There are way too many features to I can’t find in Vision. It’s hard to find the features I don’t use very often. It’s easy to find the ones I use daily because they are on the “home” screen.
It is easy to move around in. It’s color coded.
I don’t know where any of the administrators features are; how to unlock records, how to do journal entry without locking a client, how to manage and change passwords and users. Basically all the features that where very easy to find in the Legacy Print Smith. It’s also way to “touchy”, I end up accidentally pressing a bottom when moving the mouse over it.

We converted from Classic. It was an easy transition. The system does what it is suppose to do. Keeps track of orders and makes invoices.
Low cost compared to other software and does about the same thing. It is getting better all the time. They have released updates every few months that have improved the functionally and the User Experience. The system has all the same functions as all the other ones at a much lower price. Pricing system is pretty good.
Reporting is terrible. No easy way to put in sign pricing. I wish it had a direct connection to Quickbooks, including all the customer information and sales information.

Very pleased with product and support
Easy to use, and does everything I need, better than how I used to do it myself.
It's not terribly intuitive when setting up invoice and estimate templates.

Moving from Legacy to Vision created challenges, but overall Vision is a better product, and once all the bugs are eliminated, it will be excellent.
We transitioned from Legacy. It was difficult, but the changes made it easier to move around in each component of Vision. Entering invoices is easier, leaving notes and attached digital docs is very useful. Dashboard.
Many quirks in this release. Screen columns do not move smoothly. Charges from old invoices from Legacy do not import well and cannot be deleted. We lost ability to add delivery notes after an invoice is posted. Shifting an SQL database and language makes creating simple reports near impossible. Auto log off time is far too short, let administrators shut that feature off. Some log dates are in EU format.

Overall this is a very good software for small to medium size shops to be able to quickly estimate, and put in a order for you company.
This software is fairly easy to set up and use for someone with a good estimating / printing background. Also very good to show other workers how to use.
Problems I have found that are an annoyance are the job description box is to small to put in an full accurate description. The box allows for multiple lines but you can only see two lines on screen which is fine for descriptions that are one run on on sentience but if you stack the items of the description they get lost above the 2nd line. Also I have not found an easy way to update the stock price when an old price goes up. This used to be in the old Legacy Version.

We run a hub-and-spoke print organisation and the ability of multiple sites to enter jobs and tickets being used to remotely produce work is the heart of our business. Not sure how we would do it without PrintSmith.
Easy job building with automatic volume pricing is by far the key to the software's success. A meaningful and easy to follow job ticket is the second most powerful tool. The logging of pending estimates and easy conversion to invoice/job is the third.
There is far too much button clicking "Confirm, Save, Confirm, Save" The WIP shows only in client alphabetical listing, does not remember the order desired (eg date due). The NOTES section adds two blank lines every time it is confirmed. A delivery docket is treated as a form of invoice - it is not.

Being a long time customer I feel like I am on my own to figure out these changes from Flash to HTML with little support from EFI. Quite frankly want to look for another product from a different vendor but too busy trying to figure this software out and trying to keep my business afloat. As if 2020 with the challenges of the election and COVID weren't enough these Printsmith changes are the icing on the cake. I understand why this needed to be done but the roll out has been painful.
Work in progress report, being able to change job location in pending document screen, being able to print delivery tickets and other functions from pending document screen.
record locks, multiple clicks to confirm and save to make changes, not being able to find delivery ticket history, too many to list

Wonderful and easy to use!
Love the Integration with the other EFI Product. Love that the program runs web based.
It is a little pricey. and each part of the program is sold separate add ons.

We have used PrintSmith since its inception. We have looked at others over the last 25+ years, but have remained loyal to PrintSmith. The updates with the new version have been most welcomed by both our administration and staff.
Encompasses most entities relating to the Print Industry including ability to customize pricing structures, update costing and relevant price structures in a fairly straightforward fashion.
Inability to utilize for our Sign division in the same manner we use it for print. Some behind the scenes structure is very complex and not as intuitive as we would like. Editing of custom reports is not great as no one knows how/wants to tackle using the iNet designer. Wish this could be improved.

I am still learning the system, but over all I have been able to use it most of the day without having to go back to the earlier model. I like when you can go into Job Comments put in were the job is at any given time. Example "Job done waiting for pick up" / "Job in bindery area" / "Waiting for second part of job". With this option, other worker can see what has been done and if it is ready to be picked up or even mailed.
I like the pending selection it allows you to select 1 or more invoices at the same time. Get allows you to either print or posted the invoices. The service technician's are smart, knowable, and helpful even when you ask the same question more than one time.
Some times an invoice will get locked by another user, when this happens I have to go into the old system to unlock it by going to Help to Session Utilities. I have not been able to find out how to do it in Print Vison

Overall our experience has been good, but they are only as good as our last issue and this issue was/is a biggie.
If you have worked on Classic you will find Vision more intuitive. Due to Covid I was only in the office a few hours a week when this was implement and no one really had the time to teach me how to use it. With in a few minutes I was able to figure out and do my job as needed. Report option much easier to use and updated functions are great.
There are things that have not yet been fixed in Vision, so I have to go into Classic and apply things. Tech support has been outsourced and it is horrible! You can call the EFI help number and they want you to leave a message and they will enter a ticket for you. I have not been able to talk to a real person by calling a number. They have to call you. We are having an issue with Closing out (which we do nightly) and the support we received for the first 5 days was almost non existent. They told us to fix a problem and we would be able to close out, but that was not the case..was no the problem and they did not response when we report this. I had to call sales and tell them what was going on to level up our issue, needless to say we have gone 14 days without a close out and they can not fix our register tape. They say they can fix the report, but my confidence is not high.

The Legacy Vision is pretty user friend as it was very similar to the previous version but this Fast Track is going to be very complicated for me in the back office as well as extremely difficult for our Customer Service Reps who need to have ease of use for those customers who walk in and need an invoice/estimate or POS fast. I am hoping that the new update will make this easier on all that utilize this all day everyday.
The original PrintSmith Vision (Legacy) was very easy to use and navigate. When there was an issue it was generally a very quick fix.
It can be glitchy at times, close down unexpectedly, run VERY slow. The new Fast Track Vision is quite complicated as it is so vastly different from the Legacy version.

We are moving to another MIS system after over 14 years with EFI PrintSmith and EPS PrintSmith Vision.
user-friendly interface, ease of navigation, modular pricing, and knowledgeable sales.
Support availability and response time, even for P1 priority (System down) requests. There is no 24-hour Support or support during major updates over the weekend. Limited credit card processor integration. USD-based billing, price and service.

When I started in my current position we were using PrintSmith Classic and it was not user friendly AT ALL. Since upgrading to Fast Track things are much smoother and user friendly. Its easier to create templates and get a general overview of my workload and to add job notes and memo's to my coworkers.
I like the Fast Track drop down windows and the ease of changing locations and dates on jobs. Especially when integrated with PrintSpeak and doing bulk actions.
The part of PSV that I like least is that its slow due to being web-based. Also, the constant confirming and saving is redundant.. Need to reduce the amount of clicks needed to perform basic functions.

My overall review of the Vision is still not great yet, to me it was easier to navigate on the Classic version.
It streamlines many functions that is needed in the printing/copying operation whether its commercial or inplant educational.
The disapointing part of the Vision program is that there are still many flaws or functions that have not been finalized yet. I would still like to have the option of going back and forth to the Classic version.

Print Smith is what I started off with when I started my job. Print Smith Vision is the evolution of this order management system that continues to innovate and surprise its users. I would recommend this program to anyone running a printing or marketing management business.
What I liked most about this software was all the new features in it. The amount of details and flexibility for each line item and job helps us push for more customers.
My only complaint about this software is it does occasionally get weird glitches. These glitches take away paper stock we have and we have to wait on an IT tech to work on it.

It is better than it was but still does not have the ease and options as the old Print Leader.
It is easier to select your items. It looks better and easier to make selections.
The fonts need to be different sizes when you print out your job tickets and Invoices. All the fonts are the same, ticket numbers, special instructions should have different size options and font options to make certain items easily seen. Other items we are still checking, Wide format pricing, across the board price increase, this was not user friendly in the old version, we are hoping it will be in this version.

Very, very thankful for this upgrade as its made the task of estimating faster which allows me to be more responsive to my clients.
efi has done a fabulous job in getting Vision over to being cloud based. I love the ability to log in from anywhere and have no degradation in speed/performance.
There are very few things that I don't like at this time. I think the system might not be as strong in estimating large format and how it handles oversized substrates. Also, I wish there was a recall button to pull up the last estimate I was working on. (The old Printsmith version had this).

Customer support has always been top notch.
We adopted PrintSmith Vision when it was first PrintSmith Classic, an affordable solution for a growing business. As Vision has evolved we have embraced the enhancements. Vision has truly helped us understand our true costs and is a reliable tool to return consistent pricing during the estimating process.
The re-write of the software from flash to html has been painstaking. With a hard deadline looming in the very near future and the entire program not yet operating in html5 is incredibly nerve wracking.

Overall... after we get past the learning curve of using the Classic Platform to the Vision. I expect that we'll be preferring the Vision.
The more we get used to this after using the Classic Platform for many years... the more we're liking it. But, the learning curve can be a bit frustrating.
Still having issues with where things are, or how to set-up certain quotes and invoices to mimic the look and feel of the Classic Platform that we've used for many years. I have another list of questions for customer support that will hopefully address the concerns.

There is great potential for this. As someone who uses Corebridge for the sign side of our business, I was really excited to transition into something that sounded like it would be more like Corebridge. Unfortunately, it just doesn't seem to "flow" as well as I had hoped.
It's a step in the right direction. I appreciate the ease of a web based program, meaning that I have the ability to access both from the office, as well as off-site if or when needed.
If I'm being honest, it's not terribly user friendly. Much of this could come from using the "legacy" version for so long, and then switching to this, and trying to find the various options, etc. That said - it seems odd to me that changes need to be confirmed, saved, then confirmed again for example. Also - when creating this new program, wouldn't it seem logical when creating the "account" area to have the tabs that are already existing, as well as one that shows history, all in one location, vs. having to click into an entirely new search area to pull up that information? Also - having the ability to e-mail invoices to customers directly from the program is great, however, unless I just haven't found it yet, there is not a way to track the history to show that you e-mailed it.

The overall look is nice and it moves more seamlessly then legacy
Glitches in the system have not been addressed for over 2 years Most of the time it takes support 2 or 3 days to get back to you unless you cry its an emergency. You can not copy and paste like you could in legacy You can not print a credit card receipt if it fails to print the first time. Need to confirm multiple times to save a simple job, legacy was much easier.

The software, if properly fed and cared for (meaning that the information and costs entered into the software must be accurate) will provide data and insights that help us retain and impress our clients.
I would like a more user-friendly way to extract marketing data. It is difficult to learn how to write reports for PrintSmith. If I could do that, I could use my own data to better market to clients and prospects. Getting reports written by EFI can be a cumbersome, not to mention costly, process.

I started using this product in 1999 when I was hired as the manager here. It was the program being used when I started
EFI PrintSmith Vision gives us great latitude in pricing and control. Fairly easy to train new employees in its use.
Converting from the Legacy edition was a bit of a problem. The billing and A/R functions were a little bit slow to be transferred over. However with that being said, we were able to access the Legacy version for this functionality until it was transferred over.

Very fast response when customers need financial information from us. It is dependable and familiar after all these years.
Excellent record keeping, invoicing, and estimating capabilities.
PrintSmith Classic was perfect for us back in 2000-2010 because we had offset litho presses and used it as a teaching tool for our printing students. We have downsized and now its a bit too much for what we do. It has a ton of unneeded features.
