Fabulous product... as soon as it fixes its teething problems

It does certain things very well, but many features feel half completed with missing options that I personally feel should be "assumed and industry standard".

Pros

All-in-one interface. Reporting options that are manager friendly.

Cons

When something doesn't work, it doesn't in a big way and getting resolution can be difficult and (more importantly) time consuming.

One Dashboard For All

Great support and works a lot better than the other asset management tool we used in the past.

Pros

Very easy to use and everything needed is on the dashboard. I picked it up rather quickly after a brief tutorial

Filtering certain values is a little tricky at first.

Overall, its a great platform and its very, very detailed. Just vast full of account info in it.

Pros

Easy support reporting.

Cons

Some menus dont retain prior information selected when you go back to prior page. Wish information/selections would retain on the page to avoid re-selection your options.

Used to be better. Not so intuitive anymore.

Pros

Usage reports are useful when evaluating what is expired or no longer needed.

Cons

It would be nice to be able to click on ticket and open or check on an open order or ticket from the list on the Dashboard instead of having to hunt for it.

Persistent Dialing Issues

Instead of creating efficiencies, I've been handed off to several other people and had to explain my issues all over again; each time the VCom representative said "Oh, I should've read the notes."

Pros

[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] have been great to work with.

Cons

I would rather deal directly to the provider than a third party. I feel that it has slowed the progress on finding a solution to my phone issues.

Cost Savings and Ease of Use

We strongly recommend vCom's vManager for any company, small or large, to help manage Telecom services, reduce cost, and eliminate wasted time.

Pros

With an easy to use interface and support from all of the vCom staff, vManager makes our jobs easier and has reduced our invoice processing time from 7 hours to 15 minutes!

Cons

The only Con has to be that since we don't utilize all of vCom's offered services, some tabs display no information.

Amazing Software

Our company was using multiple spreadsheets for all our circuit inventory by all different people. There was not a centralized location housing all our Telecom circuits. vCom has solved that issue and we are working on updates to our inventory daily.

Pros

As for the ease of use if there is something I am not understanding there are plenty of resources offered to assist. Live assistance and webinars.

Cons

The only feature that is sometimes hard is the unmanaged inventory.

Was integration with existing business processes easy?

Pros

There is nothing about this software, or vendor relationship that has worked even remotely close to right. This entire relationship has been a complete over-promise and never-deliver. Unfortunately, zero stars is not an option.

Cons

So we figured out real quick that we needed to remove vCom from the negotiating side, and focus them on the phone-line consolidation.

Overall, I think that vManager is a fantastic tool. It allows me to drill into circuit details, orders, and invoices.

Pros

Honestly, trying to consolidate the same information across all of the areas would be a huge undertaking. vCom has given us a tool that, in my opinion, is critical in managing our infrastructure details.

Cons

Initially the separation of the mobility functions to the rest of the solution was an issue.

The only tool you need to manage IT and telecom spend!

I managed an 8M communications spend at a global Biotech for many years. We struggled immensely with first getting a handle on inventory, figuring out where we spent our money and on what, and consolidating to a better operational model. Without vManager, I would bet there would still be lines in service that were no longer in use the company would STILL be paying on! Not to mention we were able to replace our entire network, upgrade bandwidth and save over 2M YOY. It's not just the software, its also the entire vCom team you get with it!!

Pros

The ability to slice and dice your spend into whatever category senior leadership wants in order to provide a full spectrum of spend. It is easy to use, provides priceless insights into categories that often plague IT leadership when asked to break down costs, customer support is second to none!

Cons

I would really like to see the platform continue to expand further globally. It does some of it fantastic. I think there is more work to be done for organizations that need that competitive advantage to purchasing in global locations
