Works the way it's supposed to

2018-09-24

Pros

Easy to install and use; does exactly what it's meant to.

Cons

Undifferentiated vs GoToMeeting. To me, they are equivalent.

Cost effective software support tool

2019-01-29

WebEx used to be quite expensive for large organisation which forced us to GoToMeeting. Cisco must have revised their pricing model recently it is now much cheaper in comparison.

Pros

Lower cost comparing to GoToMeeting, yet provide smoother user experience especially in country with slow internet connections.

Cons

1) Request control and take control operations during screen sharing session can be simpler. 2) Launching new meeting should not require to download the same plugin all over again.

Functional But Cluttered

2018-12-12

Pros

It does what it's meant for, works, and doesn't seem to have the connectivity issues we find with GoToMeeting

Cons

The look and feel isn't as clean and straight forward as something like Zoom.

Intuitive

2018-09-25

My experience with WebEx has been smooth. I find it intuitive and easy to use. I appreciate the option to customize my view by arranging the windows in a way that works for me. Not every program has this feature, or it's not as obvious and easy to use as WebEx.

Pros

For me, WebEx is more intuitive than GoToMeeting. For first time users, WebEx is easier to navigate and use.

Cons

There's nothing I don't like about WebEx.

Easy to use and great functionality

2019-01-28

Overall, it is a great service and product that far exceeds competitors such as GotoMeeting. WebEx is much easier to use.

Pros

I enjoy how WebEx can be linked to Microsoft Outlook and added very easily to my Outlook calendar. It's great that I can add my meeting room or a different WebEx room with a simple click of the button and all the instructions and links are provided.

Cons

The video streaming quality can be poor sometimes and it does freeze at some points regardless of internet connection, whether it is wi-fi or hardwired internet.

Good software for meetings

2018-05-07

Pros

I liked the software. Didn't see a huge difference with other software programs but it essentially did the job.

Cons

Again, not finding a differentiator with zoom or gotomeeting or hangouts.

Webex Enterprising

2018-11-13

We previously used Webex and then switched to GoToMeeting due to cost.

Pros

Webex if definitely the most widely known meeting program out there. It definitely works well for large webinars to small internal meetings. One of the biggest advantages is the built in recording and post-meeting publishing for a recorded meeting. This is helpful for post-webinar dissemination to clients, partners or internal team members. For enterprise wide it is definitely the better option.

Cons

Just like Skype or GoToMeeting, unless Webex is given priority of service in your IT setup, you will have bad call quality.

A great alternative to GoToMeeting

2019-02-02

Great alternative to GoToMeeting, appart from the recordings issues and the learning curve to learn the controls is all good, I recommend it.

Pros

It was easy to setup, has a lot of options and plugins like chrome extensions and apps, the video quality was good, same for the audio quality, you can also record the meetings so you can use them later.

Cons

The recordings are not playable directly you have to download a WebEx application in order to play that video, making difficult to insert it in any video editing software, luckily third party tools allow you to convert to a normal video file.

Video Conferencing

2018-05-31

Pros

The software is easy to use to setup and hold online and video conferences. We have used it to video conference with a couple of clients.

Cons

It is a little more expensive of a price than GoToMeeting is and didn't have any additional features that we can use for the additional cost.

WebEx: Still the most-reliable Meetings Software

2018-10-24

Overall very good experience with WebEx and remains the most reliable among the many choices. However, the fact remains most other products can now match WebEx in terms of features and easy of use. Still the best for Enterprise users.

Pros

WebEx, even after tough competition from other players like Skype, Zoom, GoToMeeting, etc, is still the most reliable and trustable software for enterprise collaboration.

Cons

The pricing is on the higher side compared to other softwares in the category. Won't suite SME companies.

Webex is still on top

2018-12-26

I am creating an easy environment for my clients to have virtual meetings. Virtual meetings cut down on face to face travel

Pros

I have had to use Webex, Zoom, Skype, and GoToMeeting throughout my sales career and I feel Webex is best for both the user and guest experience.

Cons

There isn't much not to like It does the job for webinars and conference calls.

Lot if improvements than before but still more room to enhance feature set

2019-03-27

I use Skype, GotoMeeting, Teamviewer, zoom and Cisco Webex based on what the channel partners are using.

Pros

- Online meeting made easy with Webex and application doesnt crash like other platforms - Another good thing is that it provides exact bridge details so you just need to dial the numbers once and no need to enter meeting ID etc.

Cons

- Whenever you mute yourself, it makes a weird noise. Looks like its copied from Skype. - the GUI can be modified and make it simple to see all other meeting participants and sharing can become easy - No need to always turn on the share webcam feed by default.

WebEx for all meeting needs.

2018-01-23

Online collaboration with many tools for true meeting space. Allowing video and record options to facilitate features that are superior to competition.

Pros

Quality is superior to GoToMeeting and any free version of conference software (most free will only have ability to make conference that you need to dial in, no video).

Cons

Pricing can be higher than GoToMeeting and about the same with Skype

Over the Web Meetings!

2018-02-08

Online training sessions, Customer meetings for support purposes, Employee meetings, ect.

Pros

Ability to let others host allows for the meeting to begin without the meeting host being there which is one problem GoToMeeting has.

Cons

Lack in internet browsers compatibility. Also, a it doesn't allow certain file types to be shared in a meeting.

Good collaboration tool for small meetings

2018-07-17

Pros

1. Easy to use once you have used it for sometime 2. Integration with Skype for Business is very useful. You can start meetings immediately using Skype.

Get the job done, most of the time.

2018-03-20

Pros

Webex is a great tool to share your screen and i've tried multiple competitors and this one does seem to work the best of them (GotoMeeting). It's simple, easy to invite other people and pass the baton on who's sharing their screen

Cons

Theres a couple things I think they could improve upon to make this product better. 1. Work out some kinks for Mac users, currentyl you cant pick which screen(if have multiple screens) you want to share. 2. The doc controls that slide up and down a you get close to them get annoying when you get close tot he top, maybe making the dock moveable, since the top doesn't make the most sense especially when you have multiple tabs on a browser - I find myself inadvertently opening the dock when i don't want ti0.

Online Meetings and Screen Sharing

2019-01-02

Best online meeting platform for running meetings.

Pros

I've used Zoom Info and GotoMeeting. WebEx seems to be the best in terms of functionality and simplicity.

Cons

They need to a one click button to send the meeting to others where the recipient is able to click onto the link that takes them directly to the meeting. Without this, people joining a meeting have to enter the meeting number and access code.

Webex is good....but so is the competition

2019-01-18

Pros

There are some small differences between Webex and Gotomeeting in my mind as I have used both.

Cons

One of the features that is missing is the ability to give keyboard and mouse control to someone else. Other than that I can't really think of any other issues.

Web Ex is intuitive meeting software with some awesome features for accountability.

2019-01-30

I use Cisco WebEx currently with clients that are unable to use RingCentral due to IT requirements. I think the tool makes non-power users feel comfortable quite quickly...something that others like Skype for Business seem to lack.

Pros

I love that WebEx makes it easy to share screens, remote control other users screens and run your meeting. Particularly, the fact that you can see it others are paying attention is very useful. The annotation tools are straightforward and I think in general the tool works quite well.

Cons

I find that on slow connections, the tool is not always as reliable as others in its sphere (GoToMeeting, RingCentral).

A great alternative to GoToMeeting

2019-02-26

Pros

I know this isn't a functional aspect of the platform but I do prefer the aesthetics and visuals of Webex over GotoMeeting. It just looks more streamlined and as a user (not presenter) it's easier to navigate the toolbar.

Cons

There are no immediate cons that I can think about as it performs well for its intended purpose.

Not as good as WebEx

2019-03-26

The quality was good but I found it somewhat cumbersome to use. Cisco WebEx is a much more mature product, finely tailored and exceptional quality.

Pros

Cons

I found the interface clunky. Setup was also more difficult than it should be.

GoTomeeting is pretty good

2018-05-25

Pros

I like it much better than Cisco WebEx. We have offices all over the United States and it works flawlessly.

Cons

Could be more user friendly. Things you need are somewhat hidden but probably because developer thinks its things that are not commonly used so to keep the interface clean those things are hidden. Other than making things more out in the open where anyone and everyone will see them without having to click on obscure buttons to get to it, our company uses it all the time and loves it.
