The trial demo was good, but what sold it to me was all the good reviews I read on various sites online. I think there was one really bad review due to technical problems, which didn't put me off. I have read books about Nordstrom's quality and in my own personal experience, BrillantDirectories is my Nordstrom's. It's weird, life kinda has a way of conditioning us to feel let down with people's promises.....so when BD came along in my life....the experience was a bit 'strange' but I mean that in a very, very good way. I don't like it. I like working with scripts that can be manipulated by the source code and this is not an option with Brilliant Directories.
The look is nice but thats where it all stops.
The software is very complex, it runs slow and is impossible to customise outside of the preset options.

I'm a huge fan of organizations that have great teams. I am just now diving into the software and thus far it's been pretty easy to use. More importantly, the team has been great to work with. My experience with BD has been very positive so far, such supportive guys always on hand to support with site setup. I am a web developer and using BD has saved so many hours of development and planning.

So they wanted to make the software easy to use for your average user, but still make it customizable and expandable for developers :)

I like how integrated Brilliant Directories is. I incorporated my business several years ago with a directory in mind, but other solutions were a cumbersome mash-up of plugins that were too costly or slow. The all-in-one approach is immensely helpful.
Nothing much to dislike. It will take you some time to learn how to implement but that is just business and I enjoy this aspect actually.

Brilliant Directories, Brilliant Directories functionality provides the owner an extremely easy tool for website design. Some of the tools available include Webinars, 100’s of online videos, online documentation, a very professional support staff and a lifetime website. Only one day in so hard to say yet. I'm not sure what else o can say. Information about the product was easily accessible on line and info from sales was direct and helpful.
Still feeling our way around so nothing has come to mind. The introduction from sales was a little short. Could have taken more time to show us some cool features and provide any hot tips.

Building a directory wasn't in my mind until I discovered Brilliant Directories. Brilliant Directories is this kind of product that looks so professional and easy to install and build, it immediately made me think of creative ideas toward building a directory. It has opened my eyes to see the opportunities.
Brilliant Directories is a very professional-looking online directory. It is easy to build for any online business owner. It includes varying levels of memberships and ads. It includes many options for payment processing with international currencies. I enjoy the excellent, helpful support and the video tutorials and documentation. I'm thankful to the developers for making it so convenient and easy to use.
I hope the developers will consider adding more direct integrations

Ready out of the box...very intuitive to use, and just looks good. Lots of features, and the tutorials make on boarding a breeze.
There are many ad-on features that are essential to the system. Would be nice to know up front that you need some of the features to make the system work. Ex: Your system will come with no categories, no business names such as barber, doctor, etc you will have to purchase. Every system will need these details.

Brilliant Directories does everything we need. We were ready to develop our own directory and it would have cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, taken at least two years to get it in a presentable state, and it would only do a fraction of what Brilliant Directories does. If you are looking for a directory, do not reinvent the wheel, the solution is already here and it's great.
The software is VERY flexible. You can get it working very well without consultation, but I do recommend talking to a trusted advisor who can help you get it dialed in. My overall experience with Brilliant Directories has been excellent. The team is very responsive, and the community is very helpful and supportive.
I love the tutorials! I didn't feel link the learning curve was to step. I didn't get overwhelmed by the tech.
I would have liked a more drag and drop, as I am a WordPress user, however working with the widgets is much like Gutenberg editor.

I have spent the past month or so trying to get a business directory site running on another host, to no avail. I was extremely, extremely frustrated... Brilliant Directories really saved me. I was about to turn away from this business venture, but after giving it this one last shot, I am happy I stood my ground! I have limited programming skills, and yet I was able to go LIVE in literally a couple of hours! The training is TOP NOTCH, as well as the service, usability, and everything associated with Brilliant Directories! I've wanted to set up a membership website for a local photography industry I'm in. Doing this on WordPress would have been a nightmare for me. So far Brilliant Directories seems like the perfect solution.
Certain design elements seem a bit basic, but they should get the job done. It might just be my lack of experience with the product.

However support is lacking. I am trying to integrate an affiliate software which requires the placement of two snippets of code into my directory. When I asked support where that could be found or if they could place it and was told it is not in their area and I should contact a developer, I was taken aback. The company that developed the software I am paying $150 a month for can't help me place two simple codes so I can get going with my site?!!? Makes me think twice about ever referring the service. Maybe I made a mistake not going with another software! Another thing, if you are going to ask for a review several times as the project moves along, don't come back with a message that says I have to use a different email address because this one already exists.
