JoinMe is a good entry level progra up until the need for quality and reliability outweigh cost

Used daily for 1-2 years

Pros
The software is very well priced, allowing for low cost access to collaboration tools such as screen sharing

Cons
The audio quality is inconsistent, and at times is very poor quality. The screen sharing component regularly experiences significant screen lag, rendering it useless for meetings that rely upon content that changes regularly.

The ability to customize our meetings is extremely helpful due to all of the different video conferencing types we do. Being able to screen share with 10 feeds is great for our team, and the low cost is a big plus!

Pros
Join.me is a great tool that allows easy videoconferencing, screen sharing and conference calls with a lot of features that can allow total control from the presenter side. Join.me is also very affordable with many different pricing options for users.

Cons
The lite plans are pretty bare in options, but with simple upgrades you get a lot of benefits. Also, some clients feel uncomfortable that there are no passwords protecting the call -- even with the "knock" functions. It also seems that some monitors don't get a great display if they're a higher resolution.

Great. Not too many bad times, but it can tend to break up during the important parts of meetings.

Pros
Comparing it to Zoom or GoToMeeting, it works about the same and is significantly cheaper if you're shopping around for this type of software.

Cons
I didn't like that it tends to skip out on audio and video occasionally, but overall it still works really well for the price.

Overall, we like this software and continue to use it. However, we would not recommend join.me for teams or individuals who would only use it infrequently due to the pricing. For frequent users, it's definitely worth the cost, and it looks and feels very professional and highly functional.

Pros
Join.me makes video conferencing and screen sharing very easy. We've used it as an internal tool for team meetings and as a tool to facilitate meetings with clients and prospects as well. It has a lot of different functions and features which make it a great, professional tool.

Cons
The pricing is a bit high considering there are cheaper (or even free) tools that have similar features. Join.me is certainly designed nicely and has some good features for businesses, but for small teams or people who don't need this resource very often, the pricing isn't worth the usage.

Our tech guys decided to give this software a try. We found it easy to use and fun to play with. The meetings went smoothly. However, we ultimately decided to go with a competitor due to cost issues. Personally, I would recommend this program for those who can afford it. The software is good and a good value for the price. But my business is very small and every cost must be looked at closely. I had little choice but to go elsewhere.

Pros
We found this software relatively easy to use. It has multiple packages with a variety of features. The customizable backgrounds were fun and the our meetings ran smoothly.

Cons
We weren't pleased with the cost. Each user has to pay a monthly fee and the lesser packages tend to be insufficient, leaving only the more expensive options.

We use to use WebEx but moved to join.me due to the ease of use and massive cost reduction. The ability to provide our customers with local dial-in numbers instead of expensive tool free numbers saved us a lot of money.

Pros
Ease of set-up, support and low cost.

Cons
Clients sometimes find it difficult to get into a call, you could make the join call option more prominent as they often start the download process.

Pros
Join.me has been pretty reliable for our company. We have great results when we are able to connect to the client.

Cons
Pricing can be a little steep but still cheaper than the rest of the products on the market. Also the clients still receive ads after the meeting ends.

Good Concept But Lacking Features and Ease for the Money

Overall, Join.Me has been a good alternative to some of the larger, more expensive screen-share and conference calling programs, however, if you're in the market for more features at a similar price point, I'd recommend Zoom. Join.Me has allowed our team to collaborate, but the cost to value is not there.

Pros
Join.Me is an easy software alternative to Go To Meeting. We most liked that you can share your screen and record the notes of the meeting at the end - this is very helpful for our small association chapter.

Cons
This software does not work on a Chrome tablet. Don't even bother buying it if you solely work from the road and use the cloud tablets! Join.Me is not offering much for the money you spend. We purchased on a yearly plan, so we thought we'd save some money this way but we're finding the value is low for what you're paying. First, you can share the screen, but often, we will have glitches where the screen won't share on a mobile device such as a phone or tablet. Also, having to let meeting attendees in after they "knock to join" is disruptive and challenging for the person who is leading the meeting. Often, people are late joining conference calls and it's frustrating to have to stop what you're doing to let them in. It makes no sense. Lastly, we find that the price isn't comparable to other systems that offer far more features - such as Zoom.

It has revolutionized our ability for remote desktop support and our entire team uses it all day every day to help others with their computer issues. HIGHLY recommend.

Pros
I will always, always recommend anything by LogMeIn. I've been so impressed by this company. JoinMe and LogMeIn Central are AMAZING and by far the best software for remote desktop support and helping people with their computer issues. A little pricey, but faaaar beyond their competitors so they're worth it!

Cons
The price. It's worth it, but I still wish it was cheaper. If it was I'd have a private account for myself just to help friends and family with their computer issues.

JoinMe reduced our Conference Call charges

We subscribed to JoinMe to take advantage of cheaper conference calling. Most companies charge you a per person per minute charge, but JoinMe is a flat fee no matter your usage. We also like using the screen sharing feature for committee meetings and presentations.

Pros
Great value for the money, your conference number and ID do not change

Cons
JoinMe only offers a hand full of phone numbers/area codes for the conference call feature. This means that if someone calls from a landline the call might result in long distance charges.

Join.Me for the Independent Contractor

Overall, it is a decent program for the investment level, but if the price goes up again this year, I will absolutely switch to another program. It has nearly doubled in price since I first started with them a few years ago. At this time, I would recommend it to other contractors and small businesses, based on current pricing, value for the dollar and ease of use.

Pros
I love being able to create webinars and allow my clients to take control of my screen or they can share their own. I am easily able to get through information by sharing my screen and data with them. It is one of the most convenient & easiest to use resources available to me to stay connected with my clients no matter where they are located.

Cons
1. Audio issues - if a client wants to call in via their computer, the audio is normally very poor and often they must call in on the phone line instead, because the computer audio tends to have issues like reverberations/echo/feedback. 2. Audio issues - not all parties can hear everyone clearly. I can typically hear everyone just fine, but sometimes 2 callers will not be able to hear each other loud & clear. 3. Google Calendar - I often have to disable and re-enable it to have it show up in my calendar
