2020-11-30

Overall I liked the product especially for environments where they appreciate open-source software

Pros

It is also very popular it means there are many thrid party plugins available for this product.

Cons

It adds complexities for some of the clients as every third party is required to go to an individual review process .

Convenient and easy site management system

2019-01-18

Pros

The platform provides a large selection of properties when building rubricators, it has the ability to control user access rights.

Cons

There is no built-in tool for importing and exporting data, and a small number of plug-ins to extend the basic functionality of the platform forces our programmers to write some modules on their own.

Flexible but tough for beginners platform

2018-12-30

Pros

I like Drupal because it offers a huge number of additional functions, including content management, a visually appealing interface, easy navigation, and search engine optimization.

Cons

In comparison with WordPress, a smaller number of plug-ins has been developed for this engine. To use the platform, you must have the appropriate knowledge and skills.

Intuitive and Low Cost CMS

2020-09-30

My internal development team wanted to spin up a quick website for internal communication. And, make it secure so only authenticated internal employees could login to see confidential company information. Drupal open source CMS was able to do this implementation at low cost using developers who had the experience in using CMS like Drupal. For ongoing maintenance or upgrades of our company website, we had to refer to online documents provided by Drupal. So, additional human support can help lift its value more.

Pros

We are also able to implement basic survey and analytics, without any issues.

Cons

It supports templates but not drag and drop features for files which is a common feature now a days in most advanced content management services.

2018-05-11

full featured CMS

Pros

Many features already available. A feature that might be premium in other CMS, it is free in Drupal.

Drupal's learning curve is too steep.

2018-05-05

Drupal has been very useful to especially on my client side projects since i can use it as an API as well.

Pros

With relevant experience, prototyping in drupal can be very rapid and a hustle-free activity. The scaling of a project is also excellent.

Cons

Drupal con sometimes be very slow due to it's high consumption of resources especially for beginners who have not set it up properly yet.

Great platform with full control

2019-12-21

I personally made only a few sites on Drupal, but I liked the work and the result.

Pros

I value CMS Drupal the most because it gives you complete control over site management, analytics, plugins, SEO, and generally the entire administrative panel.

Cons

Once again I want to note that CMS Drupal is essentially a constructor. Do not buy a subscription if you need a simple site. Only IT specialists can handle this platform, it is not for beginners.

Very well engineered CMS

2020-09-30

Drupal has been an excellent CMS and has helped us greatly in implementing and maintaining a data driven website.

Pros

It has been a pleasure to work with Drupal and how it has been designed from the ground up to handle all manner of complicated scenarios seamlessly.

Cons

With the transition to Drupal 8 and beyond, a lot of contributed modules that we were using on Drupal 7 became unusable and there seems to be no plan to update these modules from the contributors. We've had to look into paying extra for custom module programming to update to Drupal 8.

Want to use an unnecessarily complex CMS? Drupal is for you

2019-12-05

For example, drupal permissions management is excellent.

Pros

Some of its design choices make sense, and actually help you set up a complex site without diving in too deep.

Cons

Unnecessary complex. The software cannot evolve at the same rythm of the web. Some packages that were crucial in Drupal7 are still in Beta in Drupal8, and several years have passed. Basically if you choose to go with Drupal, you are on your own.

One of the most robust and secure Web CMS in the market

2018-07-27

The security of having a tool that allows me to deal with almost any web project that requires content management, scalability and security.

Pros

If you do not need to develop your own interface from scratch, you can choose one of the large number of free themes available and adapt it to your needs, being able to even configure many features without modifying the source code.

Cons

The fact of being an almost module-dependent system for most of the functionalities can force you to deal with many configurations, compatibility issues and workflows when you want to implement complex functionalities that may even need several modules working together.

Great opensource framework for Website/CMS system - Drupal

2020-02-04

our new website is switched over easily and better improved after lunching using new Drupal 8 framework.

Pros

Its module-based core design; 2. Its new YAML-based definitions/configurations system; 3.

Cons

some features seem a bit complex for beginners; system management may need more tech skills; the learning curve to develop for drupal may not as simple as for wordpress, etc.

The Supreme CMS

2021-02-12

It was a difficult process to start. I came from Wordpress which was stupid simple, but once I learned Drupal and realized the power it had I was completely sold. It's great for all sizes of projects and has a great community of people using it.

Pros

Drupal's content management struct and philosophy is so robust.

Cons

The learning curve on Drupal is high. The documentation is cumbersome and so it's difficult to know where to begin without help from somebody who already knows. That said, once you "get" Drupal you'll never look back

Feature reach Content Management System

2019-09-28

Pros

Drupal is a feature reach content management software that provides a robust and agile platform to publish, manage and edit content of multiple websites on the go.

Cons

Drupal is an open source platform and in my work I feel two challenges. One being no visibility on the road map of the product that makes it difficult to take investment decisions and second is lack of customer support on the go.
