Cisco jabber for team communication

Instant messaging, voice messaging and conference.

Pros

A simple and effective tool for teams to communicate, share files, videos, instant messages, desktop sharing and voice messages.

Cons

Jabber doesn't provide the ability to search the chat. Sometimes file sharing takes too much time and eventually got cancelled.

Jabber ... "A simply effective product"

At any time we use it to give information to our employees who are online through the chat and it is applied to the whole company.

Pros

Jabber integrates telephone services and thus see who calls and can also dial using the computer, missed calls are seen and voice mails are heard through the computer's email. the user appears in outlook, so we can call or chat with people instead of having a conversation by voice mail, being much better that way.

Cons

We have problems when adding and searching contacts in the chat; On the other hand, Jabber should be connected to my direct number to receive voice mails and respond faster.

Good solution for Colaboration

We use it for telework , it makes very easy the communication with my colleagues when I work from home

The quality of video in video conferences and the integration with Microsoft Outlook makes very easy to start a video call or chat with a contact

Being able to have a contact with team members through a chat is a great feature of this sfotware that makes it extremely useful.

Pros

This facilitates communication both at the voice and video level and is excellent for handling call centers.

Cons

That the technical team must maintain constant monitoring of it and the complex configuration, which affects the user experience.

Cons

- Jabber doesn't have a queue for offline messages which can be a problem in locations with non stable network provider connection.

Collaboration is a great thing, also I can use IP telephony with this app

Cons

It has a habit to freeze from time to time and exit button just closes the GUI and does not kill the process.

Phone calls for days...

I also love the caller ID and call log, comes in very handy.

Pros

It is very user friendly. So easy to use, and have never had any issues with this software not working.

Cons

I have yet to find something I dont like. I have noticed I have to set my audio options up everytime I log in. This is not really a con as it let's me make sure my microphone and speakers are all at the proper volume.

This a very good tool that makes communication at work either voice, text or video quite easy and stress free

Pros

It also allows you to leave a voice mail for colleagues not currently available making communication very easy.

Jabber has been a real pleasure to use over some of the other options out there.

Pros

Here are a few of my favorite features... - Instant Messaging. you can easily add and manage contacts into groups, you can also start a group chat with a predefined contact group. - Like most messengers your status Is visible.

Cons

It can be configured to integrate with Active directory which is a great feature but sometimes when its time to update a password it does not always sync up correctly.

The Desktop call quality is great but the interface still have rooms for improvement Mobile option is a nice feature but voice quality is unacceptable most of the time (My firm actually disabled this feature at the moment due to the quality issuse

Overall the experience is pleasant. Voice quality is good.

- We tried Jabber on Mobile (Android app) but the experience was far from perfect. Voice qaulity was really bad even though the network speed was good - There is always confusion if user has multiple of speakers/headphones.
