El desarrollo de smart device va muy lento comparado con los IDE oficiales en cuanto a APIS, y en cuanto a la compilacion en el caso de Android studio los requisitos para publicar en Play Sotore van solicitando cada vez alto nivel de API, y tipo de archivo en lugar de .apk ahora solicitan .aab cosa que genexus aun no hace.

Nos garantiza la evolución hacia el futuro con la evolución de los lenguajes de programación y framework. Es un producto fácil de usar ya que con pocos pasos podemos tener un software totalmente funcional y listo para mostrar. Se integra fácilmente con muchas tecnología de punto y actuales para poder expandir las funcionalidades de cualquier producto. Tiene mucha información en Internet disponible para todos para empezar rápidamente a capacitarnos.

Que es un poco costoso en las licencias para desarrolladores que desean empezar a usarlo. Podría tener una mejor integración con Azure para que aproveche todas sus características y ventajas actuales. Podrían tener un mejor control de las extensiones que son muy útiles pero un poco difícil de evolucionar entre versiones.

Genexus facilita muito a rastreabilidade de código, possui serviço de versionamento, workflow, testes, integração com bancos de dados mais populares, e a parte de desenvolvimento de apps mobile, ao meu ver, está amadurecendo mais e mais a cada dia.

Genexus impõe uma filosofia de trabalho - não seja a ser algo ruim mas acaba limitando. Não se tem a plena liberdade de linguagens de código aberto, por exemplo. Também lança mão de diversos componentes externos para realizar determinadas tarefas mais avançadas, e para estes raramente haverá documentação disponível, além de uma dificuldade grande em receber o suporte adequado. Para se atingir resultados mais satisfatórios, é comum se lançar mão de templates, que por sua vez são vendidos por empresas externas e não são baratos.

GeneXus deals with so many technical details and that frees you up to not have to worry about every little technical detail. However, this is a double-edged-sword. You can fall into the trap or letting GeneXus worry about everything to the point that you can become out of touch with technology trends.

It is an intelligent tool that in just a few clicks and knowledge about development can generate a good information system It has most of the programming platforms, development languages and environments necessary today. With a minimum of clicks we can generate for iOS, Android, Windows, Mobile and it continues to grow An excellent tool and an extraordinary investment.

Well, it doesn't really have bad points or cons. You just have the build detail because now everything runs and builds in the cloud. If at any time we do not have Internet or No Data, then the process stops. But hey, it no longer depends on the GENEXUS company. Highly recommended, anyway.
