- Easy installation and administration - My students have easy access to get it to practice. - Users identify themselves easily with the Software - Ease of integration of different devices - You can adapt languages easily - The server does not need as many resources

Cons

Cannot connect PSTN line or Analogue extensions. Not sure if there are any addons that can be added to allow connectivity of analogue devices.

3CX Soft Phone

This is a great piece of software when working from home. I connect to my VPN and I am able to make and receive international calls from the comfort of my home office.

Pros

Great for making international calls, from any location. I use this on my laptop and connect a bluetooth headset.

Cons

When I am using a bluetooth headset and listening to something (e.g music), if I start the 3CX app up it changes the way sounds comes out the headset. So each need to keep the app close and open it each time i want to make a call. A bit annoying.

Vendor response

Thank you for your comments about our software! About the issue you faced with the headset, our software does not directly affect the headsets, rather it registers to the sound devices the OS is using. Having said this, I would suggest checking the OS sound settings, and also maybe try another headset if you have one available, maybe a wired one to rule out this being somehow related to BT.

Works Great and Inexpensive

3CX is very universal and helps our team work fully remotely. Our phone system works anywhere with a internet connection.

Pros

Mobile App for cell phone which works great, can pick up and transfer calls Fully functional app for the computer Can connect many types of phones

Cons

The interface I think could use a bit of a update, however it is functional and easy to use Audio can sometimes cut in and out

Great interface for my VOIP phone

I like that I can connect any USB headphone to my computer and use it to make phone calls. The 3CX softphone provides great flexibility and functionality.

Cons

I can't think of any negatives. This software functions as expected with great results!

Good value for money - easy setup and use

Pros

For someone who didn't have any experience configuring PBX systems, I have found 3CX to be very simple and easy to learn. The software itself is very straightforward and easy to configure. Also, one of the most helpful things about 3CX is its very active and helpful online community where you can post any questions you might have about the software. We have about 30 extensions and use two SIP providers. I really like they they have mobile applications that you can use to connect to your extension when you are outside of the office.

Cons

No major complaints, although I haven't used any other PBX software to compare it to.
