An improvement but lacking some key features that old version just does better.
Stock definition is spot on - no going back across multiple windows. User Friendly - most items are easy to find. We are still learning!!
1.Constant confirmation when making a change in anything. Copying multiple jobs from history was easier in the old version. 2.Having to keep going back to home to pending documents. In older version your pending document were always open 3. If you are creating a new invoice, you can print a job ticket right there but you have to get out and go to pending document to print an invoice. 4.How do we alter our job tickets/invoices/estimate in the new version.

PrintSmith runs my business. From Estimates to job tracking to invoicing and AR it does it all. it is very easy to train new users as the flow is logical.
I do not have any negatives about PrintSmith Vision.

I still use the old version, because some of the features aren't in the new version.
Not all of the features are in the new version yet. Not a way to bring the customers over to QuickBooks so I double enter everything. I can't use the API that just creates one customer in QuickBooks.

Compared to Printsmith Classic, vision is a whole new animal. Yet it’s still easy to use. Setup is the biggest challenge.
Once it’s set up right, easy to keep your finger on the pulse of your shop.
Set up, especially forms and pricing, are difficult to put it mildly.

It has been a difficult journey, but I am understanding more. I know there is a lot more that this can do but it is hard to uncover when there is already so much I HAVE to learn to even use it.
I like the idea of what it can do, but setting it up has not been easy
The transition between the two versions is annoying. I really want to be able to modify an invoice after I have picked it up. If i need to add shipping or give my customer a discount it shouldn't be so difficult to do so.

Ease of use. From putting in jobs, to changing stock pricing and running reports it's very straightforward and easy to do. With the new html5 version we had a bit of a learning curve, but everything is easier to find now.
Not too much. It does a great job of what we need on a daily basis.

Keeps all history. E-mail directly. Paper options. Lots of sorting and searching options.
Several little bugs that take extra seemingly unnecessary time. Some things are not intuitive. Credit card payment entry issues. Accounts get frozen when entering payments. Pricing and charges can be difficult.

The thing I like most about Vision is that you are working in one screen, as opposed to multiple screens in legacy.
The thing I like least is the stock picker, and the fact that you can't have more than 1 job open at a time. Although the final version is not out yet so maybe that will change

Very good, I've been working with the various incarnations of the software since 1999.
I like how it makes it easy to create an estimate or invoice, everything I need is there.
Well right now I have to learn a totally new interface, since it's been redesigned, thanks to the imminent demise of Adobe Flash.

We are currently in Legacy. We just switched from Classic last September. The switch last year was painful and I dread making another switch. We were without software support for days.
The ability to access from the internet.
Difficult to figure the system out. I prefer the Classic version over what we have now.

Initially I had some concerns about the length of time that would be required to export the PrintSmith Classic data to PS Vision and what difficulties might be expected. However, we ran a test, using the full set of Classic data and found that it took less time than originally expected. PS Support were helpful with their instructions to remove the test data and create a new, empty database. We did have some challenges with the layout of the new Invoice forms, but were able to sort them out.
Customer support; the new interface; we are still able to use a couple of our older, slower, Workstations when necessary.
Our initial attempt to set up this software was disappointing (at level 3 of the software). Waited for a year until level 4.6 software was available and then made another attempt. However, when I got to the 4.7 level we found that the level 4.7 installer would not work. On a positive note, the EFI support team were very patient and ultimately were able to debug the 4.7 installer and complete that level of installation.

PrintSmith Vision is very cost-effective for a small business and it works well enough for your day to day tasks. Having a full HTML5 version is exciting.
The integration with DSF can be improved. From a printer's point of view, some of the workflows can be improved.

From CSR, Graphic Designer and Project Manager, I am able to handle most of what is thrown at me!
It is very user friendly and very neat that other programs work along side of it (DSV, Ship Express, etc) that we use on a daily basis.
It has its quirks, but there are world arounds.

Great print management/invoice program. Saves us lots of time with invoices and reports to my administrators.
A little difficult to get started. I think you need to be intuitive with software programs like this.

very frustrating
nothing stands out as something to note as particularly likable
now that this is web based it slows our entire office network down for all computer work. getting knocked off every 5 minutes and having to log back in ALL day long is beyond frustrating. it now takes more steps/mouse clicks to get to what I need than Classic did. all my reports/invoices etc. are jacked up and it's very difficult to format the way I need. when I process payments, I put in the check number and instead of pressing enter on the number keypad to go to the amount entry; I have to go all the way across my keyboard and use the tab key instead - everything just takes longer. The payroll report prints in no order that makes sense and there is no way to sort/filter/format. For a two week pay period - it prints the names for each week in a different order. Why can't I tell it to sort alphabetically?

I like the ease of being able to copy over a new order from an old one with just a couple clicks.
The continued having to confirm and then save. I miss being able to use the hot keys to save my work. Just extra steps that don't seem to make sense.

Poor
We migrated from Printsmith Classic to Vision as Classic is now end of life. Not really a positive experience. The only positive is EFI are a market leader in graphic arts and constantly developing - we live in hope things get better?
Very slow browser-base software. Very clunky and slow to react (compared to Classic). Unless you are a programmer and know SQL, you cant easily make your own reports, invoice layouts and delivery notes - a reliance on Support to make the reports, custom invoice layouts etc, is needed. Confusing Yes / No "confirmations" on not saving or discarding items while estimating (no undo - delete and its gone!!). Fast-Track is no better, quite drawn-out compared to "Old Classic" - coupled with the browser-lag it takes twice as long to do an estimate. After 20-years using Printsmith - we are seriously thinking its time to look around

Historical information, flexibility with stocks and production
Large format pricing is tricky. Customer stock requires too many entries.

Print Smith has been a game changer with us. Not sure how we got along with out it.
Complete order and estimate history for my customer base
Never know when an update is released. I always have to ask. Why don't I get a simple email with an update link?

Many faulty ways with each version and many many things legacy did fast track does not. very annoying
