I would recommend IQMS to someone looking for a system to cover a wide variety of processes-from inventory management, BOM's, accounting, etc.

Pros

Customer support is very helpful and timely. Alerts are very helpful and have saved a lot of time also!

Cons

The accounting module seems to be a little weak. Some of the payroll setup is difficult to implement and maintain.

Pros

IQMS offers everything needed to run a injection molding business and more. Quoting, production reporting, inventory , shipping accounting and more.

Cons

To be specific, there was a fairly recent change which made entering a quote due date mandatory.

The beginning has been slow as many decisions for process flow and paperless reporting to drive the system.

Pros

This option has solutions from Quote and Project Management to ERP and Quality.

Cons

The Asset Management module does not meet GAAP requirements for auditing but it can assist the Preventative Maintenance group with purchasing history.

IQMS for what?

This is used as a single system to manage quotes, sales orders, purchase orders, inventory management, manufacturing, etc.

Pros

This allows us to house our CRM, Inventory Management and Manufacturing tracking in one system.

Cons

There has to be a fully trained admin to run the software. We have one, which means whoever has the highest priority gets their edits, this is not always great for all team members. When there are updates it wipes out all your previous user settings.

I would highly recommend implementing document control to any company that has several filing cabinets throughout multiple departments; causing employees to physically search through these multiple locations, rather than using a mouse wheel at their desk and remaining productive.

We house our Quality, Customer, and HR documents within IQ libraries for quick, electronic, centralized access from anywhere in the plant.

EnterpriseIQ - The Intelligent Choice

It is very strong in Scheduling, Quality, CRM, Real-Time Press Monitoring, Warehouse/Inventory Management, and Asset Management, as well as the core ERP functions (AR, AP, etc.)

Pros

We were able to consolidate our old ERP and several independent, and often redundant databases, spreadsheets and other systems into one central application.

Cons

We have not been able to get IQ to fit our needs for quoting, but in all fairness our system is fairly elaborate.

Cons

There are a couple modules that we would like to add to our IQMS software for better integration of data, namely the Human Resource, Training, and Preventive Maintenance Modules, however they are not yet robust enough to replace our existing software.

- Installation and configuration of database server, client machines and various other components is a bit complicated and can be very tricky if upgrading hardware or software versions - Have encountered occasional flaws/bugs or shortcomings in functionality within some modules (may be addressed in more recent versions) - Barcode label printing is cumbersome and difficult to configure and maintain across multiple remote locations - No public API or developer license to make customizations to database schema or application modules - Customer service / tech support not available 24/7 - Client applications not Windows 64 bit compatible

Our Systems Administrator raves about the customer support provided by IQMS.

Pros

The capability to have on-line documentation is great but we had to isolate all prints to BOM documents as it was confusing for the user to remember if prints were in inventory or BOM.

Cons

Need the capability to archive non-active BOM's and inventory items and the capability to tie the "inactive" process together for the BOM and inventory item.

The overall experience with DELMIAworks has been alright, I feel like IQMS has lost a bit of brand identity with the merger and makes it harder to network with other users. The software has been helping our company make some major improvements over the past year, hope to see the future products continue pushing us in the correct direction.

Pros

Our company enjoys the real-time production monitoring, inventory management and sales order generation.

Cons

On the current version we have the accounting side was a process to develop in order to make out perpetual GL balance to the GL without a massive sync up entry. We had some great support over the past few years helping us improve, but this still need massaged and managed daily. Hoping the new version with IACJ will become a little less labor intensive and we can free up some costly labor running daily transactions.

I personally like Enterprise IQ from the experience I've with it on a daily basis. This is coming from someone who mostly had very little formal training with the software and was finding things through trial and error. EIQ is mostly intuitive, functional, and does mostly what we need it to do.

Pros

EIQ is designed to be worked out of almost completely and when taken advantage of, it can be very powerful in that regard.

Cons

Unfortunately, there are no drill-downs available for inventory cost analysis.

-IQ offers, in one software package, many solutions so we are able to have all of our data in one place.

Pros

With each plant being a different type (short run, high volume, contract, silicone, etc) of manufacturer, that is very important. -IQ Alert and Crystal Reports helps me to monitor activity and find when issues are occuring at any level and any plant.

Overall I think that Accounting Module is very customizable but does take a lot of set up time to get it the way user's want it.

If we had not implemented three years ago, we would have been up a creek without a paddle. It is truly an end to end solution and with so many packages to add on to the core, it will be able to grow with us into the future.

Pros

Many many add on's within the same software company - as well as the ability to go outside the core and get third party spreadsheet add on's that make reporting a breeze.

Cons

Because of its overwhelming ability to do almost anything, sometimes you are disappointed by some small things it cannot do. Sometimes you have to go through a couple of people to find the best solution to your problems in support, but generally they get you the answers in a timely manner.

Having complete control and visibility of our inventory and processes along with being able to run accurate gross profit reports is priceless.

Pros

Some of the recent functionality additions we have found particularly valuable include: -quick scan for invoices and sales orders -ability to drop email correspondence virtually anywhere in the system -reverse journal entries and the push of a button -ability to close INV status in the GL periods maintenance has been extremely useful in reconciling inventory accounts

Cons

An observation more than a con: Implementing Upgrades! We couldn't do this successfuly without the help of an IQ consultant. There is just too much to know and understand.

Quality Audit Module

NBP highly recommends the Quality module in general and gives Quality Audit particularly high marks. It has allowed us to consolidate several disjointed pieces into a centralized system, tied directly into our ERP software. This has allowed us to become far more efficient with our audits with a much greater degree of consistency and documentation. Our lead auditor calls it, "A one-stop-shop for information".

Centralized and comprehensive, robust and function rich, direct links to CARs, easy access to information, extremely customizable, promotes continuity during auditor turnover, ability to email notifications directly from app and keep history, ample user defined fields

Cons

4000 character restriction in audit conclusion field was limiting for us, limited built in reports, cannot edit a scheduled template
