Pros

GoTo meeting is very easy to use and the quality of video and audio is great. I love that I can save my recordings to the cloud.
It is a brilliant and super powerful tool that does not demand any training to use. It has a nice and high definition video quality thus making it best option for conferencing and screen sharing.
It is a good software for teaching purposes, very fast the installation and it is not too expensive. If you have a few students is the best solution.

Pros

The integration of connectiwise with other software is great. This is the reason why I really love this software.
So far it was a breeze to set up and create groups of my PCs I manage. Having the ability to share passes for 3rd party IT help is nice too.
We have been a screen connect/Connectwise Control user since 2012, a brilliant piece of software and pricing is very competitive. It's quick and supports a large number of clients.

Cons

What i dislike is we can add only maximum 100 participants and after completing trial version pricing are very high. It lags while video conferencing and audio syncing problem is also there sometime.
They refused to investigate, even though PayPal reps had thoroughly investigated and had some suggestions. They simply refused to consider the possibility of a problem on their end.
One issue is that any minor interruption in internet connectivity can cause disruption in the call and getting back to the call is a bit of pain.

Cons

Horrible, horrible customer service and support. I was constantly getting false positives.
Product support is disappointing. On the few occasions that I have needed to reach out to support, I ultimately figured out how to correct the problem myself.
The big thing we learned was not to use the unstable branch in production and that for more than 4 years the unstable had never caused us issue.

Overall GoToMeeting is good and an household name but ScreenConnect is bett, cheaper and more brandable for corporate use

Pros

I have used GoToMeeting for many years. It has always been an industry standard when conducting on line meetings or training which i do regularly.

Cons

i found that GoToMeeting locks up sometimes or has other unforced errors that pop up during presentations. i also find that it is not good for doing technical support for customers. Then the company tries to sell you GoToAssist. I found that ScreenConnect is an outstanding competing product and is also totally brandable to my company. I can do both meetings and support with the product

My team connects to 25-30 computers a day and it has never failed to connect. It is extremely fast. We love it.

Pros

So glad we let GoTo Assist. It's fast to connect and I mean fast. The trial download works just as well as the purchased product. Reconnects everytime on reboot. Great value for the cost.

Cons

I can't think of anything negative. If I did it would be a very minor issue because we won't be leaving ConnectWise anytime soon.

Easy remote control and meeting functionality.

Pros

ConnectWise Control fka Labtech ScreenConnect is an easy to use remote control software where you're able to control any device (Windows and Mac) with r without a ConnectWise agent. There's also a meeting option in which you're able to share your own screen to the audience.

Cons

Functionality wise I'm not missing anything. But I hope that with this review more people get familiar with this software. Because when you're invite a customer to a remote control session, they first need to install the screenconnect.exe executable. And a lot of people doesn't recognize this name and sometimes questions the authenticity of it.

Very positive experience, was concerned before the switch but after using it now for almost a year, there have been no complaints!

Pros

Having used a few different tools, we do find ConnectWise Control very easy to use! Clients connect quickly and efficiently and we can provide timely effective support to them!

Cons

We use it for installations and customer support - the only thing we have not figured out is how to take "admin control" for installations so that the user does not have to confirm. GOTO Assist had this function and it was helpful.

Pros

Customer portal and operator portal are awesome. Very easy to tag the remote device and group them by customer

Cons

No support for silent installation. Sometimes our customer requires support and the portal is complicated for him so we launch the installation through our ERP software but sometimes the customer cancels the installation.

Working from home is better than a VPN. Having key clients ready at hand when they have an issues is nice.

Pros

Easy to use. Never seems to break. They have made the installation very easy and are adding new features regularly.

Cons

Meeting portion is less than what others offer but that is not my focus for the product.

There when you need it

I have a few clients that use specialized software that we have written who don't have any in house IT support. I can maintain and update their servers unattended as needed. I used other remote support software in the past that was supposed to work this way, but I often needed someone on that end to run an update first or give me access.

Pros

I like the unattended access a lot. Also, being able to send a quick invite link for a support session is great. IPhone app is great too. I have been able to solve problems on customer's server from my phone sitting in an airport and not even have to break out my laptop.

Cons

The meeting function is my least favorite. It works ok, but we already have Skype for Business for that.

Its' ease of use and the ability to segregate sessions into different groups. I also like the actual interface. The layout is very simple but useful.

Cons

No ability to record a meeting for later use/playback. I was unable to get the annotation tools to work.

Pros

Software like ConnectWise have become increasingly more necessary. ConnectWise gets it done! It is easy to use. Easy to implement with VPN or other platforms. Easy to deploy to people using their own systems, ie apple, hp, samsung, etc.

Cons

Requires pretty good internet on all sides of video conferencing to get a solid meeting in but usually isn't too bad.

We use it for unattended access to servers and workstations. Literally never use the meeting or on demand remote support functions.

Pros

Price, basic functionality works well. The software is reliable and decentralized. No hardware requirements.

Cons

I wish it had several features that have been in the "Planned" stage for over 2 or 3 years. Seams like they focus more on easy tasks for improvments, then really adding core features. Some examples are being able to transfer files without logging into the computer, interactive CMD prompt, being able to look at installed programs/updates/drivers/etc. These are all very usefull when your trying to do admin tasks in the background without interupting the users.

Good Remote Control Package

Overall Connectwise is worth a look. I became a customer back when they were named ScreenConnect, and it was one of the few self-hosted packages. I use remote software primarily to support my software clients with installation and operation issues, and don't really provide any sort of hardware or OS support.

Pros

Connections to remote machines are fast and reliable, and I like that the host interface allows me to show multiple monitors in a single window - makes switching between them quick and effortless. The host gives you all the tools you typically need for remote assistance. I use remote software most often to help my software clients with installations, bugs, etc, and Connectwise works very well for that

Cons

The file transfer process seems to work sporadically, and I would occasionally end up using FTP methods to move files to the remote machine. The Meeting feature is not as smooth as others in the same class, and I often had to spend a good bit of time assisting my remote meeting participants with setup.

Powerful remote assistance / meeting software

All in all I am happy I switched from GoToAssist.

Pros

It has a lot of features competitors don't have, like remote printing, toolbox and has Meeting capabilities build in as well as remote assistance. You can upgrade to a Meeting from a remote session. Drag and drop file transfer from host desktop to client. Multi-monitor support is decent, but could be better.

Cons

No conference call feature for the Meeting service. Does not leave a remote Icon behind on the user's desktop for future support sessions. This requires a user download and install the software every time. Graphics / screen sharpness is a little fuzzy in some resolutions.

Lifesaver - Good for Remote Support and Hosting Meetings

This has been a very positive experience. We have a lot of bandwidth and want to control our communications where practical. This has given us the control and capabilities we wanted.

Pros

I like the fact that the meeting hosting and support options are accessed from the client side through the same screen.

Cons

Sometimes the next connection option is confusing for end clients.

Most Well Rounded Remote Access Software

I have been using Connectwise Control for a very long time. I self hosted this software for many years but with my server's pending failure I switched over to the Connectwise hosted product and haven't looked back. Our company has been able to reduce the amount on-site time required because we can remotely troubleshoot issues prior to arrival, not to mention fix issues remotely and eliminate the need for travel at all. Internally we use the Meeting function regularly for our remote employees.

Pros

Ease of usability, Ease of management, Well Rounded where it has Attended Clients, Un-Attended Clients and Meeting functionality, Ease of Customization,

Cons

Audit Log Queries, Mobile devices can be cumbersome, Connectwise Manage and Connectwise Control Un-Attended Client interaction

It saves me travelling costs as I don't have to be on site to repair or provide support to my clients, thus saving me money and time.

Pros

Controller meetings start rapidly.Specialist establishments rush to finish.On premise server refreshes rush to finish, commonly in under 10 minutes.Impromptu help meetings are natural and simple to begin

Cons

the controller task bar bugs out more than it ought towhile doing a far off meeting from the help tab, possibly a few times it prompts for adminstrator access when this entrance is required. more often than not it simply dark screen when UAC input is required.it doesn't scale well when multiple screens are engaged with a far off meeting

save money, support clients right away. Is way better than doing face to face support since for that the customer needs to wait. With screenconnect you can support them right away.

Pros

Is support easy to use and customers can use it easily. Love the fact that you can send a link that already has the password invented.

Cons

I wish there will be a way to have multiple people call one number when having a meeting. Right now you can only call one number.

Everything has been leagues ahead of the competitors that I have used, performance and features.

Untended Remote Access is the best feature. To get this combines with the other items the software does, would cost a fortune with any competitor, specifically TeamViewer. The price point of this software is unmatched.

Pros

The abilities: unattended remote access is a huge bones, but still having the abilities to host a meeting and access a customers computer is great.

Cons

Moderately confusing sidebar once you have launched the screen share potion of the software. Nothing is intuitive, you have to work a little to figure out how to use it, UI could be improved in my opinion. smoother.
