DTAILS overview

DTAILS is a web-based lumber inventory inventory control solution designed to meet the needs of all lumber-based companies, including sawmills and resellers, who deal in milled green lumber, kiln dried lumber, or finished wood. Users can track inventory from the tree to the final product across multiple companies.

DTAILS is composed of several modules for managing sales, purchasing, shipping, and work orders as well as the company’s directory and contacts. The system allows for dynamic categorization by applying attributes such as dimensions, species, finish, and more based on product type. Aliasing products is also supported for situations in which a product is marketed under different brands.

DTAILS supports integration with wireless handheld devices for scanning products on the production line and updating inventory levels in real time. The customizable dashboard shows users a summary of information including reminders of scheduled meeting or phone calls for the day, sales orders which are due, items with low inventory levels, and more. DTAILS also offers instant detailed reports showing present information, historical data, and future forecasts. The intelligent shipping system supports both in-house and external shipping. Users can also keep track of product progress from initial procurement to final consumption, sale, or scrapping.
