Pros

What we have found that we like the most is the ability to access this on mobile and workstations. Also, it is user friendly and very simple to use and customize to our requirements for COVID.
The templates they provide and the associated tools to customize your forms to fit your needs are great. If you every have questions or issues the support staff at GoCanvas has also been outstanding.
It has a contemporary look and feel, great mobile app, easy to integrate 3rd party tools or systems, the collaboration, communication and assessment tools are the best.

Pros

An application that improves its service by collecting data from its customers. With very good statistical tools we can see the customer is satisfied and make decisions.
By creating a simple elegant interface, with the ease of programming, and the ability to customize reports, it is an ideal package for helping educators understand and use evidence.
Features & Functionality - I think that Form.com, especially with their API, has the best features. Customer Support is outstanding - every person I have worked with at World App is world class.

Cons

The mobile app does not support all types of documents (it is not a recurring error, I have not been able to reproduce the error).
Billing and exceptionally bad customer service.
Possibly deleting former employees as well since this data is no longer needed. Maybe also have backups of individual employees when they leave on vacation so that we can get immediate attention.

Cons

The app lags during this process and sometimes will close by itself or the picture just acknowledged does not get added and is lost in the ether.
This app has also lost complete inspections and all photos with no record that they ever existed.
I was not delivered what was promised and then was nickel and dimed to do so. Ultimately had to completely abandon and hire a developer.

Good porduct but spendy

Customer service was great and the product did what everyone told us it would. We just needed a product that handle more solutions than GoCanvas could offer.

Pros

Form creation was simple and straightforward

Cons

It was expensive and we switched to a product that could handle things like vendor management, inventory, time tracking, GPS, etc....

Doing what it's supposed to do well

It does what it supposed to do well for simple to medium complex forms/ apps. For simple form it has no issue at all. For forms with more complicated and high volume of data, it has issues with some limitation here and there, e.g. only 75 rows of data will be displayed on the mobile device.

Pros

Apps/ form are very easy to customize and develop.

Cons

Limitation to use big reference data. Not really flexibility on PDF designer.

Great product for fillable forms

A very easy to use mobile form generator to allow me to go paperless.

Pros

The ease of creation of the forms and the ability to easily edit the forms as many times as needed and then the preview ability to really let you see how it works before trying to implement it. Great for capturing signatures as well.

Cons

A little bit of a learning curve on how different fields work and how best to set up the PDF so that the form is legible after filled out.

Liars and Thieves

First, do not trust their customer service response time. They say 24 hours. Reality is 3-6 days. When they reply, expect emails of half answers. If you email them back, plan to wait 24-72 hours to get a response to that email. One thing to their credit is that they did admit that their salespeople lie. That takes some bravery. After they admitted they lied to get our business, they told me they would switch us to another product they owned that actually does what we were promised. All we had to do was give them $8000....

Pros

It is easy to use and intuitive. Form building is fast.

Cons

How could a data collection service exist but not allow people to reasonably access and use the data? This app should be free. It really is that limited. For example, if you use this app to make a form that estimates you counted 100 items and later discovered it was 102 items, on a VERY limited basis, you can go back and change from 100 to 102. But, if you actually used that base number for another calculation, don't think GoCanvas will recalculate after you changed the number. You have to do all of your own recalculations, It is ridiculous. Worse, the salespeople will promise anything. We trusted them, spent over 100 hours building the app and then found out we were lied to.

Quick forms that can be deployed to users with the ability to analyze the input in Excel

Pros

The ease in which a form can be created and deployed to users. I also like the ability to export the data in order to perform analysis.

Cons

Unable to attach additional files to the form. There are reports that are not static that I would like to be able to have saved and added to the form prior to submission

Retiring / Archiving Forms

With strong support from [SENSITIVE CONTENT]and the others in GoCanvas support, we have been able to work through all out issues over the course of the last 5+ years since I have been working with The Land Stewards.

Pros

GoCanvas is a user-friendly platform that is a valuable tool for us. We primarily use GoCanvas at The Land Stewards for our SWPPP (Stormwater Pollution Prevention Planning) inspections. The thing I like most about the software is the speed at which a form captures the data we need in the field and the stability of the app's features.

Cons

The part I like the least about this software is the difficulty in creating / editing the PDF output from a form when building a new form. When the PDF prints from a printer it needs to look a certain way and designing a new form takes quite a bit of trial and error to resolve and get looking right.

Good product, relatively easy to learn, comes with outstanding and responsive customer support.

Pros

A form can be designed and put into production in very short order as long as you have an idea of what you need the form to do and how you would like it laid out.

Cons

It took me a little while to get used to the way the user accounts/groups/assigned apps are organized. Some tasks like assigning an app to a group are not as intuitive as I would like.

Canvassing for a Solution

For what it was worth, the ability to fill out our Health and Safety daily form on GoCanvas was an easy and practical method.

Pros

We used GoCanvas to house the Health and Safety form that is submitted at the beginning of each day of field work. It was simple and straightforward and convenient to use on smartphones.

Cons

For what could just be done (and what we ended up doing) on a Google Form for free was being done in GoCanvas. Given the current situation with our company, we unfortunately made the switch to putting our form on Google Forms.

GoCanvas Apps has improved our field correspondence

We've worked with GoCanvas the last 2 years to make our field foreman paperless with all of their forms including Field Reports, Safety Inspections and Meetings, Request for Information, and Extra Work Orders. No longer do we wait a week to get a carbon copy of these forms, not to mention how easy to read they've become.

Pros

Forms are easy to create, just send your current ones to GoCanvas and for a small fee they convert for use on laptops, iPads and smartphones. Data can autofill from a spreadsheet we maintain and upload quite easily.

Cons

The form you fill out on your iPad, phone or laptop does not look like the final PDF form. You gather the info on a rather bland layout, then send it to GoCanvas who re-formats the info into your professional looking PDF.

This was my first software I have worked with that helped me digitize all our forms and that was very helpful in moving my company forward.

Pros

I enjoy the form fields are completely customizable and you can create a nice looking PDF with the final product.

Cons

I would of continued to use this product except I have to upload all the forms to the locations they need to be so for me I needed a software that did that.

Great mobile form tool

We are a long established company that works in the construction sector and moving towards digital is a need but is typically met with tension as it takes longer to fill out a mobile form than a sheet of paper. GoCanvas overcomes this with a spreadsheet like interface that makes moving through a checklist simple and quick.

Pros

You can essentially loop through a list and make a spreadsheet in your form which makes adoption from paper forms much easier.

Cons

If you do the loop you have to manually integrate or pay gocanvas and integration and hosting fee. Otherwise Zapier works for most things.

The ease of creating forms and end user experience has made rolling out the software , well, easy. The departments are in charge of their own forms and any changes which avoids delays they would otherwise experience contacting IT.

Cons

Currently, there is not the ability to attach documents to the form. We have the need to include official documents to some of the forms that have been created. We are working around that by taking a photo which works in some cases.

They throw promotions with a few more users than you need at same price just to lock you in to year contract. Not good

Pros

Nice user interface and editable pdf format

Cons

Workflows stinks. App sync stinks. Not able to keep a form open to edit by different departments without handing it off.

Pros

With GoCanvas I was able to put all of my documentation and contracts into a digital form that made it easy to go entirely paper-free.

Cons

I had to get used to the method in which the documents were stored, but once I realized how the system worked I was able to use it very efficiently.

Cons

No, everything is awesome. I do wish I could receive a text when one of my team answers yes to a COVID form question in addition to an email.

Save time and money!

We are a commercial and institutional HVAC service company. GoCanvas has solved several issues including legibility of service tickets (previously hand written) as well as quick delivery of the tickets (used to use FedEx overnight at the end of each week for each field employee). This cut our billing time down by 2 weeks. We are also using GoCanvas to create weekly time sheets, field quote sheets, time off requests and vehicle repair requests. We have several other forms which we will be creating soon. The staff at GoCanvas is extremely knowledgeable and creative. I have not come across anybody that was not excited about their product and ready and willing to solve my problems. I highly recommend GoCanvas for forms and processes to any industry with a need.

Pros

GoCanvas is simple to learn and use. If you either cannot or don't have time to learn the software, their customer support can help design and setup almost any form that you can envision.

Cons

Nothing in life is perfect. GoCanvas is still working to fill the gaps of what it cannot yet do. I wish the GoCanvas submissions would interact with my database software but it will not and that is not a GoCanvas issue either. My database software company will not talk (literally or figuratively) with GoCanvas. Despite this setback, GoCanvas is still a better option (in our opinion) than using the mobile version of the database software.

Go Canvas is a Force Multiplier

We solved our field service ticket and manual inspection sheet issue. We were utilizing computers, tablets and having to access excel and then email to send these forms. Now the techs can utilize their phones and email directly to customer and supervisor when complete. This has allowed us to become much more versatile and is causing other departments to question their processes.

Pros

The basics are very easy to learn and you can quickly create simple forms that allow you advanced mobilization.

Cons

When a form has to be dynamic the software becomes a little more complicated and having to set the app up and then the layout on the pdf can be somewhat time consuming.

Easy to use mobile app for completing forms

Pros

The forms are easy to complete and scale well on any mobile device. You can capture GPS coordinates, camera information, time stamps, etc. You can implement 'if' conditions in the form editor to only display necessary information based on user selections.

Cons

The drag and drop interface of the online forms editor is cumbersome to use. For example, let's say a section of a form has a title, text box, and a dropdown field. If there are 5 sections, then each of the elements in each section have to be copied and then moved to the new sections of the form. There is no way to select the 3 elements as a group and paste them 5 times

Use it Everyday

Been very good overall. I have recommended it to some of our fellow dealers.

Pros

You customize your form very easy from the dashboard. We are presently using 12 apps that we designed. A team of 10 people are suing them everyday. No real issues, things can be changed on the fly if need be.

Cons

Nothing really. It took a little time to lean the app building. The learning curve was not very steep at all.

This app is very easy to use in sending my customers online forms rather than paper forms which can take up space and time filling them out. It is very easy to complete a form online rather than on paper with a pen.

Cons

Some forms do not open correctly which is embarrassing when the client informs you of this.

I started using GoCanvas because we do a lot of Motor Home (RV) Mechanical Inspections and the techs writing on my forms was quite often difficult to read. I bought an iPad and turned my form into an APP and my customers Love it! The techs find it easy to use.

Pros

I like the fact that I can customize the forms to my personal needs

Cons

Been a user for quite some time now- over 5 years, at the beginning the apps were a little difficult to make, I spent many hours getting my APP to where it is today (Version 58) the newer app builder is much, much better than previous versions.

Eliminated paper forms, improved tracking, data storage, and improved accuracy.

Pros

It is easy to design an app and it was very intuitive for our crew to figure out how to use it. The ability to take pictures in the form really improved out accuracy and error finding. The fact that everything was stored in the cloud really improved our record keeping ability.

Cons

The price isn't really worth it for the functionality that we use. We pay for things that we do not use.

GoCanvas was the first and the only solution that we decided upon for our paperless contract documentation. We love the easy to use an app and the ability to scale with future employees. If We had one complaint it would the learning curve it takes to set up a new form. But once you understand how to build it everything is a snap.
