Genexus Consulting delivers an incredible value to the US market from its headquarters in Montevideo Uruguay. With their near shore model, your developers are in a similar timezone and bill at affordable rates. I really appreciate that Genexus Consulting puts security at the top of its priorities from the beginning of every product. I was very happy with the personal attention I received from Genexus Consulting and could not recommend them more.

He podido desarrollar aplicaciones con tiempos sensiblemente mejores que si hubiera trabajado con lenguajes convencionales. En este momento no puedo concebir un desarrollo sin una herramienta low-code como ésta.
GX permite especificar código con gran facilidad y los diferentes generadores implementar en una variedad de plataformas. He trabajado generando aplicaciones RPG / AS400, SQLServer / Java / .Net / Win, Web y aislándome de las cuestiones técnicas de la plataforma. GX acompaña la evolución tecnológica. Recuerdo los primeros días cuando la llave de acceso era un diskette de 5,1/4 y hoy desarrollamos aplicaciones web y mobile, Chatbots, etc...
Me gustaría que GX posea orientación a objetos en el código fuente.

We are development software for the Tire Retail and Retreading industry where there are not many options to choose for this industry, especially retreading. We have done a number of interfaces with large tire corporations. GeneXus being a low code platform has allowed us to remain lean thus reducing overhead without suffering productivity losses. In my experience I was able to reduce the size of a development team in a COBOL shop from 14 developers down to 2 developers and a project manager without loss of productivity.
There are many features to like about this development tool and the company that makes it. GeneXus is very in tune with technology and the trends and where its going. This allows me the comfort in knowing that when a digital wave comes I will not have to learn a new development tool in order to build solutions for the new technology. GeneXus has allowed me to carry my hard work from the 90's and without having to reprogram and rewrite thus preserving my hard work. I have literally brought AS/400 code to the windows client/server and then to the web.
GeneXus has just about filled my wish list over the years. They really listen to their customer base and are genuine in doing so. I personally would like to see more on how to take advantage of things such as Live Video streaming as video content is huge these days. GeneXus does interact with a smart device camera but I'd like to see it become easier, especially with the web. This may already be in existence with their new GeneXus 16 version and I've just not read about it.

Impressive tool that I have been using for almost two decades When I managed GENEXUS, my life in systems development changed radically. It is not really programmed anymore, it is simply described. And it is that describing goes beyond lines and codes. Now with the recent and updated version, I can develop a STARTUP for smartphones in less than an hour and with a few clicks, generate the APPS for Mobile Windows, iOS, Android and Windows. Great smart tool. Besides the cost you have, it is well worth it because it is a huge investment. It is highly recommended for medium and large companies. In small companies, a feasibility study should be carried out.
It is an intelligent tool that in just a few clicks and knowledge about development can generate a good information system It has most of the programming platforms, development languages and environments necessary today. With a minimum of clicks we can generate for iOS, Android, Windows, Mobile and it continues to grow An excellent tool and an extraordinary investment.
Well, it doesn't really have bad points or cons. You just have the build detail because now everything runs and builds in the cloud. If at any time we do not have Internet or No Data, then the process stops. But hey, it no longer depends on the GENEXUS company. Highly recommended, anyway.

Trabalho com a ferramenta há 15 anos, já solucionamos todos os tipos de problemas e desafios impostos, automação, controladoria e BI são alguns exemplos que posso citar.
Fácil desenvolvimento e manutenção, integração com aplicativos e plataformas de terceiros de forma nativa e simples. A escolha da linguagem e do banco de dados relacional, assim como a própria manipulação das tabelas é um diferencial. A aderência com processos e regras de negócios da empresa são facilmente implementados, além do ganho de produtividade que se ganha ao invés de se utilizar uma linguagem de programação qualquer.
Apesar de ser comum falando de softwares, seria interessante que recursos novos sejam disponibilizados em versões anteriores (ao menos na anterior). Outro recurso que sentimos falta é uma Design Pattern mas completae robusta já nativa, ao invés de adquirirmos outro produto.

Business apps are being built and maintained by us. Applications adapt well to many technologies and are relatively simple to maintain. At the factory, I'm now building web apps to solve a number of problems that were previously solved using excel, greatly improving output and reducing user burden. Consumers were able to calculate their own prices, which created an incentive for them to cooperate with the company.
What I appreciate most about it is that all of its operations are automated, allowing for the construction and full administration of software systems without the need for substantial initial investments. enables you to concentrate on creating quicker apps rather than thinking about the challenges of creating new software. The IDE runs on Windows. But, the solution may be produced in dotNet, Java and Net Core. It produces a front-end client that is compatible with Angular, Android, iOS, and the web.
The wiki probably works across multiple platforms since it can support legacy systems. Because of its high cost, small and medium-sized organisations may find it difficult to deploy. The supporting material is appalling. Only a few samples are given, and there is no idex or thorough explanation. Because of this, learning takes a long time.

Já participei de projetos de diferentes meios, e em todos eles notei a facilidade em desenvolver com Genexus, e , pensava que eu nunca iria me familiarizar tanto com uma plataforma.
Facilidade em desenvolver rotinas que são exigidas pelos clientes, a praticidade do “Low-Code” que nos dá uma autonomia em se preocupar somente com aquilo que é necessário, e o resto o genexus automatiza, além de ser super intuitivo e qualquer pessoa com conhecimentos minimos conseguem se desenvolver.
As vezes alguns recursos são limitados, e temos que realizar algumas integrações por fora, mas nada surreal, afinal a cada atualização são adicionados novos recursos.

La rapidez con la que se puede hacer cualquier prototipo para validar una idea y luego continuar sobre esa base iternado de forma continuia no hay otra igual
El generador de chatbot paso a necesitar una licencia y el servicio final del mismo no es de Genexus sino de un tercero eso no me gusto.

He realizado primero los cursos free y luego ambas certificaciones (junior y analista) sobre la versión 16. Al desarollar el esqueleto de las apps es fácil y rápido pero luego para ocuparse de la parte gráfica ux/ui es un poco obsoleto y las integraciones con productos de diseño aún están verdes.
La facilidad de desarrollar rápidamente, hacer cambios y ver el resultado en minutos sin preocuparse por lo que pase en la base de datos.
Creo que es una herramienta excelente pero le falta bastante en la parte de ux/ui. Si bien la v16 y la 17 han mejorado en este aspecto aún van atrás respecto a otras plataformas de low code disponibles hoy.

el producto em gusta, incorporamos WW+ xq lo que genera genexus es hiper pobre para apliaciones del siglo XXI. y lo que me preocupa son los costos, tienen costos de mant muy altos , si no tenes una cantidad de proyectos que lo financien.de nuev ocomparado con otros deberia haber algu nrelease con monos cosas que te permita hacer manteniemto de cosas intsaldos y no requieras un version full.
LA implementacion de back end es muy buena. para diseniar es un lujo
el fort end es pobre y con pco funcionalidad, usamos otros productos de low code y son muchos mas amigables en lo q generan

Una de las mejores herramientas que existen, tiene muchas facilidades y áreas de oportunidad para implementar ayuda externa.
Genexus es low-code y esto nos ayuda a disminuir el tiempo de desarrollo significativamente , además que es multiplataforma tanto en lenguaje de desarrollo como en base de datos. De igual manera se pueden implementar controles externos para tener una vista diferente sin que esto afecte la funcionalidad de genexus.
No tengo ningún problema con el software hasta el momento.
