Knowing if someone has received an email, or re-opened it, is a truly valuable piece of information from a sales and support perspective. Email has become one of the least reliable forms of communication, but it remains essential to doing business. Spam detection software is junk. We have found no spam detection software that is reliable and turn off anything to ensure nothing is missed. It can even...
We've been using it for several years and were notified recently by Yesware that the version that supports local versions of Outlook 365 is being eliminated. We were told that Microsoft is limiting the ability of developers to use plugins for PC-based Outlook, so they are dropping support for that in August 2020. We use our own ISP for email, using POP/SMTP mail, not a cloud-based environment hosted by Microsoft or Google. What we liked about it was its simplicity once set-up, and the ease of telling whether or not someone opened the email sent, and where that person was located.
The support organization was Zendesk, a third party. We found that every time we'd have a question or issue they were very responsive, but it took forever to get resolved. Most of the time we'd just live with whatever it was we were dealing with.

The fact that you can track and add reminders.
Wasn't particularly clear about how you pin it inside of Outlook.

We weren't sure if some of our clients were getting any value out of our monthly reporting emails so we started using yesware to track if they were even opening. It helps inform us on whether to continue that for all clients or not.
it was a little difficult to set up on mac outlook but we got it.

The onboarding was really, really simple and the ability to use the software without leaving Outlook was awesome
The Salesforce integration was kind of wonky, and we had some issues troubleshooting it so we had to disable that feature, which was tough

Though it has its bugs and lots of features made for salespeople, I namely pay for it to use its email tracking tech. For my business purposes, this the most needed feature and since using email tracking, it's hard to remember what biz email was like before.
I like the fact that unlike most email tracking programs, Yesware actually plays nice with MSFT Outlook. Most of the compeition is gmail only.
Bit of a resource hog. Also it sets off false positives with my anti-virus program and sometimes it crashes outlook.

Enabling sales team to connect more closely with their prospect pools.
Check open, open rates, send later, templates, batch send using templates. This software has it all. Even works on Gmail and Outlook. Customer service also very responsive.
Enterprise edition is not cheap, but is probably worth it.

Yesware greatly works with Gmail and using it I can schedule an automatic email for running marketing and promotional campaigns.
This app greatly works with Gmail or Gsuite account and Outlook but is not available with all other emailing software which I least like about this software.

Not sure if the product performs well at its other functions, but I didn't see results with email/ attachment tracking.
I used this product while shopping for software to track email attachments; Yesware flogs that feature heavily on their website. The Pro was that their Outlook integration is pretty concise. A small button in the Outlook ribbon gives you access to a dropdown containing your Yesware dashboard. Given that I was only interested in this product to subtly see who'd opened or shared my emails, the key information was very easily found.
I don't know what the issue was but the product never seemed to work. It told me emails I'd sent hadn't been opened... when I'd actually sent them to a peer at a neighboring desk and watched him open the message. I allowed several days for the system to update but didn't see a status change. This strongly influenced my decision to not recommend this product to my superiors.

Yesware is one of a just few email campaign tools that has a direct integration with outlook. I Love that its really easy to set up and has all of the basic functionality to build a sequence of outreach emails. Some of my favorite features include: Templates and the ability to add merge tags, click /email tracking and analytics.
Implementation of new features seems rather slow compared to similar products and the analytics section is rather minimal. I'm also really suprised they don't offer webhooks or zapier access.

From signing up to upgrading, the customer support of yesware is great. They were able to answer my questions and provide quality insight on the product. I do wish yesware had the feature of organizing data a little better-- for instance, the opened emails in a mail merge-- but the filter system is great. The sidebar for outlook is also excellent, updating almost immediately from the time the email was opened. I would recommend yesware.
Filters are great, real time opened rates are awesome.
I wish it was easier to organize data- for example, opened emails from a mail merge.

Overall the experience has been very good. We have an inside sales team who use the tool and they see many benefits from it, including boosting productivity and tracking the opens/clicks that they get from campaigns and templates.
The interface is very user friendly, with an attractive appearance. I think the layout is logical and it's easy to find what you need, even though some functionalities don't appear to be accessible from every page, which would be useful (for example, from the home page you can access templates but not campaigns). The reporting is useful but could be more extensive. What I find the best thing about this tool is that you can train a novice o use it in an hour, and they can really boost their sales productivity by setting up campaigns and templates.
It would be useful if you could create a signature block which can be inserted into new templates (similar to Outlook), because when you copy/paste your signature into a template it requires a lot of formatting. I have used a similar tool called Tout and this was a good feature of that tool. Also, to insert an image you need to use a URL which is not easy to do and I feel it makes the process of inserting them too complex.
