I was using CCH Access, and I was hesitant to start using FC. I was pleasantly surprised, it is so much easier to use, and my team is very happy that we made the switch.
The Workflow feature. I'm able to view the projects easily, and sort it.
The Time Tracking is not that robust. It a small icon on the top, and I keep on forgetting to turn it off when I finish a project.

Workflow efficiency, massively reduced time spent going over project/task status, no more team meetings (!) that waste time, quick KPI review for added client value, and daily use for focus on what's due/coming due.
The ease of use, automation (recurring projects), workflow assignments, notes within projects, percent completion bar for quick assessment on project/task status, workflow paired with a KPI functionality that automatically pulls from QBO, notes inside CRM and much more.
Limited KPI printable reports BUT I know this is coming in the future.

It has been an overall positive experience thus far.
My company had been looking for new workflow software and while looking into different options, I came across Financial Cents. After some research and demos, we gave it a try. We are satisfied with the software thus far. I like Financial Cents because they care about clients on an individual level and are open to adding new features upon client’s request. When we began using the software, we appreciated the helpful tutorial videos and we value the ability to chat with [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] and ask questions that come up as well as request feature additions.
It is a challenge for us that the Task View in the workflow has tasks that are not ready to be completed.

It's been a great experience and a relief to get some help in my day-to-day workflow.
Ease of use, easy to read screens, quick learning curve with tons of videos to help you along the way
Scaling a medium to larger organization will be a big ticket price.

I need a workflow solution with document storage and a way to interact with my clients at an affordable price and Financial Cents is able to provide that to me.
The software is easy to use. It has all of the functions I need for my industry. Customer service is great. The price is great.
I haven't come across anything that I don't like so far.

FC was easy to implement, has videos but better yet, customer service was available and more than willing to help or answer any questions. FC has really allowed by company to opportunity to grow!
Great CRM! Easy to setup workflow, videos to help with implementation, recurring tasks with estimated hours so we can compare actual time spent, time tracking. Support is awesome - quick to respond.
Really haven't found anything that I dislike at this point.

My experience has been overall extremely positive. I recently added my first staff member and we need a way to track projects and make sure nothing fell between the cracks. We started with the free trial and were instantly hooked. It has added a lot of value to the business and some peace of mind!
I like that it notifies users when you have a task ready for you. That you can create dependencies on other task and how intuitive the software is. There was no need to watch any tutorials to learn how to use it.
Some wishlists items we have: more client fields (date of birth, etc) that we could use to track our clients better. It would be nice if we were also able to use the software as a CRM tool and not just a workflow tool.

I did a demo call with Support and they were SO friendly! At one point, my baby started crying in the background and they allowed me to pause the call so I could console her. They were so great about it and sincerely understanding of the situation. Excellent customer service!
The software is so easy to use. There are instructional videos on many of the pages to guide you as you go. Even without the videos, it's pretty easy to navigate and figure out. The layout is simple yet the workflow fields can be as detailed as you would like!
So far, I haven't ran into anything that I dislike about the software. It's been excellent to work with.

Our workflow was disorganized at best, being a small firm with an increasingly large book of business. Financial Cents helped streamline our projects and hold our staff accountable to their responsibilities. The communication with the creator of the software was absolutely phenomenal - he fixed any issues almost immediately, and implemented personal suggestions, as well as being available when we needed him for any questions.
Financial Cents has one of the easiest UIs I've ever encountered. It's quick to learn, reasonably priced, and new features are constantly being released with an immense tap into the pulse of what its users require.
Software integration was the biggest hiccup with our firm. Though it does integrate with Quickbooks Online and Xero, there is no easy Quickbooks Desktop integration. I understand that this is increasingly becoming less and less industry standard, but it would have made implementation a little easier.

There are clear and helpful instructions to get started, customer service is very responsive and while there are some things that I don't like, I see how they are actually improving the app and expect it to get better.
It didn't take me long to get started using it once my templates were configured. It's very easy to customize each project for my needs and set it to recur automatically. It has become a valuable tool since the first day I used it with a client project. The workflow view is very helpful and the capacity management feature is useful although not perfect.
Setting up my templates took a long as the only import option is from a proprietary file format for users to share templates so my assistant had to spend days copying and pasting all of my customized templates into the system. The QBO import is very convenient but it imported projects as separate clients which required some cleaning up, I wish I could select which clients to import. The client portal sounds great in theory but I can't use it as I am used to a completely white-labeled experienced and this portal is ugly, not customizable and I have found no way to customize the text of the emails that are sent to clients. I can't use this until they allow me to customize the text and branding.

So far I am pleased with the software and it is doing what I need it to do. I know I need to do some additional tweaking but little by little.
I came about this software looking for a solution for my workflow that would be simple to use and setup and would not cost an arm an a leg. I was up and running in under an hour. The software comes with videos explaining the features and as I said it was easy to setup and having templates ready to go made it easy for me to setup some of my own templates.
I am to new to say what I like least about the software but it seems like every week they are adding new features which in my mind is good.

It has been a great experience. From our introductory call to the Facebook group we have been able to implement this new app fairly seamlessly.
The ability to change the workflow views for each team member so that they can see their own work in a way that suits their style. As management we love the capacity report to see who has time for the new clients we sign on. The client dashboard allows everyone to be able to see at a glance all the important information pertaining to that client. The relationships tab allows us to jump easily between all related businesses and that saves us a ton of search time.
We would like more reports to be available, ie to gather the information that is sitting on the client dashboard (from their about section or the activity section). We would like the ability to use the client chat feature outside of a project - so that they can communicate with us between projects.

I spend nearly a month testing a lot of apps for my business. Based on the free trial and my experience with this and other solutions, I'm glad I settled on Financial Cents. My experience with it is that its easier to use "out of the box" than some of the others and didn't require special training or extra help to get started. The interface is very clean and easy to work with, which I didn't find with...
Having good support was important to me when searching for a workflow solution for my bookkeeping business. There are short, relevant, easy to find tutorials right inside the product. Support is highly responsive and easy to work with. There's live chat and a FB group -- and while the product has been easy to implement and use, I can still find answers to my questions quickly and easily. I can definitely see how this product will improve the way I'm using my time by eliminating unnecessary redundancy day-to-day.
I wish that the tutorial videos would open in a separate window so I can watch the video on a separate screen while testing it out in my app.

Athena has saved us hours of work not only in the electronic document management section of the software but it ha also helped us get more organized as we now just go to one place to find all clients information, bank statements, reconciliations, financial statements, and from there se can share, print, email the documents to the client portal and the client gets notified. saving us time on tel call etc.
After trying many different practice management software Athena workflow is one of the most complete accounting practice management software in the industry right now it even include and electronic document management module that connect DocuSign to give the accountant the ability to have document sign electronically , it also includes a client portal where the client can save there own personal documents and the client gets email as a notification when the accountant send him or her documents for review.
the truth is that this software should sell for a lot more as it includes a lot more features than other softwires of the same magnitude and they are not nickel and diming you.
