I like that you can use online self-help training videos. Navigation from page to page is quick and easy. You can put security on almost everything. The help files are very well done. The IQMS community connects you to other real users for additional help and ideas for the best way to utilize the system. Customer support has always been friendly, easy to work with, and knowledgeable. I am excited for our next step which is moving to the cloud.
Set up is very extensive. Yearly maintenance is expensive. Some features/functions are global settings and not all e-plants operate exactly the same.

I would have to say overall; whoever is looking into the purchase of IQMS for their organization needs to know the flow of your organization or involve the proper personnel and take the time up front to enter the correct data, We have had great success with IQMS. Everyone should have it !
If all of your info is loaded properly on the front end; real time is a great tool to monitor effeciency on the shop floor. With the color coding for cycle effeciency it allows our supervisors to see at a glance, who is not meeting the standards that we have set in place for that job.
I would have to say that I personally do not have anything bad to say about Real Time and the flow on the shop floor.

We are in the implementation phase with IQMS. The beginning has been slow as many decisions for process flow and paperless reporting to drive the system. We are finally starting to formulate implementation plans and matrixes.
This option has solutions from Quote and Project Management to ERP and Quality. Most ERP solutions in Automotive can only provide parts of the solutions you are looking for. In most cases it is also difficult to also tie in time and attendance and production floor status dashboards. We selected IQMS because it could provide all of the solutions in one implementation. It also has a robust Preventative Maintenance solution tied to production reporting. The purchase order module is robust as it handles both inventory from MRP and MRO requirements.
The Asset Management module does not meet GAAP requirements for auditing but it can assist the Preventative Maintenance group with purchasing history.

Highly recommend! I could not imagine using EIQ without it unless a job shop or a very simple operation. Even then, bar coding would still be a huge benefit.
Better inventory management. I cannot imagine using EIQ without the bar code scanning and Whse management system. We also use the bar codes to verify components to a BOM based upon where that BOM is scheduled (Work Center). This ensures material handlers are putting the correct components at the work center. We now force many of our employees to only allow real time scan to inventory. This controls that inventory created was actually running and back flushes components to the correct BOM. The ability to see the shop floor performance in one screen is a plus. We have our extrusion and injection operations wired for signaled real time. Other work cells are non-signaled real time
Adding more control does take more effort, especially during changeovers. Even though a component might be the same for the next setup, you cannot just leave it on the work center and begin using it on the next job. You do not physically have to move it, must you must manage it. This is only the case where we do scan to WO verification.

IQMS is an excellent system for manufacturers of plastic products. We investigated a number of different ERP systems before deciding on IQMS and couldn't be happier with the results.
IQMS is an outstanding ERP system for plastics manufacturers. IQMS replaced multiple independent systems in our organization including MRP, real time, reporting, asset management, preventative maintenance, and more. With a limited IT staff, it was very difficult to manage and maintain our systems until replacing it all with IQMS. Our Controller is able easily to provide up to date financials...
- Global eplant settings do not work well when two eplants are in very different industries. - The Outsource Central module may be the only module that has not met our expectations, particularly regarding how inventory transactions are handled. - Not perfect, but what software is?

For the Plastics Industry, a great buy, why go anywhere else! For others, closely examine your manufacturing process before saying no to IQMS, for the benefits may increase your shop floor visibililty.
IQMS shows it's strength in the plastics industry, but could easily be incorporated in other manufacturing industries. After a visit to the corporate headquarters in California and meeting with some of the staff, I witnessed a group of people committed to making and supoporting the best product available on the market today for the money. I look forward to what the company has planned to demonstrate in Vegas this year. A high point in my opinion is the fever pace that the software company is attacking upgrades and any issues seen by end users.
The cons I see are the lack of functionality inside certain forms or modules. Although the software is feature rich, it doesn't carry over or hold consistancy from module to module. I have seen some improvement on this in the latest SP1 release, but more could be done to bridge continuity. (for which I see work being done)

As a mid-size business with global locations, this ERP was really a lifeline. The price tags on the big ERPs are untenable and often don't support the unique needs of a lean manufacturer. It's not the prettiest system out there, but I appreciate the flexibility and the fact that IQMS is dedicated to improving the software.
The system is very flexible to many processes and industry requirements. The company really uses user feedback to help drive software enhancements and support fixes. You get a lot of functionality for very low cost. The implementation process was well managed and we were able to go-live ahead of schedule and under budget. Not many ERP implementations can boast that.
There are sometimes too many available options and ways to use the system. It can drive you to implement a process in one module that inadvertently limits your usage of other modules. Navigating how the system works as a whole is often unclear and can be frustrating - not knowing that checking this box over here affects something over there that you were not even thinking about. The last few years of growth have been painful from a tech support standpoint, as they can't keep up with hiring and training and you often have to train the support person how the system works before you can even discuss a bug or issue you are facing.

-IQMS has become (since DOS) the easiest software to learn & teach that I have ever used. -IQ offers, in one software package, many solutions so we are able to have all of our data in one place.
-Being able to see the performance at a plant level as well as awhole. With each plant being a different type (short run, high volume, contract, silicone, etc) of manufacturer, that is very important. -IQ Alert and Crystal Reports helps me to monitor activity and find when issues are occuring at any level and any plant. -IQ listens to customer's feedback and improves it's software with the dynamic industry we are in.
-I would like to see an improvement in Secondary Operations planning and reporting. (Non Real Time) -Quoting for multi-level BOM's. Being able to see where the costs are associated at each level in one place is important to us.

Overall IQMS has given us greater visibility regarding how our business is functioning in real time.
Real Time monitoring allows constant focus on what is going on with machines on the shop floor. Inventory visibility at each step of our process has allowed us to make better scheduling decisions. Barcode scanning has allowed us to improve our lot tracking back to the raw material just by know the serial number.
Can be overwhelming for new users. Setting up certain modules can be confusing and time consuming.

At Monoflo International, Inc, we searched for a replacement to our aging and static ERP system. We wanted something scalable, powerful, dynamic and productive. We were looking for a solid solution backed by industry standard components that would help us achieve manufacturing supremacy in our market. IQMS, along with our superior quality product base and forward-thinking staff, helped us achieve that goal.
Integrated modules for single vendor / single source complete ERP implementation - IQMS provides all of the ocmponent we needed to get our manufacturing facility in sync. Reltime Manufacturing Metrics - The Realtime components of the system allow for immediate and preemptive actions to maintain high manufacturing standards and sustainable quality. Customization Options - The flexibility of the system allows for customized solutions to be developed for additional processes. The integration team at IQMS takes the time to listen to the needs of the customer to develop the right solutions. User Driven Development - IQMS values input and ideas from their userbase. That is a key component in any new development of IQMS.
Confusind Version Numbers - Version numbers on the software can be a bit confusing and maybe even misleading. Implementation Can Be Cumbersome - Our implementation was not as streamlined as we would have wanted it to be. At times we were misled as to some of the functionality only to find out it required additional components whichw ere not readily available.

I would highly recommend IQMS for any manufacturer seeking to upgrade or install an ERP system. We reviewed many of their competitors thoroughly and IQMS had the best integration by far of any other ERP vendor.
The system is pretty much entirely integrated. We at DLH Industries, Inc.use the software for Manufacturing, EDI, Accounting, Shop Floor monitoring, and Inventory control. Implementation specialist was top notch. System also runs rock solid with very little downtime. Price is very competitive fro the feature set delivered. IQMS as a whole is very open to customer feedback and reacts to the feedback.
I would have given support 5 stars instead of 4 except for the following: No weekend or after hours support. We run 24 x 5 Sometimes difficult to get problem resolved by first person to answer. However, support calls are always tracked Still, the IQMS support team is better than most other support entities I have dealt with even with issues cited above.

NBP highly recommends the Quality module in general and gives Quality Audit particularly high marks. It has allowed us to consolidate several disjointed pieces into a centralized system, tied directly into our ERP software. This has allowed us to become far more efficient with our audits with a much greater degree of consistency and documentation. Our lead auditor calls it, "A one-stop-shop for information".
Centralized and comprehensive, robust and function rich, direct links to CARs, easy access to information, extremely customizable, promotes continuity during auditor turnover, ability to email notifications directly from app and keep history, ample user defined fields
4000 character restriction in audit conclusion field was limiting for us, limited built in reports, cannot edit a scheduled template

Solutions. Our legacy system was excel. So moving from excel to EIQ is a GIANT step but once everyone is onboard and executing properly, it is easy to see and understand the benefits it brings. My belief is to get ' a single source of truth' and EIQ provides us with that opportunity.
It is a complete package. EIQ has the basic functionality to satisfy general requirements for most manufacturing companies. Once you understand the layout, design, and functionality of a module, the other modules become intuitive as they all look similar.
The multi language (french) is very poorly done. It is an expensive addition that is difficult to use at the same time as the english version as updates are not done at the same time.

IQ is the best software that I have used - it takes a while to learn and understand, but once you have it figured out it is amazing everything you can do.
Everything flows together smoothly. Being able to jump from one screen to another is a great help. I like the color codes in different area especailly the scheduling module that let's you know if there are issues just by looking at the screen and being able to right click to see what material are needed right from the schedule.
You can't change class after entering an item. we need more customization on PO's. The shop calendar portion is a nighmare - there are a few presses that we will want to run 2 or 3 shifts for several weeks and I have to manually go enter the time off for each day for those presses, very time consuming. I have not found a good efficiency report that is broken down by operator. Cycle counting is another area that is not user friendly in IQ.

IQMS seems to have all of the features we would want for a small/medium business. It has a great deal of flexibility, without an overabundance of complexity. The system is definately faster than the other solutions we looked at, which was one of our deciding points. Overall we are also pleased with the support we have received and their ability to regualrly implement fixes and improvements.
We implemented IQMS 18 months ago and are generally pleased with the results. We have found a way to meet virtually every goal we had and even some we did not. The person that helped us thru implentation was very knowledgeable and really worked with us to make sure we got up and running. The customer support was readily available and persistent in working thru to a solution.
While there are literally 1000's of pre-written reports available, we found very few that were of any real use to us as is. We eventually had to hire a report writer to customize virtually every report to meet our needs. In their defense, IQMS warned us of this prior to implementation, but we just expected the stock reports to be more useful and accurate. We used almost all stock reports in our...

EnterpriseIQ provides an excellent foundation for information systems supporting manufacturing operations. I would recommend this software to anyone in the plastic molding industry, and would go as far as to say that you in order to succeed, you need this product.
With the depth of features, EnterpriseIQ provides solutions to meet most any challenge. Most users will find that the numbers of features and adaptability will far exceed typical demands. User input solicitation by IQ and an active user group provide a strong backbone of communication and support. Each new release of EnterpriseIQ extends capabilities and versatility without compromising functionality and ease of use. On rare occasions requiring problem-solving support, IQ is quick, thorough, and professional with their response.
While standard reports are adequate for many users, generating custom SQL reports may take the average user signifcant time to master. Similarly, security within EnterpriseIQ is versatile and customizable, but tailoring specific security needs can be time consuming.

I would recommend EnterpriseIQ to any molders looking for an ERP package.
Enterprise provides integretated modules for a single source of various manufacturing aspects beyond the basic - quality, preventative maintenance, toolroom etc. Geared towards our plastic injection molding needs. The realtime monitoring provides information to allow for immediate remedial actions. Crystal reports allows for flexability in reporting. The folks at IQ are forward thinking and value user input into improving the product. User group is helpful - they post solutions which help us make implementation issue decisions and post reports they have designed.
It takes alot of work to fully use the aspects of IQ. Support is very professional but we have noticed their responses are slowing down.

We are happy with our choice and implementation of IQMS. We came from a home-grown solution and now have a feature rich, state of the art evolving ERP solution. As our company grows and we expand, we are confident that IQMS can take us where we need to be. We would recommend EnterpriseIQ to anyone needing an ERP solution.
We installed IQMS to fulfill our ERP systems needs. We wanted a one-stop ERP solution for plastics manufacturers to deal with EDI through scheduling. This tool had it. We try to match our requirements to the solutions, when they do, we ask the groups to utilize IQMS to solve their issue(s). We have a robust database with more data than we've ever had, most of it factual. Our decisions can now be backed up with history data. When we need more functionality, IQMS wants to help.
There is a hesitancy to fix things as they are implemented, most fixes (especially changes) require us to wait for the next version. We have a large implementation, across many plants/divisions/areas of expertise, we need the stability of a mature release and (internally) strugle performing full upgrades annually to get new functionality. We have one caveat in our business that is not fully serviced and that is our distribution center functionality. There is no native software to handle this, however there is a lot of data resources and the ability to utilize Crystal Reports to satisfy to move between distribution and consumption areas.

My product ratings are all incomplete at the moment, only because my company has not formally began to use IQMS. Our limited experience up to this point is all positive.
My company is in the infancy stages of implementing IQMS. We just recently (June 2012) purchased the sytstem after an extensive search comparing IQMS to about 5-6 other ERP systems. The deciding factor in our decision to move forward with IQMS was its ability to accommodate engineering, scheduling, accounting, quality, SPC, etc,,, all under one platform whereas other software companies offered solutions to our needs but had to bring in third party vendors and "link" them with the database. We look forward to a smooth and successful implementation.
As of the moment, because we are not using IQMS, there are no negative comments regarding our experience with this software.

An efficient and easy to use accounting system. Costing needs enhanced so you have the ability to generate income statements by SBU without having to run a lot of reports and do manual journal entries.
UI is perfect. Navigation is simple. Reports are straight forward. Performing transactions in both a/r and a/p are effortless. Entering invoices from the a/p side is very very efficient.
Posting shop floor is too cumbersome. Needs to have more journals for separation of posting activities to better track costing. (dispo contains too much info). Posting should ask you for an accounting period only...and only once. i.e Disposition journal posting wants info twice. Always should be free from with current date..only needs to ask what period. Cash disbursement should have check number control and populate the last check number. Concerning sales and cost of goods sold, inventory screen will let you enter a different sales account number for the item but not other accounts such as standard cost of good sold. You end up with sales of 100,000 but costs all go to the default account.

The feeling within our company is very positive regarding EnterpriseIQ. It is a package that appears to have been essentially co-developed by plastics processors through customer feedback. With that, it has been a great tool to streamline our operation. This, being like many other things, you will get out of it what you put into it. We are a small company with many of us wearing many proverbial hats. Consequently, none of us are dedicated toward ERP utilization / improvement. With that and as expected, expanded use of the software is coming around at a slower pace. I have no regrets in having recommended the purchase of Enterprise IQ. If I knew then what I know know about the software, I would make the same purchase decision.
A 'One Stop Shop' for just about any need for which a database is applicable within the plastic injection molding industry. Having used separate application software programs prior to IQMS, integration has been a huge benefit and future integration is still an opprortunity. Although I have only monitored it up to this point, the level of information shared by the User Group is amazing. IQMS Staff,...
While Tech Support is responsive and interaction is positive, the need to coordinate a time to "remote in" is not always convenient and sometimes discouraged me from calling or emailing. While Securities are very powerful and flexible, it seems there is complexity that comes with that power. Mastering securities is not something that appears to be intuitive or quickly/easily learned. Given the power and potential flexibility of the software, it does require a resource dedicated (at least to some degree) in order to tap into that power and expand use into it's many features. Cost as well as internal resources have prevented us from seriously considering additional modules and/or consulting visits from IQMS implementation specialists to improve utilization.

Superb. We spent over three years looking for a ERP system that would balance manufacturing and finance requirements and be able to cope with all the challenges related to injection moulding. We chose IQ and after six years of use have not regretted that decision once.
Truly a fully integrated system that allows users with the minimum amount of training to become proficient in a very short time. The ability to jump between modules without exiting the system is lean and effective. A visible and effective tool that is tailor made to cope with all the quirks of Injection Moulding in a highly competitive environment. Users have all the information they need at their...
Like other systems Its only as good as the data entered. The reporting structure is Crystal Report Based. If you do not have in-house Crystal help IQMS will provide support but it is charged separately. Upgrades and enhancements to improve the system also cause minor disruptions.

The success of your RF implementation is dependent on the stability of your infrastructure as well as the amount of resources you have available. IQMS has partnered with some great technologies including Label Matrix and Staylink. These software's take a little bit of extra time to get installed during the implementation process, but once you're up and running there is little management or maintenance. The Managed Services group was available to provide us with expert advice and guidance we needed to ensure that our handheld environment was ready at the time of GO-LIVE!
Controlling inventory on the Shop Floor is made easier through the use of the IQRF module. The system utilizes hand held bar code scanners, serialized inventory labeling, and your own wireless network. The system provides interaction between the inventory, shipping, receiving, and production modules in Enterprise IQ. Using handheld scanners we are able to completely manage the movement of our inventory...
The label design takes some time and is done in a 3rd party application (Crystal or Label Matrix). Also, we use scanners that have a 16 x 20 VT-220 terminal emulation display. This restriction sometimes leads to problems as the screen doesn t display the software interface cleanly. Finally, the RF module is not available in Spanish currently. Making sure that our bilingual users understand the interface and prompts takes additional training and resources.

Overall, we are happy with IQMS. We are a plastic injection molding company and we use the system from quote to cash. It is our central point of information and connectivity between departments. We are intending to expand our usage of the system in the future by adding other modules. Our reporting capabilities are significantly increased through the usage of this system as well. We use the IQAlert and IQVoice systems on a daily basis to stay ahead of issues and report problems immediately to the manufacturing floor. RealTime screens are running throughout the plant so we have an instant visual on how the day is going. Overall, this has been a great benefit to our company and has helped us grow our business.
The Real time access to information is my favorite thing about this software. We use the modules to connect to the machines and this information drives many of our decisions. The system has a great deal of functionality, and I know we are not utilizing it to its fullest. It has helped us as we are growing as a manufacturing company.
I do not like having to upgrade to a whole new version when we need to make a change. It would be nice if we could simply update with a patch. It takes a long time to get a solution to a system issue and we are often making work arounds. I know they are beginning to offer web-based solutions that will probably largely eliminate this issue. (Although, development and corrections will still take time I'm sure). Also, I feel as though the customer service has gone down since we began with them in 2011. I tend to only call support when I'm really stuck with an issue. More often then not, I'm directed to help pages that I've already read and still didn't resolve my issue.
