How did we function before IQMS?

2010-07-19

We have confidence in the data and reports we pull out of IQMS, which is priceless.

Pros

With the implementation of IQMS and the Warehouse Management module we were finally able to accurately value and track inventory.

Cons

I am afraid we may be missing some new feature or change because we don't know it is there.

EnterpiseIQ For Plastic Injection Molding

2010-05-27

The real power of this application is the tight integration between modules, the user-friendly interface and the minimal system administration required.

Pros

- EnterpriseIQ is a very flexible, feature-rich application with a nicely integrated set of modules - Industry specific with many built-in enhancements specific to the plastic molding and manufacturing industry - User-friendly interface with good security framework and functionality across all modules - Use of standard Crystal Reports for custom reporting - Robust Oracle back end database - Has the ability to run as a Citrix Server published application - Handles multi-plant configuration scenarios - Web and RF based modules for some computing functionality on mobile and scanner devices - Helpful and responsive customer service and tech support - Decent built-in and online help documentation - Online, instructor-led training classes available for most modules

Cons

- Installation and configuration of database server, client machines and various other components is a bit complicated and can be very tricky if upgrading hardware or software versions - Have encountered occasional flaws/bugs or shortcomings in functionality within some modules (may be addressed in more recent versions) - Barcode label printing is cumbersome and difficult to configure and maintain across multiple remote locations - No public API or developer license to make customizations to database schema or application modules - Customer service / tech support not available 24/7 - Client applications not Windows 64 bit compatible

Very functional; Report accuracy between different modules is great.

2017-09-14

One common database for information. Real time information. Covers all aspects of our business.

Pros

Being specifically designed for the plastics industry helps find pertinent data easily.

Cons

While I'm very conversant with the accounting and financial reports, it's using reports from other modules that I could use more information on.

Total Business System

2010-05-12

The system is fully integrated, is a single source, meets Quality system standard requerments with the built in interfaces. It allows for some customization and development of reports you build in Crystal and integrate them into the ERP system directly without having to build an external menu system to run the reports.

Pros

Most ERP systems start with the financial side including order entry, purchasing and the like most do not support manufacturing and manufacturing processes or recommend third party applications to enhance their system in an attempt to provide a full ERP solution.

Cons

There are not many cons to speak of. I believe this is due to the fact that they have a very robust system that is extensively tested prior to release and that they are such a customer focused organization. They do not always accommodate all change requests however they do make an effort to review it and respond as to why or why not the change will be accepted or rejected.

The software has all of the key components for manufacturing and is designed for the plastics industry.

Pros

If you are diligent in utilizing IQMS in all of your enterprise activities (scheduling, accounting, quality, etc.) the wealth of data is easy to locate, report, and analyze.

Cons

Since IQMS has been able to find a solution to every challenge I've posed, I cannot identify a specific con.

EnterpriseIQ - The Intelligent Choice

2010-05-28

It is very strong in Scheduling, Quality, CRM, Real-Time Press Monitoring, Warehouse/Inventory Management, and Asset Management, as well as the core ERP functions (AR, AP, etc.)

Pros

IQMS comes with many pre-written reports and customization is relatively easy with CR.

Cons

We have not been able to get IQ to fit our needs for quoting, but in all fairness our system is fairly elaborate.

Dymotek IQMS Review

2010-08-12

The system was already in place when I joined the Dymotek team but I found the ability to learn the software easy and the resources available from IQMS to assist if I got stuck.

Pros

We have started including an IQMS demonstration on prospective customer plant tours; all who are impressed with its' abilities and adaptability to customize reports to meet their needs, i.e. inventory levels, reorder points, etc.

Cons

While the upgrades always include enhanced features that allow for further integration and ease of use, occasionally the changes have unforeseen consequences that cause small inconveniences.

IQMS ERP Review

2012-06-27

IQMS is an excellent system for manufacturers of plastic products. We investigated a number of different ERP systems before deciding on IQMS and couldn't be happier with the results.

Pros

IQMS replaced multiple independent systems in our organization including MRP, real time, reporting, asset management, preventative maintenance, and more.

Cons

- The Outsource Central module may be the only module that has not met our expectations, particularly regarding how inventory transactions are handled

EnterpriseIQ - The Ultimate ERP Solution

2010-06-28

I would highly recommend EnterpriseIQ. The staff at IQMS is a pleasure to work with and extremely accessible. IQMS listens to their users and allow them to have a great amount of input into enhancements to EnterpriseIQ. When there is a question as to how users feel about an enhancement that another user suggests, it is put to a user vote. This is done online so that users don't have to wait until a user group meeting to vote. IQMS hosts Users Group meetings that are very informative and helpful for networking with other users. With many tools that IQMS has provided to their users, users can easily pose questions to a user forum and get a quick response. EnterpriseIQ is a great ERP solution that should not be passed by!

Pros

There is no need to use 3rd party software to transfer/link labor time & attendance to payroll.

Cons

The only issue that we have had with EnterpriseIQ is trying to integrate biometric fingerprint readers to use as our means of collecting attendance.

IQ. Small company personal service, pricing and a product better than most ¿¿¿giants¿¿¿.

2010-08-25

Superb. We spent over three years looking for a ERP system that would balance manufacturing and finance requirements and be able to cope with all the challenges related to injection moulding. We chose IQ and after six years of use have not regretted that decision once.

Pros

Its a living constantly improving system. Management encourage users to give feedback, provide the means to do so and listen to the voice of the customer.

Response from IQMS

In the most recent releases of EnterpriseIQ, we have enhanced the export to Excel functionality on our reports. Users can not only export to many Excel types (including data only) but can attach Excel Data Only reports to our Business Activity Monitoring. Our records indicate this client facility is on a previous software version.

I have experienced many ERP Systems software over the years, IQMS is one of the best I have used.

Good buy, but be aware of its shortcomings in the acocunting area

Pros

Rich features, ease of use Great jump to options almost everywhere Covers all modules, and hence centralized database and ease of reporting Emailing, printing, faxing features are centralized.

Cons

Security inspector module is difficult to manage and administer PIT transactions are not batched while posting to GL and hence if the business activity is happening, PIT gets affected.

Response from IQMS

IQMS is contacting this client to discuss specific PIT and Multi-Currency items as we do not currently have any outstanding support activities for these topics.

For Sales Order revisions and changes, we have reminded the client of the IQTrace feature which can be set up per company to trace changes to any field within the Sales Order. This trace feature can provide a history of what fields were edited, the previous and new entry, the date and by whom the change was made.

IQMS Review - DLH Industries

2012-06-29

When researching ERP vendors, IQMS easily stood above the other's we looked at with the level of integration provided

Pros

We currently use Enterprise IQ for Manufacturing (Inventory Control, Production, WMS), EDI, Accounting and are in the process of bring over our Quality Systems and Maintenance.

Cons

There are only one areas i could find issues with. While the support staff is very good and respond timely, they are not availble after hours or on weekends. We run 25x5 and need to do our upgrades and maintenace on the weekend. Also, being in the Eastern Time Zone, if i have an issue early in the morning, support doesn't arrive for a few hours.

The system is very user friendly and the transition from module to module is seamless making cross training much easier.

Pros

In addition, we have been able to reduce the number of third party maintenance contracts.

Limitations in Crystal Reporting for charting, however, with the addition of SmartPage we are finding this to be less of an issue.

IQMS: the silver bullet of ERP software?

2010-07-27

Imagine both the scenarios of bad economy and 50% drop in your sales, and then good economy and 50% increase in your sales.

Pros

Integrated EDI solution, serialization, bar code scanning, real time workstation monitoring (no 3rd party complications).

Cons

No real cons that wouldn't apply generally to all other ERP software (for example, the cost of annual maintenance and license pricing model, better tools for monitoring license usage, cumbersome security, and the upgrade process). You do need at least one full time in-house "champion." Most of our issues with IQ tend to be self-inflicted and usually come from our internal lack of proper understanding of the appropriate use of the program, and/or real world constraints (for example, "do you want it under budget or on time?"). As with any software support, sometimes you must patiently ask complicated questions a couple of different ways before you both reach a mutual understanding of each other's positions.

IQMS Meets Our Needs

2010-08-27

IQMS provides us with a flexible infrastructure that lets us not only track vital information, but to truly use that information to better our business.

Pros

IQMS provides information at every step of our business, from raw materials to shipped product and from prospect to repeat customer. Customizable user fields and user forms allow us to adjust the system to fit our processes, rather than the other way around.

Cons

Updates are monolithic and, while providing great value in terms of new features, can cause unintended consequences. Due to their scope, they are difficult to fully test before implementation. The software is more focused on the plastics industry than others in the manufacturing sections and it took a lot more effort during implementation to understand and setup the software correctly. The security administration is not the most intuitive, and needs to be reviewed after each upgrade. User licenses are expensive and add to yearly costs.
