Life saver

Reviewed 3 years ago

Besides the above-mentioned disapointment with the subscription changes, I honestly cannot run my business without MailButler! I am a night owl and tend to do most of my work at night, after business hours. I don't want to encourage clients to email me at all hours expecting a response, so the ability to snooze/schedule emails to appear and send during my business hours is a life-saver! It's also amazing to be able to see if my emails have been opened, and the time they were opened. This has helped to resolve some conflicts in the past. All-in-all, I would highly recommend MailButler to all night-owl entrepreneurs like myself. It will save so much time and brain space to let MailButler do the heavy lifting.

Pros

Send-later allows me to schedule emails during my business hours. The ability to see if the email has been opened is an asset. Works with all the emails on my server system. Super easy to use within the MacMail system.

Cons

I originally purchased MailButler when it was called "Send-Later" and the scheduling was all it did. The Send-Later software was sold at $25 for life, but within a year of me purchasing it, was bundled within a subscription (MailButler) and the Send-Later software was no longer updated. I now pay per month almost the same that the "for life" software cost.

The add-on to Mail that I've been waiting for a long time!

Reviewed 9 months ago

Having to manage several email addresses in connection with my various functions, Mailbutler allows me to have a vision and a fast and efficient follow-up of all my mail.

Pros

THE essential complement for managing emails. In one "click" an impeccable view of mail tracking.Easy to use and many essential features.

Cons

A French version of the software would be very welcome. Better integration in Microsoft Outlook. The "Business" version at a more affordable price for non-profit organizations would be very welcome.

Vendor response

Thank you for sharing your valuable feedback with us. We appreciate your suggestions for a French version of our software and improved integration with Microsoft Outlook. We're continuously working to enhance our offerings and provide a better experience for all users. While we strive to balance our pricing with the value we provide, we understand your point about affordability for non-profit organizations. We'll take your input into consideration as we refine our plans. Your insights help us shape our roadmap and improve our service.

Easy to use mail tracking system, much improved over the years

Reviewed 9 months ago
Pros

I really enjoy how easy to track my emails (and clicked links) - plus Mailbutler makes it simple to follow up on my emails sent if I don't receive a reply. I appreciate the ability to add notes from conversations for easy access for future reference. The contact feature is great for understanding your communication history and their interaction with your emails. I wish it were included in lower-price tiered plans, however. I appreciate the enhancements since I started using the product - it keeps getting better to use.

Cons

The only thing I feel is missing is a dashboard to track open rates or a template used to help analyse what messaging is working better than others

Vendor response

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We greatly value your suggestion for a dashboard to track open rates and template performance analysis. Your input is valuable in guiding us towards enhancing our features to better meet your needs. We're continually working to improve Mailbutler, and your insights play a crucial role in shaping our development roadmap. We appreciate your support and hope to bring more valuable features to you in the future.

Helps me sleep better at night!

Reviewed 3 years ago

I've been using Mailbutler for many, many years. Customer support has always been prompt, courteous, and helpful. Overall, it's a very decent company to deal with.

Pros

The email tracking feature is the most important feature for me - I deal with a lot of people who infringe my copyright and in the past some have tried to deny that they had ever received emails from me. I've been able to prove that they've not only opened emails, but actually clicked on the links in the emails as well, and even showing what browser/mail package and operating system they were using...

Cons

Sadly, the email tracking is the only feature of the software that I rely on - and for that purpose, I have to be on the Business package, which is expensive for me as an individual - so the price is expensive, but there is nothing else available that comes close to the tracking facility Mailbutler offers. I was disappointed at having to upgrade to the most expensive subscription just to retain that facility, as it had previously been included in the lower tier, albeit in limited quantities - but still suitable for my needs.

Swiss knife for email

Reviewed 9 months ago

Overall, the product is solid and support is responsive.

Pros

I like the email tracking and scheduling features. I write a lot of emails late at night, however I don't want those being sent at that time, scheduling emails for the recipient sugggested time means I can catch them when they are most active and I am able to keep track of when they have opened it and clicked on any links I add.

Cons

I think that the signature feature is lacking as I use a custom html signature and this isn't supported. From the features/ideas board, it seems this was a feature before, but they removed it for some reason. I also think that it is slightly expensive for what it offers, but there are not many alternatives out there doing this.

Vendor response

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the signature feature not currently supporting custom HTML signatures. We appreciate your feedback and understand the importance of this feature. We'll definitely consider your input as we work on refining our offerings in the future. Regarding the pricing, we strive to provide a competitive value for the features and services we offer. We truly value your insights and are committed to improving our service based on user feedback. Thank you for your support and for being part of the Mailbutler community.

Mailbutler lets me know if/when someone opens an email. Gives me time to 'undo' before sending.

Reviewed 6 years ago
Pros

I love the ability to track important emails. Ever wonder if someone opened you email? Mailbutler let you know when someone opens the email, which is great, no more guessing when to follow up. I also like big able to choose the amount of time before an email gets sent. How many time have you hot send, notice a typo, then want to take it back? I set mine for 5 seconds after I hit send, that gives me one more chance to stop the email from being sent. Invaluable.

Cons

The cost per month is a bit steep for this user. They do have a very limited "free" version that gives you a handful of the main features per month. Great to "test drive" the program, its more of a tease than anything else.

The Coolest Most Professional Email App for Mac Mail

Reviewed 2 years ago

I use Mailbutler to have a professional image for my emails and for branding purposes as well as to monitor email opens.

Pros

1. I love the signature feature that allows corporate logo insertion and the social media links are button based rather than ugly links. 2. Allows you to schedule emails and track when it was opened and by whom and the links clicked.

Cons

The email open tracking and link click tracking are expensive. Definitely more expensive than an autoresponder.

Generally very good, but problems with Mac Big Sur

Reviewed 3 years ago

Great until the Mac Big Sur update. Then the tracking checkmarks stopped appearing in my preview window. Customer service told me that they have been trying to fix this for a month, and want me to be patient... .

Pros

I love the tracking that tells me if someone opened my mail and/or if they clicked a link in my mail.

Cons

The price. It's very expensive on a yearly basis, and if they're not careful Apple will eventually just provide the same functions for free!

Pros

The ability to know exactly when someone opened and read the email without asking for a read receipt is so good, it allows you to act dynamically in pursuing leads, chasing responses and more... the ability to add custom signatures to multiple email accounts makes life so easy and the Schedule send is the icing on the cake

Essential for Apple Mail

Reviewed 5 years ago
Pros

I bought it so that I can tell when people read my emails without having to request a read receipt, which continue to flood your inbox. It provides that information exceptionally well. I also live for the "snooze."

Cons

I need this product on my phone as well. I have to draft an email and wait until I get to my computer so I can send it, otherwise I won't get the read notifications. I would love to know about my links, but that feature is too expensive. I use bitly.

Are Your Emails and Email Links Being Seen and Read?

Reviewed 3 years ago

Again as I have indicated, users not in a business environment would not be able to purchase the professional edition as it is expensive

Pros

Mailbutler is an amazing piece of software. Whenever I send an email or an email which has links, I can be notified by Mailbutler that the email has been read and if the receiver has opened any links that I have included in my email. There are many other features to this software that I can use when necessary like delaying when an email can be sent.

Cons

The Mailbutler Business is the professional side of Mailbutler which is extremely expensive for users who are are not in a business environment but would like to use some features in the business application.

It works perfectly, but I think that there are other more cost effective ways to do what this software offers

Pros

It integrated easily with my native mail app to fill a gap between what Microsoft Outlook would do and features offered in Apple Mail eg delaying send, setting up templates,

Cons

The limits on the number of actions in each level didn't really fit with my business and I found it to be more cost effective to just buy Microsoft Office and use outlook

Great but disappointed in the free trial disappearing

Pros

The ability to schedule a mail send is beyond value sometimes. Apple mail has nothing to compare. Tracking is also very useful

Cons

The price.. for such a small business as mine the cost to schedule a mail send is just too much to justify. That's all I really need and the free plan was ample for me but now that it's going I'll have to use Gmelius which I really don't want to do.

Great software, too expensive.

Reviewed 3 years ago
Pros

All the features! Really cool and necessary tools, that apple mail lacks.

Cons

The price. I believe it's hard to defend the pricing of this piece of software with alternatives like spark etc. Realising that spark sells your data. I believe what would be cool would be to either drop the price significantly to maybe 49 euro a year or a high one-time fee with lifetime support.
