Better off With a Skype Platform

2019-02-07

WebEx Meeting is great for sharing content in a meeting

2018-09-12

WebEx meeting is very comparable to Skype for Business meetings.

Pros

The ability to allow any in the meeting to share their screen and the ease of use after your download the necessary application the first time using it.

Cons

I don't think you can control someone else's screen in WebEx meeting as you can in Skype for Business meetings.

This software has been of huge help in landing an internship.

2018-04-03

Pros

The best thing about this software is the interface. Its very simple and doesn't have any unwanted details which gives a very professional feeling while attending the interview.

Cons

One thing I would suggest an improvement it would be that sometimes there are network issues similar to Skype. If they want to stand apart from Skype and provide a better experience for its users, then it should make sure its better than its competitor - Skype.

The perfect software for presentations.

2018-11-19

Cant imagine going back to Skype after this.

Pros

So I tried a few different options (Skype, Hangouts etc) before I decided on Webex.

Cons

International dial in numbers should be a little cheaper. Right now some of the countries I deal with are really expensive and I want them to find out a way to make it more affordable.

Good collaboration tool for small meetings

2018-07-17

Pros

Integration with Skype for Business is very useful.

Cons

1. It takes some time to start the tool for every meeting. This may be a nuisance for users at times. 2. It's little expensive compared to other tools such as GoToMeeting or tools by Adobe which provide similar features

Meetings like at home

2019-03-15

In general, the experience has been very satisfactory, more than with other tools such as Skype.

Pros

Our company is using WebEx to receive specialized training on Smart Cities courses remotely. It is a very comfortable tool and compatible with most browsers. In addition, it has a very useful screen sharing option and the possibility of saving the sessions for future review.

Cons

We did not like that only the administrator of the session can start the recording, and later it is not immediate ... but there must be a time for that recording to be available.

I love webex for screen sharing capacities

2019-01-31

Really like Webex - better range of features than Skype, Hangouts, and Zoom.

Pros

Fantastic tool for remote work. In the version we used, you could pass remote click and screen control access, so I could for example type into someone else's shared screen to assist in excel formula correction. Has good mobile counterpart.

Cons

Webex is a standalone app that you have to access through specific links, and can be confusing or delay meetings if other people have not used it before.

Cisco Webex Meetings review

2019-02-22

Pros

The great thing about this is similarly to Skype, we are able to talk to another person through internet just like a face phone cam.

Cons

The bad thing about this product is the lack of exposure since Skype is just more renowned.

Better than Skype, but not that great

2019-02-27

Pros

It is better than something like Skype, which can be very glitchy depending on connectivity.

Cons

We used this software for only about a month before realizing it was not going to work for us and switched to Go To Meeting. It doesn't connect regularly, will often struggle to convey audio, and disconnects randomly.

Disappointed

THE Standard

2018-09-19

Often we have heard, "Thank goodness it's not Skype."

Pros

Webex offers the most recognizable professional platform to connect for business.

Cons

There were a few modifications to the original platform, so there was a learning curve when the updates took place. It was easy to navigate once I figured out where everything had moved.

Awesome product for internal communication

2018-09-19

Day to day meetings, quick WebEx calls makes this product very useful in terms of productivity and effective communication with clients.

Pros

Skype has been a long time buddy for most of us for internal communication within our organization.

Cons

Nothing much to say here, just a newer version is little bit changed the way of its features. Earlier it was easy to view profile of any person in your org and also was possible to view his colleagues but now in new version its been removed and I didn't liked that. But the GUI is improved as compared to older.

I Like Skype

2018-12-04

It has been very positive since previously switching from Cisco Webex. I like the chat function, seeing who is online/offline and allowing integration between outlook for automated responses on vacation or out of office etc.

Easy to use, multiple companies have so easy to integrate etc

A great communication application for workplace

2018-11-01

I am quite satisfied as a user of Skype for Business, but i still see some organizations using limited licensed features of Skype for Business and instead use other tools like Cisco WebEx for meeting room setups.

Pros

I used Lync before Microsoft merged it's features with Skype and the new product Skype for Business was created. It's a very nice communication tool for workplace with most of the features i ever need to interact with my colleagues at local as well as remote locations. It has features like audio/video calling, web conferencing, group chat, screen sharing, file sharing etc. I have used various other applications like IBM's sametime, AT&T's Q, Google hangout etc, but none has all the features that Skype for Business provides.

Cons

Skype for Business requires moderately high speed internet and doesn't works great on low bandwidth internet. I have had call drops and communication error issues when connected to low speed internet.

My Review on Skype for Business

2019-01-15

Very much user friendly and I extensively use this application in my Business to chat/call/schedule meetings and record them accordingly. You will also get meeting reminders in skype which we can make sure to attend all the meetings accordingly

Pros

Cost effective enterprise phone system when compared with the other tools like Cisco Webex connect and Microsoft Lync. can integrate contacts list from Microsoft Outlook which will not cause any confusion and saves time.

Cons

The only disadvantage I feel is you have to login to the computer to make calls .You simple cannot use Skype for Business like Desk phones.only the headset is connected to the computer. WIthout logging in one cannot make calls.
