Evet Review

Reviewed 2 years ago

Would rate it a 3 or 4. Their customer service and instant chat help was great but it just wasn't the right software for our hospital at that time. It may work for other practices but with ours it just didnt work well for us.

Pros

We didnt like this software very much. We have used other programs that we preferred. It could take and store photos ir vaccine labels etc, it was easy to attach documents, and fairly easy to find your way around the program.

Cons

It didnt have enough features. The reporting module was lacking and the accts receivable module was difficult to use and for our clients to follow.

evet good value and features are still a work in progress

Reviewed 2 years ago

i like that it is in the cloud based. overall, i was debating between ezyvet and evet. im not sure i made the right decision. i am hoping with all the uodates that it will improve

Pros

customer service is great! always there to answer my questions and very patient and friendly

Cons

i have a hard time telling if the client transaction isnt cut and dry. if they left a deposit or if they have a balance on the account it is difficult to tell the formatting kn the document template is frustrating. it doesnt work like microsoft word. the tabs and bullet points dont format correctly we had issues with it running slow and our entire schedule disappearing

Vendor response

Thanks for being a great customer and for sharing your feedback with us.

Ease of use. Great for mobile practices

Cons

Lost a lot of data during our data migration

Reviewed 6 years ago

If you are 100% paperless, you will lose data during the migration. We consistently lost data across the board. When it was brought to the attention of eVet, they were unable to retrieve the lost data. It's a very imperfect system. Fortunately for us, we have always printed paper copies of our records as a backup so we can still access our patients's medical records.

Pros

Lots of reports - still learning what they all do Appointment book is easy to schedule Sending mass emails is easy Can monitor chronic meds and non-wellness testing

Cons

Data loss during migration. Customer service must be over online chat or email. Linked items do not populate invoice/estimate when they are in a "Package" Can't link a County Dog License # to the "License" code Can't automatically allow all active clients to access client portal (have to do this individually) Vaccine quick reference box includes ALL vaccines given (even those that have expired and have been updated with new vaccines)

Vendor response

Hello Karen, I'm sorry to hear you have had some challenges. We will email you regarding the migration and look into what might be missing. We migrate from Intravet all the time and have had no issues in the past bringing in the data. As of now, we have corrected everything that was reported to us during the migration and go live period. Apparently that isn't the case anymore and we will work hard to resolve. Our support is available by phone, email, and chat. You also have access to your trainer AND account manager via email and phone. If you need to call into it, please call 866-973-3622 ext 1 to speak with a support technician. Thank you for the feedback and we will work with you to help resolve. eVetPractice Team

Evet review

I like that i can print treatment plans seperate from invoices. This has created less confusion making a high end and low end.

Pros

The ability to look up owners/pets by multiple means.

Cons

Going between all of the tabs to find info is tedious

Great for our Groomkng salon

Reviewed 2 years ago
Pros

We use eVer for a dog grooming business and it has made scheduling appointments, sending reminders, tracking client needs and sending info to our clients a breeze. This program has made our office run smoothly!!!

Cons

I struggle with getting documents imported for use in mass communications. I spend a lot of time trying to find the docs that I’ve imported so that I can add them to an outgoing email. The help desk is always there to help me though so I appreciate that.

Vendor response

Thanks for being a great customer and for sharing your feedback with us.

A fine system held back by a clunky interface

Reviewed 8 days ago
Pros

The electronic medical record is fairly easy to use and great at keeping track of services and medications, and support is almost always able to assist.

Cons

The UI has progressively gotten worse with each update since we started using the software. The system is riddled with bugs and glitches that will cause slow downs in times of high pressure. Any administrative changes often don't take effect until after logging completely out of the system, making it difficult to determine if the changes had the desired effect.

Acceptable

Reviewed 8 days ago

I like it overall and the ease of it's use.

Pros

I like it's intuitive set up and functionality. I like how some things are very customizable. I like the variety of reporting and way the information in the patient record is presented.

Cons

I don't like how information in reports can be pulled via multiple reports and often with different results. I also don't like that pulling more than a a few days data tends to make my Pulse program freeze and crash for several minutes making it unusable while gathering data. I also wish we could do more customization with wellness plans and better reporting there. I also would like to be able to set up multiple reminders for things and set up online patient scheduling so I could move away from separate programs like Rapport.

Good Software for Vet Clinics

Reviewed 2 years ago
Pros

eVet is great because you can access it from anywhere. So when our staff are on farm calls they can access the patient's record and have clients pay all off-site. Also, doctors can finish chart notes or look at the schedule for the next day from home.

Cons

The reporting feature is terrible. Reports take forever and then crash. Also, some reports cannot be produced for an entire year.

Vendor response

Thanks for being a great customer and for sharing your feedback with us.

Very Happy User

Reviewed 2 years ago

Great overall. We've had some hiccups, but I would expect those with any program really.

Pros

I like the overall simplicity. I like the layout. I like choosing the colors...

Cons

I think there are features that would be nice to have, but I also have a feeling those features are coming. Evetpractice is constantly making updates and adding functionality, all included in the price.

Covetrus Review

Reviewed 3 days ago

At this point we utilize what we need and don't use any of the fancy things that were created for the large practices.

Pros

Covetrus migrated us from Evetpractice when they created Pulse.

Cons

Internet response time has slowed down. Also seems to slow down even more after our recorded closing time of 5:00 pm. Seems you don't allow any response for the last question about integration other than Covetrus Prescription Management.

Good software

Reviewed 2 years ago

Overall, our experience with eVetPractice has been good and has helped improve the work flow in our office.

Pros

The software is easy to use, easy to input and find information about each client and patient. We love the ability to easily see patient records when out on a farm. The integrations with email, vendors , reference labs and payment processors help make our office run much more efficiently.

Cons

You can't put more than one animal on an estimate. The reports function is lacking. Reports that were standard in other software, such as a monthly revenue summary, doctors production summary, and revenue by species are not available. The way inventory items linked to procedures are handled in inventory is not very good.

All encompassing vet software.

Reviewed 2 years ago

Overall, experience has been good. Easy to learn but would like customizing to be less time consuming.

Pros

Software is pretty much self-explanatory. Easy to find "how-to" articles on using the software. Quick learning.

Cons

Customizing was quite time consuming even with templates offered.

Cornerstone was better

Reviewed 8 days ago
Pros

Emailing clients directly. Prescription refill option. Drop down menu for exam forms.

Cons

Whiteboard is useless. Unable to easily and quickly locate next appointments that are scheduled. Having to log in with both name and password each time - big PIA! Need to go back to pin numbers for log in.

Just Cats Veterinary Clinic honest review.

Reviewed 2 years ago

Very difficult software to work with.

Pros

Whiteboard, callbacks, capability of emailing records quickly, color coded apts.

Cons

Click-ability of software program, after submitting a lab there is no ability to go back to the medical record, a lot of steps to check out, too many things to look through when you enter a package, seeing all inventory items on packages when invoicing.

Turn key and easy to implement

Reviewed 2 years ago

Realistically I couldn’t imagine a simpler or better solution. It’s reliable and makes dunking the practice so much easier.

Pros

Pricing is fair, features are robust, and it integrates with quickbooks for seamless accounting.

Cons

Interface is not ideal for mobile, integration with payment processors is limited, but really good if you use the supported merchants.

Very intuitive, great training support

Reviewed 2 years ago
Pros

Easy to navigate, very intuitive search functions, and the training we received when we transitioned was wonderful

Cons

The wait time for talking to a customer support person has been prohibitive in the past (we are a small but busy practice and can't hang on a phone for 10+ minutes waiting in the queue to ask a question). It seems to be a bit better but would love the wait time to be under 2 mintues

Thanks

Reviewed 4 years ago
Pros

I like that it is fairly easy to use (new hires catch on quickly, even if they have never used it before). I like that there are new updates and that it is always being improved upon. really customizable, and I love the access from anywhere and using my smart phone in a pinch.

Cons

There are a few features I would like to do that we cannot currently (include one package within another, rather than re-creating them each time, being able to edit the names of procedures on an individual basis once it is entered into an patients treatment). Sometimes there is a lot of clicking, when I would like to view certain information all on one screen, I cannot and have to look at things separately.

Vendor response

Thank you, Dr. Ross!

Work in Progress

Reviewed 2 years ago

Appreciate updates that take user feedback into account. Looking forward to the exam form improvements due this fall

Pros

Cloud-based so access from anywhere Ability to control security of who has access Easier functionality compared to Impromed Infinity

Cons

Laborious to enter patient medical information Must download to view/print Unless manually copy/paste - written rx, outside pharmacy rx, specialist reports, Radiographs (dental and body) are single hyperlink on main record view -- this is easily missed when scanning the record for specific information
