We complain about the bugs we experience with RingCentral service regularly, but ultimately there are limited options for VOIP soft phones with business ready feature set and RC seems to be top of the heap.
Pros
Decent feature set for business users, including virtual assistant call routing and automatic call recording.
Cons
Call recording can be finicky, and doesn't function consistently.

Our customers continually remark that our presence and appearance is that of a much larger company - they are amazed that a small company can have such features as the automated attendant, directory listing, audio conferencing, faxing, etc that we have.
Pros
The setup is quite straight forward but there are a number of advanced options for which users should look at the help files (which are quite helpful). Voice mail, and fax options for each users, as well as opening hours, also easy to set up.
Cons
The audio conference and the video conferencing are separate applications.

Make sure your internet speeds are high and that you can handle the VoIP.
Another selling point was the integration of Ring Central Rooms which powers all of our conference rooms and is a really great tool.
Pros
It includes all form of communication: Messaging with Glip, Video conferencing, and standard audio calls.
Cons
A large meeting license (100 or more users on a meeting) is static and cannot dynamically move between accounts.

Pros
Cloud-based - no hardware to deploy or maintain; remote administration via web, smartphone or tablet; smartphone and softphone apps; voice/mobile/fax with a single phone number; powerful call routing features; remote accessibility for users; call queues.
Cons
Occasional call quality issues (some must be expected when using anything network based); some missing enterprise-level features like call forwarding from the phone itself, call pickup, caller ID isn't preserved when transferring a call.

Have a rock solid network, enable QOS if possible, ability to maintain your own firewall is a huge plus (sometime you are at the mercy of your ISP). Determine what your current phone system does now and what features your needs are before you commit to buying anything. RingCentral might not have the exact same features you want but you may be able to find workarounds like we did.
Easy communication with our caregivers and clients.
Pros
It is very easy to use and is a great tool to be in contact with our clients and caregivers.
Cons
I would have to say though that the faxing feature could be upgraded just a little, making cover pages can be a little confusing.

saved some of our sales guys time with logging calls on Salesforce (SFDC)
Pros
- liked that it had Salesforce (SFDC) integration - looked easy to setup and use; customization for extensions - provides a messaging tool, video conferencing, an all in one solution
Cons
- sfdc integration is weak; calls are not logged and click to dial does not work for many employees - customer support is the worst.

It adds a professional element to any small business especially when you purchase a custom greeting recorded by a voice talent.
Pros
Professional custom greetings for all incoming calls, call recording/monitoring, mobile and computer apps for a seamless experience.
Cons
A little pricey for what it does, and every now and then you'll experience poor call quality.

We needed to be able to handle a large flow of incoming calls with call routing chains and reports on the number of calls received and missed.
Pros
We were able to set up fairly complicated call routing chains and make frequent updates to the system as staff came and went.
Cons
I experienced a lot of glitches with RingCentral. Transferring calls often failed and dropped the call instead.

Don't use the Google sync option because you can't remove old numbers.
We used them 2 years ago and found the support iffy, the meeting app buggy and unreliable and the price expensive. This time around we got a price reduction, app was completely redone and is great, and support has been significantly improved
Pros
All features in one simple app, CRM integration
Cons
can't jump directly from a phone call into a video conference with all participants

I have used RingCentral for almost 15 years with no significant outages or issues in that time - and with fully integrated voice features, texting, and audio - video conferencing bridges built into the service my complete Unified Communications is in one fixed price monthly bill.
Pros
No on-premise equipment needed other than desk phones, this fully Voice over IP (VoIP) service is completely managed from a web portal for provisioning users, managing their services, voicemail, etc.
Cons
Enhanced Caller ID (with name) should be available on all levels of service.

The ability to do everything we need from one platform - calls, faxes, conference calls.
Pros
This system allows us to connect our lines with our cell phones, send faxes straight from our desktops, have several conference calls going at once, check voice mails from our phones or email.
Cons
Nothing to do with the software but when our internet goes our at work so does the phone lines, so if your internet goes down a lot be prepared.

My biggest complaint with RC is that they removed a feature that was absolutely critical and replaced it with something worthless.
Pros
They support complex business rules, call routing, etc.
Cons
I seem to miss calls frequently - my phone doesn't ring but someone leaves a voice message.

Eventually the calls were placed and the ringcentral app did work, but not very well, I wonder if the video conferencing is as bad or maybe even better, being that a tablet would be designed for video calls over phone/audio calls
Pros
The phone was easy to use and did work on a tablet 5at belonged to someone else when my tablet was missing and/or lost
Cons
The phone didn’t work that well, the connection was bad, static and the calls I initially placed were dropped

Also a voice to text preview on the recordings would really help alot in finding the right conversation.
Pros
Recordings work, they will also auto download to a linked cloud storage service and you can easily search recordings from the call log.
Cons
If the call had been transferred or if the caller made multiple calls that day sorting the information out will be a process.
