Gliffy Diagram Feature Reviews

Excellent Diagram Tool

2019-09-13

Gliffy works great for me because I can create it in Confluence on a Wiki page and edit it real-time in a quick efficient manner.

Pros

It also integrates with Confluence making a Wiki page diagram an easy activity.

Cons

There are a few areas where Gliffy is not intuitive and it lacks an easy explanation/help/ However since it's very intuitive to use, this is not a large problem.

Great online diagram creation tool

2020-09-24

Gliffy has been a great addition to our organization as it is being used by several department and practice groups to diagram processes, as well as organization charts, and technical documentation. It is easy to administer, and simple to learn with

Pros

Gliffy's strongest feature is its drag and drop functionality.

Cons

Visio, Lucidchart), however for cost, ease of use, and integration into our other tools it more then makes up for some losses in more specified requirements.

Great for simple diagrams, but lacking for a go-to

2018-09-25

Pros

Drag and drop web UI is easy to get started with as well.

Cons

I use it more for conceptual workflows vs. something I'd want to present due to this.

Use to do flowcharts, diagrams

2017-11-07

I use Gliffy to provide necessary visualization to management, co-workers, and customers when proposing and managing business process change.

Pros

Gliffy is a great way to get into flowcharts, diagrams, and process flow mapping without dealing with low-quality drawing tools or high-price software packages.

Cons

I *once* had a printout/export problem because of problems with a browser version.

It's a great tool for flow charts and process flow diagrams

2018-04-24

Using this to create process flow diagrams to communicate flows in the product to business users who would otherwise have a hard time understanding the different workflows is a huge benefit for us.

Pros

It has most of the elements that we need as ready drag and drop elements and it's great at alignments, flow arrows, etc.

Cons

It seems very limited to strictly flow charts of process flow diagrams. It's very hard to make other kinds of diagrams or mockups. In that way, it is quite limited.

can be great for first draft for getting ideas in flow chart or diagram to better view process, for development of operations.

Pros

I like the fact that it could be used without any install on the cient, just in the Atlassian stack of appliacions.

Cons

limited support of all objects types can be easy to learn with drag and drop, but not as full featured as expected built in.

I have used Visio in the past and didn't have to search as much as with this tool.

Pros

The add library feature is easy to use for adding shapes.

Cons

Additionally I haven't found a way to integrate the cloud version that my company paid for to JIRA or Confluence.

Simple and quick, Confluence integration, lots of other integrations, but limited

2014-04-17

Good range of available symbols and easy to add your own stencils from a SVG-based artwork (and JPG importing was easy too).

Pros

Quick Free versions available Lots of integrations: Chrome, Google Drive, Google Docs Addin, MS word Addin, Confluence.

Cons

You have to pay desperately for each integration: e.g. a paid for confluence license won't equate Visio import has to be paid for.

Strong web based Diagramming tool- slick interface and strong features

2017-10-11

Great interface to work with and did speed up the process of generating complex diagrams

Pros

The interface in Gliffy is really slick and intuitive to use- this allows for even complex diagrams to be mapped out very quickly and the user experience is generally very good.

Cons

Google drive integration isnt available on the base subscription- price point is a little higher compared to similarly options and I believe it is an annual plan rather than monthly

Gliffy is a place that you can create a simple diagram, such as a floor plan or a flowchart.

2018-05-16

For example, I am a software developer, is easy for me to create flowcharts, Database Schema and those charts that are relevant for me.

Pros

Different types of diagram can be created easily. Cost is low, can be found in Confluence and also Jira

Cons

Google drive integration is only limited to business team account. Export to Visio format is a headache.

The accessible flowchart application designed with ease of use in mind

2018-05-01

Helps me create flowcharts to visualize complex processes and relationships

Pros

Plus, there is a free version so that if you don't find yourself frequently making flowcharts but occasionally have something that really just needs one to help visualize it, you don't have to be a trained user in expensive software to be able to make a simple flowchart.

Cons

I can't really think of anything negative to say about Gliffy, it's a joy to use and I've never really encountered any issues using it.

Gliffy - good honest package

2020-07-30

Overall very good, still use.

Pros

The ease of use was particularly good. The drag and drop facility meant that diagrams could be completed in seconds.
