Catalog automation with InBetween and InDesign

Pros

InBetween allows us to automate our catalogs with a solution customized to our needs and current work processes. We are able to use an Excel data base for the creation of our catalogs. The data is then applied by our graphics team via InDesign to finalize our documents. This has saved us much time and money once everything was set up. We plan to move on from Excel to a PIM solution in the near future, continuing to use InBetween.

Cons

It is not really a con, but in our case it took us around 6 months (two full-time employees) to setup the automation process in the way we wanted it. The support during this time by the InBetween team was invaluable.
