Jive has been super easy, extremely reliable, and at half the price of RingCentral, unbeatable in my opinion!
A lot easier to set up than RingCentral. Feels new and Fresh
Doesn't have a ton of integrations like RingCentral does.

The app is absolutely terrible. It takes forever to load. It constantly locks up, especially when connected to Bluetooth in my car. So far, i am very disappointed.
Price. It was pitched as a rival to ringcentral which i had before, but it isn't.
the app is terrible and your system for faxing is also terrible

Customer service was great. The system was very easy to use, once you get used to it. At first seemed like a great value for the money.
I was a little mislead/uninformed. I only need the one line, but I did want a desktop phone and the app on my cell phone. I ordered/bought a new desktop phone from Jive just a few weeks after starting my service with them. I was not informed that i was going to be charged a fee for an additional line just because i wanted a desktop phone. The features and functionality from Jive is lacking and well....behind. For about some dollars more a month i switched to RingCentral and i have to app installed on my desktop. I have to app installed on my cell phone. I was able to switch the desktop phone over to RingCentral. I have SO many more features with RingCentral than I did with Jive for some more dollars a month.

For the most part is has been good, it has been nice to be able to use our cell phones, desk phones, and soft phones. It makes it really easy to be able to business from anywhere which is exactly what we were looking for. It's also great to have transparency in pricing, where we don't get charged extra for using our cell phones. This is key as we may not always be in the office, but it is great to be able to be available from anywhere.
Flexibility - our office is not one location, we have many offices and it now makes it easy to work anywhere with Jive.
I don't like how you have to change the plans through dial plan. Previously we used RingCentral and if we needed to change the call forwarding, their system was very easy to do that. It could all be done through the schedules, which makes more sense in routing, rather than having to go through the dial plan. I feel like it's a bit more complicated.

Jive is so much simpler than it’s more expensive, less customer oriented counterparts.
Jive is what Ringcentral used to be: an easy behind the scenes portal for administrators to easily manage phone trees, voice messages, and digital faxes. Jive allows you to create actual ‘click and drag’ style phone systems. The customer service team is relatively local, well informed, and has ideal follow through. Jive beats it’s competitors in functionality and price. The Apps they offer are great for doing distance work and responding to voice messages out of the office.
The digital fax function requires you to use an email account and copy paste destination info into your ‘to’ field. This process was rarely convenient.

I really like them. Being on the IT side they are always very helpful and have assisted me in solving issues (or just done it themselves). The reliability was shaky at first but we have had the service go down in months and months vs Ringcentral where it would go down a few times a month even if only for a few minutes. The admin side PBX takes some getting use to, but once you do its a breeze to set up new users and change features, but when you are learning something new, make sure you take note of all the steps needed to set things up, because you might forget the next time. Though this might be more my fault as this is my first time working with phones in depth. Though they need some improvement on the web/app side vs RC. They are far superior in ease of use and reliability.
The customer service is great and I always get help when I call in which is a lot. Everything is very easy to setup for new users.
Jive Web isnt great. There are (or were) a lot of bugs with it. We have some users who show they have messages or vms when they dont. I have contacted support about it and they have been very helpful but havent really found a fix. The texting option was in beta but isnt anymore? (not sure) so it works fine for the most part but acts strange sometimes and will stop working. I guess reporting is in beta as well and that is difficult to understand though this is in the PBX admin side vs Jive Web.

Great quality VoIP platform. Completely unifies all of our communications.
Fully featured, works out of the box, simple easy to use interface, works with any SIP based hardware.
The only con I have foudn so far is it doesn't work with video end points which might be deal breaker for some. There work around is to use there meeting software which I believe is powered by goto meeting. There meeting software is a nice included feature but not a replacement for 2 video end points.

RingCentral Office is very helpful and convenient to connect to people in different parts of the world provided you have good internet connectivity.
It's a pretty straight forward application that lets you connect calls to anyone in any country as it uses internet for calling.
Since it uses the internet for calling and during the call if you experience little slowness on the network then the calls get disconnected or you may face issues reconnecting the call again.

I'm not very pleased with RingCentral. I've used easier platforms.
It helps me connect with clients to give a screen shared presentation. It gets the job done. Straight forward.
Calls drop. Screen freezes. Has kicked me out of meetings. We cant customize the email invitations. End users usually complaint about launching the meetings.

Connection is above average and wide range of device options is convenient.
The flexibility of being able to use connect to the phone service via landline, computer or cell phone app.
The landline phones that you can use to connect to their services are limited, not just any phone will work and they don't send you a free conversion tool. To buy one of their phones is expensive, and when I called to see if they could send me a list of refurbished phones that were available to purchase, I never received anything.

Ring was pretty simple and easy to use. We continue to use this.
While during these crazy time, Ring made it possible to still have meetings. It was easy to connect and listen in on meetings.
Could be faster and user friendly for all. Had to re download a few times. But overall easy to get use to.

The interface and usage are very intuitive. It is very easy to use without too much hassle.
The issue that I found with the tool was that anybody having link to my personal conference room can connect to it anytime. This might be a little security concern in some cases.
