Convenient and easy site management system

2019-01-18

Pros

The platform provides a large selection of properties when building rubricators, it has the ability to control user access rights.

Cons

There is no built-in tool for importing and exporting data, and a small number of plug-ins to extend the basic functionality of the platform forces our programmers to write some modules on their own.

Extremely powerful open source CMS

2019-04-22

If you need powerful roles and permissions this is the only choice.

Pros

Once I got comfortable using Drupal I'm very impressed. The security and flexibility are second to none. I haven't made the switch to Drupal 8 (and I hear it's very different) but I look forward to learning it.

Cons

Since most features are add on modules, it can get a little tedious updating and patching modules. But same can be said for WordPress. The learning curve was a bit steep as well.

Want to use an unnecessarily complex CMS? Drupal is for you

2019-12-05

For example, drupal permissions management is excellent.

Pros

Some of its design choices make sense, and actually help you set up a complex site without diving in too deep.

Cons

Unnecessary complex. The software cannot evolve at the same rythm of the web. Some packages that were crucial in Drupal7 are still in Beta in Drupal8, and several years have passed. Basically if you choose to go with Drupal, you are on your own.

Now I know Drupal

2018-03-08

The best benefits we have obtained with the tool is that it is very easy to use and facilitates the management of user roles, which for other CMS is not so good.

Pros

I have been working with other similar CMS and I have been able to realize that what I like most about this is that it serves better to work the user roles. This has facilitated many things in the projects we have done with this tool lately.

Cons

There is a difference that I have noticed and is that when uploading content with this tool there are many variables that can be changed, I think there are some that are not so necessary and that can confuse the editors, it is possible that they remain alone for the administrators.

Flexible but tough for beginners platform

2018-12-30

Pros

I like Drupal because it offers a huge number of additional functions, including content management, a visually appealing interface, easy navigation, and search engine optimization.

Cons

One of the most robust and secure Web CMS in the market

2018-07-27

The security of having a tool that allows me to deal with almost any web project that requires content management, scalability and security.

Pros

Eventually, almost any functionality you may need can be added to the system through modules (built based on PHP, JavaScript, HTML and CSS).

Cons

The fact of being an almost module-dependent system for most of the functionalities can force you to deal with many configurations, compatibility issues and workflows when you want to implement complex functionalities that may even need several modules working together.

A Better Value Than WordPress

2018-12-14

Drupal can be used as a standard website or in a "headless" mode to provide data to other sources.

Pros

The community support for this product is incredible. There are no licensing fees and the number of modules available to accomplish tasks is very good. Updates are all found in one location. Unlike WordPress there are no separate licenses for each plug-in, each having their own upgrade path.

Cons

The learning curve can be steep but once you have invested your time, this tool becomes a blank canvas.
