Pros

Having the ability to customize reports, information/data that you'd like to collect combined with great customer service has been a win for our organization.
They are knowledgeable, friendly, patient and professional. It's so reassuring to know that if you need help, there is a live person available to walk you through what you need.
He was extremely patient and pleasant during the training process, which made it fun and easy.

Pros

The features I like best about StarChapter are: ease of administration, swiftness of launch, good value for your money. It's great for smaller associations.
Love the ease of ease and the professional facing website and features. Star Chapter customer service is wonderful to work with.
We can manage our membership much better, find the meeting functionality to be a vast improvement over what we were doing and it does help us manage our finances better.

Cons

Files have to be meticulously formatted within a certain file type, and the set of steps from data gathering to completion is sometimes frustrating and unforgiving of minor errors.
As an aside, I recently had a problem with my database when an update was installed on the Sumac software.
I also don't like that online membership purchases require a log in before purchasing, which is a barrier to getting more people.

Cons

If there’s a problem with either of the following (to name a few), you’ve just caused your client unnecessary setback and frustration. A problem with their payment gateway connection.
Limited layouts, poor user interface, limited customization, expensive.
It is difficult to see what type of membership is for each person and how much they paid and what they paid. There is no integration for webinars.
