it on a sheet. As Autodesk is launching new versions, they do not change much with respect to the previous ones so that the user does not have to update to something completely unknown. The...
The main disadvantage is the high cost of the program, since the license costs a few dollars. Knowing how to use the software fully requires a lot of time since there are many functions that are not so well known, and even that they are of little application, since they are very specific. It requires a very powerful computer to work with the latest versions (especially in 3D). At least 2GB of RAM,...

During my professional journey i realized that nothing is possible without drafing for product development and AutoCad is the most affordable and handy tool for that
Most likely activity to do in auto cad is to convert 2d frame to 3D objects with realistic view and rendring is the best thing for product highlights.
Customisable theme will make software more interesting for user who uses it for more time.

Very satisfied with AutoCAD. Love the automation features it offers.
It enables employees and friends to work on the same project concurrently, which in return enhances teamwork and communication. It is practically a limitless digital TD software. It is comparatively simple to keep everything tidy after you get a handle on the most fundamental equipment.
Very high CPU usage. First time users do need some training, need at least some tutorials.

During my experience in urban cadastre, I used this tool, to digitize the plot surveys, in an agile and very efficient way. These surveys have millimeter spatial measurements, which must be maintained when drawing the object that is a geometric solid, that is, it must be closed completely. Sometimes these measurements have been taken in the wrong way in the field and only at the moment of digitizing this drawing is the error checked.
It is a powerful software that has been strengthened over time. It is so dynamic and versatile that it is used by a wide range of professionals, from animators to surveyors and geographers like me. What I like most is its precision in terms of drawing objects with measurements, with very specific area and volume, it stands out over other tools with similar functions. It is the most precise tool I have known so far to make parcel drawings and urban plans efficiently. Very important for the digitization of topographic surveys, very necessary for the management of the cadastre.
It is not an easy-to-use software. You must spend a lot of time studying with tutorials or paid courses to learn how to use it and even then there is no guarantee that you will handle all the functions of Autocad, it depends on the professional area where you are going to be employed.

It has allowed us to deliver high quality products to our customers in a short time. He has made our professions, very competitive people and has energized our work.
I like the almost unlimited options you have to draw. I like the numerous menus of options that it has, as well as its automatic adaptation for each case. The use of a command line to manage the software makes it easier to use and therefore its use. Easily integrates with resources and files from other applications. Its integration with other programs of the autodesk suite, makes its use in the design of engineering projects almost indispensable. Its precision is remarkable. The integration for the use of this software for the handling of the plotters and equipment of exit helps notably in the operation of production.
I do not like that it has limitations to handle more than 600 thousand points. When we have needed to manage several .dwg files of different versions, the software can be fragile, it hangs up or it just comes out. The availability of help on errors is not so good. The network licensing system, for the moment of its activation must be easier to activate in the work stations. The management of vectorized images is not as powerful as it can fail faster if this number of images are larger when they are in the same plane and that is a problem. External references can be more versatile and easier to handle and even for different network locations and protocols.

AutoCAD as a product has been around for a long time. It was the first CAD solution available to the everyday users' market, and it has mostly remained such in the decades that followed. My first CAD experience was AutoCAD - while learning mechanical engineering and drafting on the high school level, AutoCAD was out tool of choice (outside of traditional drafting on paper), and even back then the skills...
AutoCAD is one of the most (if not the most) intuitive CAD suites on the market today. Interfaces are simple, tools and functions are clearly distinguished, and the workspace is the most fluid one I've used. Drafting on AutoCAD is the closest thing to drafting on paper - and that is by design. Beyond ease-of-use, the suite also caters to most industry formats, with little to no adjustments needing to be made by the user - other formats are thoroughly understood by the software, and it makes the necessary changes to imported files, saving countless hours of adjusting or re-drafting.
There is very little one could complain about when it comes to AutoCAD. As the operator of small enterprises, though, AutoCAD might seem expensive. Although I can argue it is well worth the price, making the suite more financially accessible would reinforce its position as the world-leader in CAD.

I briefly utilized AutoCAD some time recently utilizing Revit for all of my time at college. I at that point exchanged to AutoCAD when I begun my internship, as they did not have Revit. It truly fair takes a parcel more time to do the same things. For case, I was entrusted with drawing up a few insides rises, which I may do in Revit by essentially making a area.
Ease of utilize. Permits you to keep the interface the same all through the a long time whereas still including highlights. I have been utilizing AutoCAD for over 20 a long time. It's the as it were framework I would utilize. AutoCAD is exceptionally flexible, and I truly just like the user's capacity to set up their possess default environment that can be utilized for modern ventures going forward.
AutoCAD is troublesome to memorize particularly for outright apprentices. too, when working on overwhelming records, it can be troublesome to form changes on the record without the chance of your framework slacking or indeed smashing. the client interface is baffling but, i trust they audit it and make it more curiously for clients.

I work well with autocad, in my older personal office it didn't adapt with revit, so autocad dominates to make architecture and engineering projects.the benefits are visible in the speed delivery of architecture and engineering projects and in their further editions.
It is not an easy to use software, you need some program lessoning. How i teached 4 years of autocad at faculty, i well know the students' difficulties, in particular fitting the mouse and zooming in needs for good coordination by motora.and then decorating the controls.integration was gradual in my work, but today everyone works well with the software.I like to be able to type the controls which makes the work a lot easier.
What i don't like about autocad is the new desing, i use the classic, because i work with the keyboard commands then those giant bars are in the way and steal space on the notebook and computer screen. Controls difficult to use no, but as it is a heavy program sometimes with topographical plans that are giant, the program is slow, even with a good plate a good avell computer.

AutoCAD is great for drawing, draughting, or just any technical drawing, whether that be in 2D or 3D. The software is very versatile in its capabilities. From the first time I opened the software, I understood why it is said to be compatible with various industries that use CAD. I use AutoCAD for any and everything in my daily practice, from very simple concept drawings to more complicated and intricate details. AutoCAD also integrates seamlessly with other software. With AutoCAD as the industry standard, one can only benefit from knowing and having this software.
For someone who does not have a basic understanding or experience with CAD software, there is a very steep learning curve. As I don't particularly benefit from the yearly updates and have not been impacted by all the software changes in the last 5 years, not being able to purchase the software once-off is a big downside. As a small business in a developing country, the annual subscription really affects my business greatly.

It continues to impress, year after year. I wouldn't use any other software for drawing. They have been doing it so long, they know how to do it!
Ease of use. Allows you to keep the interface the same throughout the years while still adding features. I have been using AutoCAD for over 20 years. It's the only system I would use.
The new subscription based versions, are pricy in my opinion. Not like the old maintenance versions of past years. The software has only gotten better year after year. But the way you buy/pay, I'm not a fan.

Is a worldwide know and use program. In the mining companies is very common. Im very satistified.
The newers version and the integration with the different software. The use of .dxf to work with different external autocad programs that are used in mining, for example the most common vulcan. Also for big project Naviswork represent a light presentation for clients in order to see and manage or the different discipline in the engineering .
Despite integration, there are limitations in big project and different disciplines. Also, working with old versions that work under bad standards generates many errors in the CAD, and sometimes it is difficult to eliminate them (lines, references, etc.). One other thing that is difficult to use around our global office and clients is that in order to obtain the potencial of the software everyone have to work with the same standard. And in some project we are using not all the tools that autocad offers. The price for some clients is very expensive and they only use viewers.

AutoCAD has successfully created an easy and straightforward way to eliminate the need for tedious hand drafting. It's a well maintained program that is used almost universally world wide, allowing for quick and easy transfer of skills, people and products globally.
Most features in AutoCAD are pretty self explanatory with helpful hints and tip built in. For the average user, most of the base features are easy to use with minimal set up. But there is a high level of depth that can be utilized by people with a further understanding of the software.
Some of the set up steps, and options can be a bit much for the more technologically disinclined people. Essentially requires the need to have someone on hand that is well versed in how to work the inner components of AutoCAD, to really get the most out of the software.

I used AutoCAD spacial design, fitting test equipment into set facilities space. I also used it to design electrical test boxes for automotive plants. This program allowed me to keep very specific design details on record and for others to recreate these test boxes. I used it to design test fixtures by creating print for the machine shop to manufacture all our test equipment fixtures to environmental, mechanical and statistical testing.
Ease of use is what drew me to auto cad in the first place. I had limited training and I was able to sit down and play with it and the menu's and teach myself to design and verify fit and function. I used it for everything from selection and placement of office furniture to machine placement optimization. I designed test fixtures and prints for electrical boxes. There really was no end to Auto CAD uses.
3d aspects were hard to understand for me although I'm sure with the proper training this wouldn't have been the case. Most CAD users have college courses under their belts. Sometimes my design would get off axis and I'd have a very difficult time understanding what happened and how to set it back on the correct plane. Use of layers was challenging but once understood it's really helpful in breaking down your designs.

While I was at the university, AutoCAD became a very important tool in my university career and the main one for the design and engineering of certain plans or drawings that were required of me. Although I started with this tool drawing my first lines until creating complex 3D models, this software accompanied me in each step and helped me to make everything easier. After university, autocad became one of the tools I use the most in my work, since I am required to design architectural plans, soil studies and even engineering diagrams. In short, AutoCAD is without a doubt a very important tool for me, which I use most of the time.
What I have liked most about AutoCAD throughout my university and professional career is that it allows me to create precise and detailed drawings with ease for both designs and more sophisticated construction jobs, something else that I have to highlight is its wide range of commands and options that streamlined my work, while the non-destructive editing feature gave me flexibility on college projects and construction jobs where I work.
The negative points to highlight is that it is an application that requires having a computer with good features because it requires a lot to work correctly, another negative point that it has is that the software can become slow and cumbersome in very complex or very large projects. , which affected the flow of my work.

In my personal experience I have never had a problem with AutoCAD, it has always met the requirements I look for in it.
This software is the friendliest but at the same time complete that can exist for the design sector, its interface is user friendly which is not difficult to learn as in other CAD software.
Although I mentioned that it is complete, in a sense it may have more functions than other software.

In General, it's a fantastic program that does drafting and design work really well. It has a host of tools and calculators that can help you with design and development work. When you know how to use the program, it's a really powerful tool that will allow you to develop professional designs and work products for clients.
It's a great program for drafting and design. When it comes to incorporating survey data, drone imagery, etc., it's hard to beat. It's really an industry standard for a reason, and is incredibly powerful when it comes to land development and other civil and environmental engineering design work. Once you get the hang of it and realize that there are many different approaches to the same solution, things get really interesting. There's also a robust online community for answering questions. Because it's an industry standard, there are tons of online tutorials and walkthroughs for a whole host of hang ups one might have.
The program can crash when designs get very complicated, and sometimes, if there's a bug in a drawing, it can be hard to remove or back out and simplify. I've had to completely start from scratch more than a handful of times which can be frustrating. Once you find out the things that tend to bog it down, there's work arounds, and ways to make it more resilient. Another drawback is that it's fairly expensive. Not a huge issue if you are working for a company, but if you'd like to use it yourself, or are a small business, it's not an insignificant expense.

What I like most about using AutoCAD is its precision and versatility in creating detailed designs and technical drawings. The software’s powerful tools and customizable features make it easy to bring complex ideas to life, whether I’m working on architectural plans or intricate interior layouts. Its ability to handle both 2D and 3D designs is a major advantage for any project.
What I like least about AutoCAD is its steep learning curve and the complexity of its interface, which can be overwhelming for new users. Additionally, the software can be quite resource-intensive, requiring a powerful computer to run smoothly and efficiently.

AutoCAD software is a great tool for educational institutions. We have a 3000 users network floating license which is very effectively used by our students to draw drawings in CAD which eliminates the human error associated with manual drafting.
AutoCAD software by Autodesk is the best 2D CAD software in the market. This software can be learned quickly using the online documentation / manual provided by Autodesk.Students who have learnt this software get good placement offers.Every year Autodesk releases the next version of the software with lot of product enhancements.
Every year qualified educational institutions have to renew their free access to their software and IT administrators have to update generate and then update their license servers. This results in additional load to the IT administrators managing the license servers. It will be better if 3-year license is provided instead of yearly licenses.Product technical support can be improved for educational institutions.More features can be added for 3D design similar to 2D design.
