Pros

What I enjoy most about Zoom is its ease of use, ability to record meetings, and its affordable price point.
The cost benefit is very good and ease of connection, I can share the screen during meetings, and excellent for my work.
The fact that it is easy to learn, as well as the quit and helpful response from customer service. I am glad it was recommended to me and I will continue to help others by doing the same.

Pros

It's super easy to use and straightforward. Very intuitive interface to interact with and works like a charm.
This is a great program that allows you to truly connect with your team and friends, the price is great and free.
I love that the app runs from the browser and does not need to be installed on the PC. I also love that it does not have a time limit and is very easy to use.

Cons

I think we were so overwhelmed by the zoom at this bad time that there is nothing to worry about.
If I do have problems sharing my screen, etc. then I have to typically leave zoom and re-enter the meeting. It always solves the problem but is an annoyance.
There has been a few times where Zoom doesn't work well with my internet and I'll randomly be dropped from calls with no warning.

Cons

I hate that when I'm presenting, I can no longer see the person I'm talking to. And I wish it automatically opened a new window rather than just a tab that can get lost if I have too many open.
I had many fake accounts from Africa try to entice me into lovers scams. Since rebranding, to Google meet it has been hacked twice this week.
I dislike seeing it when people are presenting something because it is a distraction and gets in the way of the display.

Cons

Best online teaching software

Reviewed 2 years ago

The best thing is that it provides seamless connectivity for video and audio sessions.

Pros

Zoom is one of the best audio and video conferencing application. Zoom's local recording feature enables both free and premium users to record conferences.

Cons

Current it didn't provide an instant meeting connection, similar to Google Meet without installing any software. It should also give limitless time at no cost, similar to Google Meet.

awesome app for virtual meetings

Reviewed 3 years ago

my overall experience with zoom is very satisfactory as i use its basic free plan and it fulfil my all needs .

Pros

i am not wrong if i will tell zoom as best app for virtual meetings lets start with some of the point which make it best out of its rival apps . 1- available free to download 2- easy and very handy you are able to work on PC as well as mobile smoothly in this app . 3-easy to share screen and present your audience presentation . 4-passcode for meeting feature makes it more secure . 5-number of participants...

Cons

lets talk about its cons though i feel its not cons . 1- the pricing is high as compared to google meet but zoom offers more option as compared to google meet. 2-zoom does not have auto caption option like it is google meet though you can use thi option by intigrating a third party app .

Pros

It's really easy to use Zoom, which is really the most essential part of meetings for remote employees. It makes it easy to integrate people in a variety of locations and communicate pretty seamlessly. We use it for huge company-wide meetings with over 500 people, 55% of which are remote, and it works super well.

Cons

Really no complaints! I love it, I think it's right on par with Google Meet.

Why Skype when you can Zoom

Reviewed 3 years ago

As of today, I am using both Zoom and Google Meet for the meetings. As Google meet is still in the development stage, I would keep using Zoom for the meetings.

Pros

Due to corona when physical classes were not available, our University and professors moved to Zoom to deliver lectures. Soon, our research meetings were shifted to zoom as well. I love its easy-to-use and installation features. It is a combination of Skype and Teamviewer. We can do video chat as well as can access other screens.

Cons

There are three features that need improvement. 1- Sometimes, screen sharing is disabled by the host, and it is difficult to turn it on because the feature isn't available right in front. One has to go to a button and then turn this feature on/off. 2- Although it allows screen sharing but can copy material from other laptops directly into our system. 3- Zoom doesn't offer multiple 'Room' features to attend multiple meetings with one account.

Zoom: one of the best conferencing mediums in the 21th century

Reviewed 2 years ago

My company uses Zoom for professional meetings and video conferencing sessions. Inviting leaders, employers, and workers via shared zoom connections has simplified and enhanced efficiency in the business. Yes, zoom is used throughout the organization. Zoom meetings and video conferencing seminars are used to discuss product and service mechanisms, commercial feasibility of products and services, research and development, and so on.

Pros

Zoom offers a user-friendly design, and its functions such as simultaneous voice, video conference, and screen sharing are noteworthy. Zoom is one of the top communication platforms for meeting efficiency and time savings. Zoom is unsuitable for unrestricted time-based virtual meetings for no cost. It does not have the [immediate link creation] feature that Google Meet has.

Cons

it would be better if it has unlimited time without additional cost like google meet another one that it should open meeting link instantly as google meet it would be very good if it's used without downloading like Microsoft teams

Pros

Cons

Zoom

A good software for on-line meetings

Reviewed 3 years ago

I have been using Zoom, Google Meet and Cisco Webex a lot for my work. I am not so familiar with Cisco so far, but about Zoom and Google Meet, the two software are very similar in functionality. There are a few difference that I noticed although. You cannot install Google Meet on your computer (at least I did not find a computer version), so you have to use it through your browser, as result Google Meet does not see my web camera. We have a colleague, who lives in India now, and we cannot use Zoom for our group meetings because of a bad connections, while Google Meet works fine.

Pros

A good reliable software for on-line meetings. Easy to connect and use, multi-platforms. You can use it through your browser or install on your computer. You can set up a meeting with a sharable link or create a secure meeting with a password and limited number of people. I like the feature that main view window automatically switch to a person who talks at the moment, it is very convenient in conversations. If you want to see all participants all the time, you can easily change your view layout. Notably, if you are uncomfortable that other people see your room behind you, you can set up another background for your video. I see that many people use the feature.

Cons

There are some issues with zoom chat although. At first, there is no option to save chat history, once you stop a zoom meeting, all information from your chat is gone. It is not convenient and should be changed. The second, links sent in zoom chat are not clickable for some reason. Hopefully, developers will fix these issues soon.

some people I work with don't have the same format as me so I need to use an older version and its a little frustrating.

Great for Communication!

Reviewed 3 years ago

Great experience.

Pros

During this pandemic google hangout has been a lifesaver in communicating with employees and students. It also does not lag as bad as zoom meets do!

Cons

I don’t feel it’s quite as secure as a zoom meeting, but still prefer it over zoom.

Good free solution

Good platform, no qualms outside of video qualtiy

Pros

Useful video conferencing tool that’s a nice addition to Google’s suite of free web tools. Easy to use and well featured.

Cons

Not as high quality video as Zoom and some other options on the market. Zoom is better for established businesses.

Best Free Unlimited Video Calls

Reviewed 4 years ago

Great until I discovered Zoom. Zoom allows for change of background and record meetings

Pros

If you cannot afford Zoom google hangout is your second best option. Really easy to use. An unlimited amount of people can join. Very easy to join calls. Unlimited amount of time for a call.

Cons

Quality of Video is not a great as Zoom. It doesn't give the option to record your meeting which makes you add another app to your computer.

Review of Google Meet

Reviewed 4 years ago

Not too bad. Google Meet still can add more features though.

Pros

Free of charge now. Easily accessible: once you login your gmail, you can instantly click the Google Meet link on the left.

Cons

Not as popular as Zoom. Many are not reluctant to use Google Meet because they get used to using Zoom.

Google Meet

One of the two top video conferencing tools

Reviewed 4 years ago

Google Meet is our company's 1 of 2 go-to video conferencing software used. We like the fact that it is built into the Gmail platform which makes it convenient to launch and schedule meetings with.

Pros

Google Meet is considered an alternative to Zoom at our company. Some of our colleagues use Google Meet instead of Zoom because it is built into the Gmail platform and works just like Zoom.

Cons

Some of our colleagues believe that Google Meet has more lag (less smoother) and lower video quality versus Zoom.

Great for meetings

Reviewed 4 years ago

This is a great platform to get people together to do group exercises and share experiences with each other.

Pros

Google meet allows me to group my clients together to have monthly group meetings. I usually do one on ones, but I like to have my clients interact with each other to share experiences. Google meet is a great platform for this.

Cons

I used to use zoom but Google Meet is more affordable. However, it does not have all of the same features that Zoom has.

Free and easy to use but unreliable

Reviewed 3 years ago

We use Google Meet occasionally instead of Zoom but have transitioned to primarily using Zoom because Google Meet is so unreliable.

Pros

Google Meet integrates seamlessly with other Google products, which makes it way quicker to use on a day-to-day basis than Zoom.

Cons

Google Meet's connection quality is unreliable compared to other video conferencing apps. It often cuts out or has poor quality audio and video.
