Pros

This software is very reliable and capable of generating many reports to help us with daily tasks and decisions. Most importantly the support we receive from the team at MIE is excellent.
Customer service is AMAZING. They're all willing and able to work with me to fix any problems that come about and are great at taking input from me as to things that may be helpful.
I loved being able to get a quick snap shop of projects running through the shop and know exactly where we stood in real time. The shop personal were also impressed with its ease of use.

Pros

The ability to streamline production, inventory and invoicing is a huge time saver and really helps with organization. I feel it is a great value for the money that you are spending and it.
We tried several ERP systems for our manufacturing business without a lot of luck. Katana, without question, is one of the best and more affordable options we've come across.
We ran into a few hiccups at the beginning and the support team was very responsive and helpful in helping us remedy our issues.

Cons

Had trouble getting the shipping scanners to communicate with the software.
It is somewhat difficult to train team members, especially those who aren't as experienced with computers and databases.
Some of the bugs do not get fixed in a timely manner. There are bugs when we install updates that are not checked beforehand and causes problems in other areas of MIETRAK.

Cons

It was woefully inadequate for our needs, but traditional MPR software was too complicated and expensive.
I've been working with manufacturing businesses for years, and for years I've lamented Xero's relatively weak inventory management system.
One example is not being able to shift/ctrl click multiple items and drag them around as a group when reorganizing priority rank of manufacturing orders.
