Much better than Gmail!

2018-10-25

so much better than my experience with Gmail.

Pros

There are tons of features and it stays up-to-date on everything. I also like that the inbox has a good phone app as well.

Cons

The only one complaint I have with Zoho Mail is the fact that you can't share templates with your organization which is quite frustrating. Hope they will fix this soon!

Economical business mailing option

2018-12-17

Overall Zoho mail can be a option to Gmail in future, but needs improvements.

Pros

Used Zoho mail for sometime in past and found it very easy to use and economical. 1. Simple user interface with less advertisement and advanced functions to use. 2. Inbuilt notes and task scheduler function . 3. Interesting themes and templates to choose from and make it look better. 4. Works well on cross platform devices. 5. Use it with your own domain name. 6. Integrates other Zoho apps like sheet, docs etc.

Cons

1. Space is limited. 2. Website loading is very slow, it irritates me more.

The best and unique reason why I use Zoho mail; I can set up my own domain name for free!

2018-09-18

Pros

I don't know if any email service providers allow its users to connect a domain name for free, but Zoho mail does. I was surprised when I see a marketing email from them saying that I have been offered to connect my own domain name for free to my email and when I tried, it worked. It was the very beginning of a part time business I setup last year and Zoho mail helped to save lot of money as I didn't need to go for a separate provider to get a custom domain. The features offered were so much interesting in Lite plan. The initial setup was so easy and I did it myself.

Cons

The interface is not conventional like Gmail or Yahoo.

Free mail service for your website

2016-10-12

I needed to try out a free email platform because Godaddy didn't provide email. Zoho is easy to setup and works like a charm! Would definitely recommend to small businesses looking for a cheap option.

Pros

Free and easy to use

Cons

POP and IMAP is a little buggy when implementing with Gmail.

Will be good for some people, but not others

2018-12-11

Overall Zoho Mail is a feature-packed and highly useable email management system.

Pros

If anything I preferred the user-interface to that of GMail and the email workflow was as good, if not better than GMail.

Cons

Unfortunately, there were various features that I really needed that Zoho Mail just couldn't do, which was disappointing. I can say that their customer support team were on the ball and very responsive. Unfortunately, they could not help with my particular needs, but at least they were upfront and clear that it did not have the functionality that I required.

Excellent Alternative to Gmail for Business Email

2019-03-08

I wanted to move away from Gmail and Google Suites and I found Zoho to be a very capable and value-rich solution.

Pros

ZohoMail's templates and filtering capabilities add much-needed efficiency to email management. I also love the CRM integration. And, the customer service is excellent. If I have an issue, I can call a real person and get a solution fast.

Cons

My email did go down for a couple hours once, which doesn't happen with Gmail. But you can check the status of all Zoho services here: https://status.zoho.com/.

Never lets me down

2018-06-08

Fast and bulletproof email

Pros

Since using zoho I've never had any email issues, it's rock solid and faster than gmail + deliverability is better.

Cons

I wish it was possible to add more email accounts within an existing domain (sharing the total space) for free inside a paid plan.

Can No Longer Recommend To My Clients

2018-08-28

Unfortunately since Zoho no longer offers free imap access I no longer recommend Zoho to my clients and instead just set them up with a professional gmail account instead.

Pros

Interface is logical and UI is smooth, web mail, iPhone app, customizable push notifications, Gmail alternative, integration with custom domain names

Cons

They recently took away imap access for free accounts

My Favorite Email Client So Far

2018-09-07

I was attracted to Zoho for a small private enterprise because I could bring my own domain name. I appreciated its ease in setting up and use and the ability to have 25 users with a free account. The tool suite is rich and deep, although I don't use all of that functionality. Zoho provides a great user experience at a fraction of the cost of some of the big players. When my boss was looking at a new suite last year, I actually pitched it to her because I had such a great experience with it personally. Be aware that space with free accounts is limited to 5 GB, and if you have more than four users in your organization, your total outgoing emails between all of your is limited to 200 a day. Even with these limitations, it works great for us.

Pros

As a user, I love all the functionality available through Zoho tools that I was not getting through Gmail. I also much prefer the interface to both Hotmail and Gmail.

Cons

Despite me putting in too much work setting up and managing email routing rules, they have never worked as well as some other email clients. Things get routed to Spam that have been marked safe, and other emails don't always make it in the right folder that items from that sender should automatically route to. The big players figured this out long ago, so it feels like a big step back.

Cons

Zoho is a Nice Attempt to Replicate G Suite Experience

2018-07-03

Pros

Resemblance Gmail. They offer many other apps similar to G Suite.

Cons

Zoho Mail offers only a dozen free accounts to start with. That was not enough to test their services. We have more employees, so we decided to stay with G Suite apps.

A free mail service with your own domain name

2018-11-24

I have email addresses for my company, looks much more profesional than a Google or Yahoo address

Pros

After a configuration which was not too difficult a few years ago, I now have various email addresses with my own domain name for free. I connect my devices to it through IMAP and it works flawlessly. Functionalities are similar to other providers (filters, automatic reply etc). The free version is limited to 5 GB so you have to clean your mailboxes regularly

Cons

The website may not be as nice as Gmail but if you use dedicated software for collecting your emails you will not see it

Zoho Mail is a solid email service

2018-09-11

I was a huge proponent of Zoho Mail as a free alternative to Gmail for business.

Pros

I really like how well Zoho Mail works together with other tools in the Zoho suite, plus they have decent pricing for standard plans.

Cons

I don't like that Zoho recently removed IMAP functionality for new Mail accounts signing up for the free tier, it was definitely a blow to the overall value.
