Ease to use, clear overview, possibilities to make adaptations, building your own database

I had a very good experience, at this moment I cannot think of any improvements.

Easy to navigate & very user friendly.

Nothing, I have never had any difficulties when using castor.

- easy to master - no unnecessary fuss - easy to manage - good value for money - fast browsing experience

- the layout is fixed - for advanced users, there is no accessibility to more powerfull programming to manipulate the platform. - the image/file upload feature is very restricted in file size

Manual clearing of data causing some lag

The ability to easily build/test/change your own databases is one of the best things about this software. Their technical support library and staff also make it very easy to learn how the system works.

Being simpler software means that Castor doesn't have all the bells and whistles that might be available in far more expensive software packages but this is more than made up for by its cost effectiveness and the ability for users to run their own databases.

It is very user friendly and self explanatory.

Fortunately, I do not have any complaints at this time.

This is a very user-friendly system. I like that it shows a percentage of how much data has been entered. The green, yellow and red system for queries is great too!

I have only used this system for 2 studies at my site. I would like to see more sponsors use this system as well.

crashes frequently, sometimes it does not save the data entries

It is fast and the lay-out and structure of the site works well. It is also easy to add notes and commentary if necessary

It isn't super intuitive. I made a few mistakes the first time I used it. But you learn from your mistakes and afterwards its easy to use.

customer service, the user end, easy exporting options

building the CRF, copying steps takes long and isn't intuitive. you can't drug / duplicate as easily as other softwares. repeated measures are uncomfortable to access in the record and unless i export it , i can't easily see all the measures with visit numbers and dates. in general i think CRF building is a bit to technical and maybe made more for a computer guy than a CRO company.

Impressive flexibility, ability customize forms with (almost) any imaginable feature/data flow.

Creating the forms is time intensive, and pages take longer than desired to load.

As a user it is really user friendly, basically no training is needed to understand how it works

The exports might be a bit better defined. Currently you can export per record selected on 1 page or variable. The export for combined variables is not really easy (copy/paste?).

Performance is being constantly improved and also affected, for instance, by using many calculation fields in your forms. Easy to use, a lot of options for my academic research

Had some few problems with navigating, however, after a few minutes, you get to know and its easy to use

Data collection and exporting works really well and it is quite easy to use.

Some features that could be relatively easily implemented are (still) missing. For example making Grids required fields, validating data on the basis of variables, more coding options.

I love how Castor works very intuitively, which makes it easy to build and customize. There are many options available to make it your own environment and enough support to make sure you use it to the fullest extent.

It would like to be able to send an email (without questionnaire) to all participants that are entered in the trial.

Easy to navigate around the database and very clear if there are any data queries.

can timeout of the database and need to log back in

The software works simple and intuitive and has a nice interface.

At the moment nothing specifically that I don't like for my purpose of use.

I needed Castor for analysis of only small populations. However, my colleague used Castor extensively. What was the major pro is that it is easy to use. And self-guided. It was easy to set up forms.

I mainly worked in experimental medicine in the labarotory. There was no integration with our results from experimental studies. Like cell culture data, mRNA analysis, R2 micro array analysis. I think it is possible to use castor to integrate this features, but we just did not implement it.
